I LOVE that they are steadily expanding their vegan options! Tilly's Cheesesteaks has been on my list for years after I saw them featured on Phantom Gourmet. But sadly I never made it out to West Kingston before I completely cut meat, dairy, and eggs out of my diet. Now I am pleased to say that they offer a variety of vegan options included Impossible meat and vegan queso!

I actually ordered at the Providence location inside the new Bath Food Co. I'm not sure if it's just a pop-up because I can't find it anywhere on Yelp? The prices are a bit higher and the menu is a bit more limited that the West Kingston location. The other main difference is that in West Kingston the sandwiches come with tortilla chips and you have to upgrade to fries, vs. in Providence all the sandwiches come with curly fries.

The vegan Tilly's Philly with Impossible meat, queso, caramelized onions, and vegan American cheese was absolutely heavenly. What a treat to be able to enjoy a decadent cheesesteak, 100% vegan! Truly never thought I would see the day. The hoagie roll, fresh from Wayland Bakery, is able to stand up to the huge pile of fillings. I'm pretty sure the curly fries are just from the freezer but hey, they were really tasty too!

The price ($17 before tax and tip) is a bit expensive. While the portion is massive, cheesesteaks don't taste great reheated so it's not like you can really save it for two meals. I would either find someone to split it with or come really hungry!

Overall, I highly recommend Tilly's for comfort food made with love. The only thing stopping me from coming back constantly is the price (well and my health I suppose...)!

Great cheesesteak!!!! I got a Tilly's Philly ($12.96 w/ tax) which is basically their regular cheesesteak. The meat was juicy with lots of flavor and their cheese sauce is bomb. They also grill the bread to perfection. Stuffed well with steak and it's a good size.

What caught me by surprise was their homemade tortilla chips. They were so good and they had some chipotle spice rub on them.

      Definitely recommend!

Although I live in Rhode Island, as any Rhode Islander knows we don't always stretch our legs to visit parts of the state that aren't in our immediate radius. I had heard a lot of great feedback about Tilly's and started following them on social media. I was simply DYING to finally try it recently.

I headed down with a friend recently, super excited for cheesesteaks. Their website hadn't made it clear that at the moment they are only accepting online orders so when we got there we had to stand outside and place orders on our phones instead of in person. No big deal, but I wish it was a bit more clear on their website that this was the case so we could have ordered before driving down. Oh well.

I ordered the Tilly's cheesesteak with chili cheese fries. The process of ordering and having the food brought to my car was very efficient. Even though by the time we drove the food to my friend's house it had gotten a bit cold, both the cheesesteak and fries were still REALLY delicious. Their fabulousness apparently isn't temperature dependent :)

The hoagie roll was soft and squishy, just perfect, the steak was juicy and tender, and the cheese was MMMMMMMM. I hadn't had a cheesesteak in years, maybe even since the last time I visited Philly, so I am very happy to report that these are excellent, the real deal. I will happily plan future excursions down to South Kingston again for these fabulous eats. I'm also pleased they are opening a location in Providence so that is much closer to where I live. I'll have to check that out too!

      Online ordering only; curbside pickup.

Good news is a large parking lot behind and picnic tables.

Our first visit and we were very impressed. Being "born and raised" in Pa. - I do know my cheesesteaks. They were great!

Did the Tilly cheesesteak - not the custom - on a hoagie bun. Tasty and filling. Might add sauteed onions on next visit.

Split the fries with bacon (latter was superb). Would add cheese next time.

Deviled eggs were swell and the milkshakes were genuine.

Give them a try - you will be a happy diner.

      Delicious Cheesesteaks and hospitable service

You could easily miss the place cruising out of southern RI, but don't you dare. These guys really care about quality and you get that with every order. I could inhale all their sandwiches...the apps are fab especially the fried green tomatoes (something rarely seen in these parts)...plus great blues music while you feast...clean, fast and delicious...who could ask for more...check out the locals...they love this place...sure sign of quality.

Tip: Get your cheesesteak wit the cheese whiz. We tried this and one with cheese slices too but the whiz cheese here is really good. Makes a difference.

I had been wanting to try this place for 2 years. The wait is over. Overall, very disappointed with this meal. They have a very confusing online menu. You can't eat inside or even order at a window. Picnic tables out back were not wiped down and had food from previous customers on it. The cheesesteak did not have much flavor. I was expecting some real cheese flavor. And raw green peppers, really? Anyone who has ever been to Dangelos know you sautee the peppers on the grill with the steak.
And then the finale, the "root beer float " This was just plain embarrassing. The picture is worth 1000 words. I will not be back.

This is supposed to be a $5 root beer float. Ridiculous.
Raw green peppers? Really. No taste to this sandwich. Disappointing.

I've had my eye on Tilly's for a while now. What better time to support than during a time when businesses need it the most?

Takeout was straightforward. I ordered online in the morning for pick up in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you call the number provided and they bring it to your car.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I've never had a proper cheesesteak in my life. Now I believe this will have to be a regular visit because this food was incredible. The streak was tender and had no chewiness, which I was worried about. Nope. This is all melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Do yourself a favor and add cheddar queso with spicy mayo. You won't regret it.

As a bonus, the waffle fries, shoestring fries, and chicken tenders were fantastic as well.

What are you waiting for?! Hop online and order!

Had I known Tilly's was going to be this good, Jesse and I would have been here a lot sooner! The food was so delicious, as was their special spiked Mint Chocolate Shake! Oh wow was it good!!!! :) Wish I was sipping on that as I type this now!! lol

The Tillys Philly Cheesesteak was SO damn good! Basically their version of a classic cheesesteak, with prime angus hand shaved beef, house cheddar sauce and caramelized onions! I added mushrooms too! The full size was huge and full of meat! I took a good 1/3 of it home with me! (It tasted just as good hours later) It was served with spicy pickles & "Tortilly" chips. Both really good!! The meat was shaved so fine and it was sooo tender. It legit could melt in your mouth!

We of course had to try the fried pickles too and let me just say they were awesome! We will absolutely be spending many lunch dates here now! Yay for Tilly's!

I have never been a shaved steak sandwich fan most of my life. I often think of chewy meat that would be inedible if it were not shaved so thin on an equally chewy piece of bread. I was not looking forward to having that for my main meal. Thankfully, Tilly's changed my mind on how good a steak sandwich can be!

To make it easy we both tried the Tilly Philly, and added some mushrooms since I am a fun guy... I went with the French fries on my order as well as an order of fried pickles and a mocha shake to drink.

We managed to grab the last available seat and were able to enjoy the decor while we waited for our food. The shakes came out first and were absolutely delicious! As good as any ice cream shop could ever dream of! Next came the main event, a sandwich heaped with shaved meat and melted cheese with a side of fries, spicy pickles, and our side of fried pickles as well.

The fried pickles were done perfectly. You could taste the delicious pickle, not breading or grease. The fries were amazing as well, but so were the tortilly chips that my wife got. I even loved the spicy pickles (but I am a fan of heat).

So what about this sandwich? It could not have been further from what I was previously dreading when I came in! The bread was so soft and tasty, the meat was unbelievably tender, like butter, and the cheese just made a good thing even better! I could easily say that Tilly's has the only Philly that I have ever truly enjoyed, and honestly cannot wait until my next trip back!
