My hair is completely ruined from going here, I would not recommended it at all. I went in for a trim and got some botched choppy horrible set of layers. I had hair nearly down to my butt and Tony cut off over 6 inches when i only wanted 3. My hair is so choppy and uneven. Do NOT go here. They also charged me 200$ for a horrible hair cut. NEVER going back. Run far away from this place. It's unfortunate to write this because the staff and environment was so pleasant and took my jacket and provided me with coffee but none of that matters if i leave with a bad haircut that's going to take over a year or more to grow out. REFERENCE pic of before what my hair looked like before it was ruined by tony. NOTE that Tony told me he would not be taking off any length however continued to cut off nearly 6 inches of my hair without consent.

I've sat for the last almost 24 hours trying to determine if it was even worth writing a review but feedback is the best gift in the service industry so here we are...

My family and I just moved here. I have a pixie that I'm growing out and had a bit of anxiety about finding a new stylist. I've seen the same stylist for over 6 years... it's a relationship, a commitment and not simple to find a new person. After reading countless reviews of salons in the area, I landed on Tony Shamas. They seemed to be multicultural with good reviews and that was a BIG tick in the pro column for my 4a type hair (naturally curly/wavy but thick with fine strands). When I made the appointment in the online service I clearly put my hair type, that I prefer dry cuts and that I was growing out a pixie.

When I got there, I was seated promptly and my stylist, Clarissa, introduced herself. I explained the dry cut, she said she wasn't used to them but that she could do it. She asked Tony over to get his thoughts and proceeded cutting. To get to the point, it's not a good cut. About 1/2 way through she asked Tony to come over and fix it. Which is also when the receptionist rushed over and said he JUST saw my note and next time he'll put me with someone else. Tony did try to fix it but now it's too short everywhere and I'll have to go somewhere else to just go back to a pixie. It's disappointing; I've spent the last year growing my hair out... every precious inch makes a difference. And even in fixing the cut, the sides around my ears are too short, it's uneven is odd places, I can go on.

The worst part to me came in the comments made by the salon workers and the fact that they charged me full price. Microaggressions were abound. Asking if I had a relaxer (because Tony couldn't believe how straight I got my hair without a blow dryer), Clarissa nodding in understanding when I mentioned my naturally curly hair and comments about the possible kink when it gets wet (again, I have fine 4a type hair). I'm sure they do great color work and a fine job with very specific hair types, but I would caution against showing up with short hair- I will not go back.

I'll give them 100 stars if I could. Absolutely loved my experience here. Went to get a balayage, and Sumi did a wonderful job!Had such a fantastic 2.5 hours there. Every couple of minutes someone will be checking if there's anything you need.. I was offered coffee, latte, protein bar(?), and even wine! I stuck with water - but the gesture was oh-so-amazing!

Have I mentioned the beautiful space (and the washing station)? Spa-like ambience! I also had the olaplex treatment, and I even got a little head massage which was wonderful

Very friendly staff, and I truly enjoyed the chats with the owners! Will definitely be coming back!

Went in for a wash, cut and blowout with Amber. I arrived at my appointment 15 mins late but Amber still took more than enough time with my hair. I didn't feel rushed at all.

After telling my hair that I came in to cut my damaged ends and how unmanageable my hair has become after dying it we did the Pro Fiber treatment, which smelt amazing! I felt that it made my hair much softer and with the cut my hair looked much thicker, felt softer and just overall way more healthy. I ended up buying the take home supplemental Pro Fiber treatment which has 6 recharges and full size shampoos and conditioners for an extra $40.

My blow dry was better than I had experienced in other salons. My hair is long and curly so it's harder to deal with but Amber listened to how I usually style my hair and previous blow out experiences and adjusted her cut and blow out accordingly.

Overall everyone at the salon is super nice and accommodating (they brought me a green tea and iPhone charger.) Also the layout of the place is really cool, not like any other salon. Highly recommend!

Have been seeing Tina here for a couple years for haircuts and dye jobs and she does a fantastic job every single time.

It is very simple making appointments via their website and I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for service. The salon is very clean and decorated with chic decor. Paired with the relaxing music they play and the fashion shows running on the TVs, it results in a very elegant and calming ambience. I am usually asked by the staff if I would like a drink or snack multiple times throughout my visits.

Tina always asks what I want or what my hair concerns are and works around that. She is very friendly and a great conversationalist, but also knows when to let the conversation die down and doesn't force it to continue. You can tell by the way she works that she is very good at what she does and is very efficient.

All in all, after struggling to find a salon I was fully satisfied with and can stay loyal to, I am very happy to have found Tony Shama's and plan to continue coming here. You definitely get what you pay for.

I am very happy about finding Tony Shamas Hair & Laswer. Their staff is funny, kind, and attentive. They make us feel comfortable. I was very nervous about coming to this new shop, but I got relieved because everybody there was very nice. Even other customers were nice. I went there for laser hair removal and I really liked the place. On the next day, I came back there for my haircut. Both experiences are so good! Ivan is very nice. I inquired about the hair removal by email before I went the shop. Ivan responded me right away. When I went to my hair cut, he gave me a nice glass of lemon water. I look forward to going there in the next month.

I have never felt so disrespected by a hair salon.

After going into the salon for a routine toner, I was more than unhappy with the results. I'm usually extremely easy going with my hair, but the toner left my ends extremely ashy and roots not even close to my ends. To add to the dissatisfaction, I got the service done for my birthday and it was nowhere near what was expected or asked for.

So I called to express my concern and they asked me to come back in the next day (and made it seem as if they would fix it and ensure I was satisfied, as a good salon would do).

So the next day I come in, and am sat down by the owner and for the next 30 minutes am berated about how it is fine, I should be happy and I am "wasting their time and my time." He said the only thing we could do is make my hair golden again, which would be redundant as that is why I originally came in for the toner, to get it ashy (but a consistent ash colour across my entire head rather than what looked like the botched dye job I received).

He consistently kept talking over the young female stylist who was trying to help me and suggest options (wouldn't listen to her and was extremely rude to her), and then he finally said we were going to fix it and then brought me to a corner of the salon, told the stylist to go away and proceeded to lecture me about my hair.

Now, I have been getting my hair done for years and know that what was done to my hair, was not right, nor what I asked for. I was just looking for a simple solution, rather than a lecture, so needless to say I left the salon, crying, upset, and will never return.

(To add to this, went down the road to another salon after this incident to ensure that I was seeing my hair correct, and the salon I visited stated numerous solutions, agreed with me and were extremely nice. They understood that what I was given was not what I asked for and were shocked at the lack of compassion given from Tony Shamas)

Wow! Clarissa is amazing. I've been working from home for months and suddenly realized my hair was a mess! Where did all those grey hairs come from and my highlights were very grown out.
I had a wonderful appointment with Clarissa. She listened to what I wanted and that's exactly what she did.
Went back to my natural brown only it's 100% better. Super shiny and soft. Wanted a shorter cut- and it's the perfect length right at my shoulders.
The salon is super clean and everyone is so friendly.

I was really bored with my long hair look. I wanted to do something different and something fun. I had an idea of what kind of look I wanted. My appointment was with Tina. I gave her a rough idea of the kind of look I had in mind. She gave me balayage brown highlights and then cut my hair to the desired length. She then styled it really nicely. It took almost 2 hours for the entire process. Tina is really friendly so it didn't even feel I was there for that long. I like the fact that she really understood what I wanted and then did an amazing job with my hair. There was not one thing she did wrong. I walked out really happy. Definitely recommend this place! And Tina would be my hair girl after this.

This was an amazing experience! Upon arrival, they put me in a robe and brought me a drink (I asked for cucumber water, but they'll bring you almost anything). They had iPads at each station for you to browse on, and their shampooing room was basically a spa.

My stylist, Sumi, couldn't be lovelier. Am really happy with my colour and cut!

I'll be back.
