My new GO-TO bike shop! It's volunteer based and the staff is so so awesome and knowledgeable :) It's chock full of every part you can think of and so many tools!
Brought in my super old bike because I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the rear tire, which was also flat. Learned SO much about my bike, got maybe 3-4 different things fixed too. Shoutout to Reed, and I wish I got everyone else's names because they are all amazing!Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Timothy S.Kirkland, United States01Mar 29, 2023
I've always appreciated the Bikery's committed staff, and the support for working on my own bike.

This place is so great! They have all the tools you need and the volunteer mechanics were super helpful. They thought me how to take my entire bike apart and put it back together. I now know how every single part of my bicycle works and how to fix it. Thanks so much!

An amazing place to go if you want to learn how to fix your bike, get great deals on used parts, or even build a bike from scratch. This is a shining star in Seattle's biking community that really democratizes bicycling. I built a bike with their help, and rode out the door on a really nice road bike, only $33 poorer (plus I donated $15 to help them further their mission).

The Bikery is brilliant! I purchased a used bike off Craigslist and knew it needed a bit of love. I brought it to my local bike shop where they told me it would be $180 for a tuneup and suggested that I'd need to replace a ton of parts. When I got to the Bikery Aaron helped me figure out what actually needed to be repaired (turns out I didn't need any of the things the bike shop had pressured me to buy) and then walked me through how to fix it. My bike now rides like a breeze and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The Bikery is exactly what I was looking for and I'd recommend them to everyone.

The Bikery is an amazing community resource. They are not a normal bike shop. They work as a coop, and encourage people to learn how to work on their own bike. You can purchase bikes built by volunteers for very little. You can also donate your time by becoming a volunteer. There is no heirarchy in this bike shop, so it is a very nice place to start hanging out at. It is a great service and hopefully they can continue bringing Seattle more educated bikers for years to come.

You have to realize that The BIkery is not a normal bike shop or you will probably be very disappointed. They don't have a lot of tools or bikes for sale, but they have the essentials. The real deal here is the volunteering and the self-repair: volunteers earn credit they can use in the shop on bikes, parts, accessories. The best is shop time: put in a few hours of volunteering and you can use their shop and their tools to work on your own bike!

The best place to learn about your bike. Evan is eager to teach and he's good. Highly recommend! I'm glad that I found this place just 2 mins from my house.

They helped me fix my bike. It took less than 10 minutes so they didn't want to charge me. I gave them money anyway. When I went there was a crusty punk guy, a middle-aged woman and a school-age boy. One thing in common: a love and knowledge of bikes and a desire to help others. Really, really cool.
