He currently has a truck listed as nice and clean but was actually deemed a total write off from a insurance company. no mention of that in his advertisement

I had a very similar experience as the other user that posted a review. Was visible damage on the front bumper. Asked what happened and they said they needed to replace the bumper. Asked if it was in an accident they said No!. Was told the bumper would be fixed upon purchase, it wasn't. Battery needed to be replaced within 2 weeks of purchase. After reviewing the carfax it turned out the car had been in an accident and was a complete rebuild.
We agreed on a price, when I brought my cheque back he told me that it was for the wrong amount and I still owed $500. I said that's not what we agreed, he said "yeah I made a mistake" and then proceeded to charge me the extra $500.(like really, you can't honour the price you said?)
Check out 'That car place' right down the road instead of this trailer. (Trailer should be the first sign it's a shady place)
Anyways I guess it was my fault I didn't do my due diligence, but I just want to give others a heads up. Make sure to see the vehicle history before going any further!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - P W.London, ON04Aug 27, 2013First to Review
Went to look at a civic there recently because the car seemed very decently priced with low kilometres. A youngish boy came out and my husband asked him why there was broken glass in the car. He said that they had to replace a door and a side mirror on the car. We asked if the car had been in an accident and he said "no", they just replaced the door. So I asked him again what had been replaced and then i asked why. He said the door had been damaged. I said 'so the car has been in an accident'. And he finally said yes. I asked him if he had an accident report. His answer was that there was one in the office but he didn't offer to show it to me. After this exchange, we decided this was not a reputable place to do business and so we left. It reminded me of an automobile report I had just read on Toronto used car dealers and how so many of the cars they sell have been in accidents and the dealerships do their best not to disclose this.
