I have brought several vehicles to Toyota of Portland for 20+ years. The service department has been great. Always helpful
and kind.
I recently bought a new vehicle and Alicia Kuzmenko in sales went above and beyond to make the sale happen in a way where I was really happy about the outcome. There was a lot to learn about the vehicle & she took time to show me all the details on how to set up my car. She was enthusiastic and helpful & I'm grateful to continue my relationship with this Toyota dealer where there are lots of good people working. Thanks again. - DamiHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - P L.Yuba City, United States01119May 6, 2024
First off, I'd like to thank Andre for all of his help and support he has provided us. I appreciate all of your help.
Secondly, I was already approved by my bank for a loan. I appreciate that Josh was willing to find us a better rate; however, he was not transparent in regards to having a loan application submitted without my consent. I received a letter of denial today and was not aware a loan application was submitted on my behalf. I specifically told Josh I'd like for him to use the credit score that was pulled the day prior, yet he went ahead and pulled another credit report! I have asked for a better rate and never asked for him to submit a loan application on my behalf!
JOSH, FOR FUTURE REFERENCES, DO NOT PULL ANY CREDIT REPORTS OR APPLY FOR ANY LOAN FOR OTHERS WITHOUT THE THEIR CONSENT! YOU KNOW YOU ARE IN THE WRONG THAT IS WHY YOU ARE AVOIDING MY CALLS! PLEASE DO BETTER AND WORK ON YOUR PROFESSIONALISM. IF THAT IS NOT SOMETHING YOU KNOW HOW TO DO, I ADVISE TAKING A PROFESSIONALISM COURSE OR TRAINING AS YOU SURE NEED IT!
Andre is a sales person who is very responsive and respectful and is more deserving of the manager title.
We did not make any purchases with Toyota of Portland and will not be returning for any businesses.
I hope Josh sees this message. If not, whoever that is reading this that is affiliated with Toyota of Portland, please send this over to him. Training is crucial for him. He has poor customer service and unprofessional.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brady T.Portland, United States3096May 9, 2024
Was told by a sales person I can't get the price that the estimate on the site shows and that I need to lower my expectations and even he can't get that price.... Riiiiiiiiight. But!!!! If I come down to the dealership he can get me one. Typical sleazy salesman.

Didn't rotate tires multiple times.
My wife and I went to Broadway Toyota for service for years for both of our vehicles. Recently we noticed that one of the tires on her car was wearing down more than the others so we marked the tires on both vehicles before service to see if they were actually rotated. On the next appointments, neither of them were. If you decide to go here, mark your tires and check.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Hern D.Northeast Portland, Portland, United States0232Nov 1, 2023
Do not recommend their Service Department.
I used to come here for routine service. One time while I was getting an oil change, I received a text message telling me I had an oil leak and it would require over $2,000 worth of work and to reply "Yes" to approve it. I found this incredibly weird, as I would expect a place like this to discuss this in person. I declined their service and decided to take it to another mechanic to get a second opinion. They examined the location that Broadway Toyota said was leaking and said there was no leak that they saw. They even provided photos showing everything was fine.
I bought a new Toyota from Gladstone last year and it came with some complimentary oil changes, so I decided to bring it by Broadway because they were closest to my home. Again, while my oil was being changed I received another text saying that my cabin air filter needed changing. I found this incredibly odd because I just changed the cabin air filter myself the month before. I confronted the person helping me and he nervously just said "I wasn't the one that looked at your car".
This place is dishonest and I would never recommend anyone go here. Hate to think of how many unsuspecting people they take advantage of. Needless to say, after my complimentary oil changes are up I will not be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jodi Z.Portland, United States1722Oct 30, 2023
I called this dealership to get an estimate on my car that was just hit. I told them I had body damage and maybe damage underneath like the tie rod. They said they had availability. I had it towed there. It took them over a week to look at it. They said Theresa's no damage underneath, but they don't do body work there, so I have to take it somewhere else. What? I asked them for an estimate to fix my car, and he thought I was only talking about the suspension? I told them I had body damage, and they said nothing about the fact that they don't do that. Now I have to find another body shop and they're all booking way out, some as far as February. He said he misunderstood me. Why in the world would I take it to some place for 1/2 an estimate?
When I 1st talked to the gut, I told them that their yelp reviews were bad. He said he'd make sure that I had a good experience. He failed miserably.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julie N.Oakbrook, Vancouver, United States271Oct 24, 2023
I don't normally write reviews, but this was a special circumstance that compelled me to share my experience. I've been a loyal customer of Toyota of Portland's service department for years, but I must admit that I'm disappointed with the declining quality of their service over the past 4-5 years.
In the past few months alone, I've had to bring my car in for 2 separate diagnostics and a condenser replacement, costing me about a total of $1,500. Despite these costly repairs, my car is still experiencing AC problems, and I find myself back at the service center once again. This time, they're claiming there's another leak that needs attention, which will undoubtedly come with a hefty price tag.
What truly frustrated me was my interaction with Ryan, one of their managers. He spoke to me as if I were uninformed and incapable of understanding my own situation. Instead of offering support and assistance, I felt like my concerns fell on deaf ears. This added to my already disappointing experience.
There are two stars in this review because, while there have been unfortunate encounters with unhelpful staff, a couple gentlemen that were kind and honest throughout this situation, which provided a ray of hope in an otherwise disappointing experience.
It's disheartening to see the service quality deteriorate over the years. I used to trust Toyota of Portland for their expertise and reliable repairs, but recent experiences have left me questioning their competence and integrity. I hope they can take steps to improve their diagnostic processes and ensure that they thoroughly address issues the first time around. It's frustrating to invest time and money into repairs only to encounter recurring problems.
Once the AC issue is fully resolved, and I no longer have to continue going back to the service here, I want to emphasize that I will be taking my service elsewhere.
If you're considering service at Toyota of Portland, I'd advise caution and suggest seeking second opinions when faced with costly repairs. The convenience of their location should not come at the expense of quality service and customer satisfaction.
UPDATE: I recently brought my car in for the 3rd diagnostic and I was informed that the problem lies with the evaporator. It was said that the evaporator has been dislocated, and a possibility of a leak. The proposed solution involves removing the dashboard for a closer inspection. If a leak is confirmed, they would need to order a new evaporator, bringing the total cost to about $3,000.
I'm having a hard time going ahead with such a high price for the repair. I will be seeking a second opinion to ensure that the recommended repair aligns accordingly with the identified problem.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 3, 2023
The place I normally take my car was booked out three weeks in the summertime so I went here to get a new 12v battery. Of course when they confirmed it was a dead battery and were proceeding with the agreed upon work they also called with $1600+ additional recommendations. Delivery of info was literally we recommend this and it'll be an additional $xx. Does that sales tactic work? Seriously, asking for a friend. I declined all as I wanted to see the list since I'm a visual person and to research what's reasonable and not. I'm not one to agree on thousands of dollars of services on a whim and given my car was driving just fine besides needing a jumpstart.
The list of what was quoted and cost:
License plate light $35
Interior cabin filter dirty $60
Engine air filter dirty $40
Drive belt worn/glazed $220
Brake fluid exchange $209
Transmission fluid service $300
Hybrid battery fan/ventilation cleaning $280
Engine coolant service $250
Hybrid inverter coolant service $250
Y'all can YouTube the changing of the engine and air filter and do it yourself. Seriously. Each task is less than 5 mins and I paid $12.99 for each filter online. And when I shared this list with my mechanic he explained that some of these charges weren't necessary.
I drove not 225 miles before the red triangle of death light came on. Now suddenly I'm getting VMs all day and the one VM I left didn't call back. The person I first spoke to forwarded me to someone who wasn't even scheduled to work and then on my subsequent calls to try and speak to someone the woman forward me to people and it went to VM.
I finally was put in touch with a manager who facilitated diagnosing the other problem with my car which was the air coolant pump. He was an effective communicator and the work was completed and from this point it was a positive exp. I did find it amusing that after I had picked up my car and received the paperwork, there was a recommendation listed that one of the filters appeared dirty that I'm glad the rep didn't try to sell me on when he called me for verbal approval of replacing the pump as I'd just changed it myself within the last week.
Not the most trustworthy place and like other specialty fields overselling. Do your research.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We had a GREAT experience working with Alicia at Toyota of Portland! She was knowledgeable in helping us get the car that we really wanted and patient as we made our decision. I would recommend this dealership - and ask for Alicia for a great no pressure guide in the complicated world of car buying!
I LOVE MY NEW RAV4 PRIME!!!!! (as you can clearly see ...)
Edited to add: Erin in service was also awesome, and indirectly part of what gave me the confidence that is was the car! Props to her as well.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
