I liked it a lot. Huge menu of sushi an hibachi choices. I stuck with sushi. The miso soup average, it all tastes the same no matter where I go but I still love it. I had a roll called the tuna sandwich which was spicy tuna and avocado but the cool thing was they formed and cut it like little sandwich triangles. The beef negimaki appetizer sure looked good. Beef seared and wrapped around seared scallions. But was flavorless actually and not real exciting. Then we finished with the fancy tartar appetizer which was spicy tuna with shredded lobster an avocado on top in a little round shaped thing. That was good. Overall I thought it was good sushi and I'd go back again.

Between 4 and 4.5 - it's too close to call. This review is based on the "Sushi / Table Service" side of the restaurant. I'll update if we go back for Hibachi.
Read the Yelp reviews, and have to say, was VERY pleased. One thing I have to give extra credit for, is their ability to plate food. The elegance with which everything was presented rivaled anything I've seen on Food Network (maybe with the exception of Morimoto, who is just impossible to top). The plating matched the decor, which was modern, yet somehow Zen. Comfortable chairs and nice tables - though perhaps spaced a bit closer together than they should be.
We started with "Fancy Tartar" on the assumption that they were going for "Tartare" :) The portion size was HUGE. From the top down - crab salad (flavorful, and almost as tasty as Kohaku's), avocado, lobster salad, and then an inch-high circle of tuna. Well worth the $13 price tag.
Salads where much bigger than expected. The Avocado salad was generous, and the Salmon Skin salad was just fantastic - I could just sit down and eat bowl after bowl of that stuff - YUM!
Regular sushi rolls are nicely made. They did NOT fall apart and had a good ratio of fish to rice. Quality of the fish was very good, and spicy tuna was NOT 70% mayonnaise - very delicious.
We chose two special rolls - the "Amazing" and the "Anger". My wife favored the Anger while I preferred Amazing, though both were excellent.
We saw other food coming out that looked wonderful, and the couple seated next to us were only too happy to confirm that their food was, in fact, delicious.
Don't let the location, or exterior fool you - this place could easily stand up in Manhattan, or any major city.
