This mall is a ghost town. Most of the units are vacant or closed, with the only signs of life being some medical units and a coffee shop.
It's a pity really because the interior is quite nice despite the drab exterior. There's (real) trees, neo-classical balustrades & pillars, colourful tile paintings & marble(sque?) surfaces.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Randy K.Newmarket, ON88278980May 9, 2018First to Review
I've made several trips to the tannery over the years. I've lived here long enough that I remember what it was like before it was fixed up and revitalized as a luxury shopping mall.
These days too have passed and the tannery seems to be more a building that supports government offices, the traffic court, and Medical services while being spattered with various smaller business and a church.
A lot of beautiful work was done to the tannery years ago. Marble, a waterfall, and lots of artistic tweaks.
Many of us don't find reasons to go there frequently, but it is a very pretty pace.
Parking can be tricky at times, but I've always shot a spot.
I'm there frequently now for cardio rehab. They use the main floor as a track for building up the muscles and heart for people.
If you haven't been, it's worth a trip just to see that it looks like inside. ;)Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0
