Amazing little Korean corndog stand outside of the Joyce-Collingwood skytrain station. Owner is super friendly and fun to chat with.
They've got 8 different takes on the classic corndog on their menu with flavours from a chicken dog, to veggie dogs, to an all-cheese dog.
My personal favourite is the Burning Ham(cheddar and jalapeño smokie). My partner usually gets the Mozzarella Crunchy ( half-cheese half-sausage).
These corndogs are cooked to order and come out of the stand so fresh and crunchy its to die for.
There's 8 or 9 different sauces to choose from ranging from ketchup to honey garlic.
Keep your eyes out for this dangerous temptation next time you're in the areaHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 215218930739Oct 13, 2022
Korean corn dogs. I love corn dogs and Korean style makes it even better!
The owner/staff was lovely and suggested I dusted it with sugar and recommended the chipotle mayo sauce over it.
There were a few choices of corn dogs and I made a mistake by getting the mozza-rella crunch corn dog. I thought it would be both cheese and hotdog in it. Turned out it was pure mozzarella in it. It was very cheesy with a great pull but I wished I got the one with both cheese and meat. Ahhhh, next time.
It is not very filling but it makes a good snack.
It is usually outside joyce station but check the food truck app or website for the location.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Nov 13, 2022
I am a huge fan of korean style corn dogs! I was passing by Joyce skytrain station and the yellow food truck caught my eye. It was a rainy day and there were a bunch of people holding umbrellas waiting for their order. I thought "wow, if people are willing to wait in the rain for this, then it's gotta be good!" to be honest, that was my thought process that allowed me to be willing to wait in line too haha.
I ordered the jumbo crunchy corn dog and added the gochujang and mayo sauce. I enjoyed the flavour of the sauces very much! I think I expected a crunchier texture for the coating though. Overall, I still enjoyed eating it and it was a fun hot treat to brighten my mood while we were experiencing down-pour rain in Vancouver.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 83190517Apr 13, 2022
Discovered this gem of a food truck in River District on Saturday while walking around the neighbourhood. Tried the half mozza and half sausage corndog and it was delicious but wish there was a full sausage with full mozza cheese. Sadly, they don't offer this on the menu.
The following Saturday I made sure to visit Dog Corndog again and ordered the Burning Ham Crunchy Corndog where it's a cheddar jalapeno sausage. The batter is made fresh so that the batter dough is fresh, fluffy but not oily. Jalapeno cheddar sausage was amazing with a bit of a kick to it.
The vendor will ask if you want sugar on top of the Corndog and I highly recommend it! You can't really taste it but the guy said it makes it taste even more delicious so who am I to argue?
Great corndog and good value! I can't wait to try more flavours!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 17, 2021
It's good and some of their corn dogs are actually quite filling especially if you get their jumbo cheese smokies. The nice gentleman I've consistently seen parked in front of Joyce Skytrain station is good at multi-tasking. I haven't had to wait for more than 5 mins for my corn dog to be ready although he does get a bit busier during the end of day commute. This is like an amped up version of the classic corn dog with some Korean-inspired flavours. Give it a try if you haven't had a chance to experience this!

Very nice flavour and nice crisp to the batter. I'd only wish the batter stayed on the corn dog. The condiment side flips upside down

With the corn dog craze ongoing, I figured I should try some! We were visiting my aunt who lives near Joyce and we stumbled on this place.
The dough around the hot dogs was amazing. Soft, chewy, and a bit sweet.
Had the mozza crunchy corn dog which was half cheese, half hot dog. The cheese was just a cheese stick and the hot dog was just a regular hot dog (not sure why I expected more lol).
We also ordered the burning ham crunchy corn dog. Seemed like a Walmart spicy sausage inside of the dough, once again not sure why I expected more. Just didn't taste great on the inside. But the dough was amazing and we will be back to try some more with their sauces.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Leeza N.Vancouver, BC166291834Apr 23, 2021First to Review
Dog Eat Corndog is a Korean corndog food truck that is often parked outside of Joyce skytrain station! They have a variety of corndogs, ranging from ones filled with mozzarella cheese and some with hot dog weiners inside! The corndogs are made to order and once they're fried, they will ask you if you want to coat it with sugar. You also get to pick from a variety of sauces to customize your corndog. I HIGHLY reccomend the sugar coating because this is the Korean style and it also will give your corndog a nice sweetness and crunch. So far, I've tried the crunchy corndog which has a chicken weiner inside, the batter, crunch and sauce is good but the weiner is nothing special. I also tried the mozza crunchy corndog which is half mozzarella and half pork/beef/chicken weiner inside. I LOVED the mozzarella inside, it made the corndog taste like a giant mozzarella stick and was sooo stretchy and tasty. However, I found the weiner really salty. I think the best would be all mozzarella corndog. I will be returning since the service is great and the corndogs are affordable and tasty. The first time I went, they didn't have trays yet so it was a bit messy to eat but now they got trays since the sauces are a bit drippy. I will be coming back to try more of these corndogs soon!

I've walked by and driven by this food truck plenty of times and it always piqued my interest. It often has a small crowd around it. Finally, I decided to try it. I ordered a mozza-crunchy corn dog and a mozza-rella crunchy corn dog or as the friendly man who took my order confirmed a #2 and #3. The only difference between the #2 and #3 is that one has a hot dog wiener as well as mozzarella and the other only has mozzarella in the middle. The mozzarella did not disappoint. It gooed out with my first bite and I described it to friends as the biggest and best mozzarella stick I've ever had. The mozzarella and hot dog wiener corn dog was good too but it felt very much the same as the mozzarella corn dog because there was very little wiener. I had to eat through more than half to find the wiener. And when I got to it, I could barely taste the wiener because it was overpowered by the mozzarella. In addition, this wasn't a regular wiener; it was two small cocktail wieners that were fairly tasteless. All in all the meal was good. I could only finish one and a half corn dogs as they are large and very filling. I would have liked a bit a more classic wiener but if you're looking for a great mozza stick that is very large and filling, this place is a great choice!
