Téo Taxi

I love it when businesses do their best to be as green as possible so naturally I got excited when I learned about Teo Taxi, which operates only electric cars. They even have a few Teslas in their fleet which you can specially request if you really want to ride in one.

Teo works exactly like Uber. You hail a car from the app and everything is charged directly to your credit card. The prices are comparable to taking a classic taxi but the experience is much better. The taxi generally comes quickly and I have found that the drivers are very courteous. One time when I was taking them from the airport the driver offered me complimentary water and even adjusted the music to my tastes. On board you have a tablet to fidget with while you enjoy your ride.

Teo is a fantastic local business and I hope that it does really well. I love the fact that they offer customers an environmentally friendly option and they really care about providing the best experience possible. I'll be taking them from now on when I need a taxi.

Teo Taxi makes me feel so exclusive/important. Every time I've taken one the service has been perfect, the wait time minimal, and the cleanliness of the cab excellent.

I love that once the driver gets close, your phone tells you to raise it and tilt it to the side so the driver can recognize you. I love the little screen inside the car that displays your name, your journey, the news, and charges your phone!
Also the fact that now they say "Bonjour" on the side is so cute!

You decide on the app which vehicle you would like, how much you would like to tip, and where you are located/going. Very user friendly and to the point.

It is on the pricier side though (compared to Uber) which is why I can't take it as much as I would like to. But it always feels special when I order one :)

Finally a taxi service that can compete with Uber, It's just as good or maybe better experience, regarding the good service, phone app and price. It is absolutely worth a try.
The taxi comes with wifi connection and a tablet screen for you, also very clean.

I guess this would be a posh version of Lyft or Uber in the States. Download the app onto your phone, order a car, and the rest is easy. They ask for a credit card number and the ride is automatically charged to your card. If you're curious about your driver, a picture and some information appears on the app and you can check him/her out. The passenger is able to determine how much you want to tip the driver (10%, 15%, 20% and I think there is an 'other' option), and you select this on the app. My friend and I got picked up in a fancy white Tesla at Henri-Julien and Beaubien going to YUL. The total was $42 CAD, which included a 15% tip. Very easy app to use and I'll definitely use this service next time I'm in for a visit.

The app doesn't always work accurately and slightly longer rides end up too expensive

I love it when tech companies make continuous efforts to improve the user experience, and Téo has done exactly that since my first ride in June. There is now Wi-Fi, a headrest-mounted tablet, and a charging port on vehicles which is like wow, thank you for being so considerate. I also had the chance of getting a Tesla once and I appreciated the water bottles and fine chocolate, complimentary of the ride. So I hope you enjoyed reading this review half as much as I enjoyed the ride, because I had a ball.

This company is the best! Not only was the taxi service itself an on time and enjoyable experience, they go the extra mile. I stupidly left my phone in the taxi, only realizing what I'd done after getting back to the apartment. I called it every few minutes until the driver Victor answered. He brought it to me an hour or so later. Now that's service! Thank you, Victor, and thank you Téo Taxi!!! You're our top choice for getting around beautiful Montréal!

This company makes me smile. Not only do they bring an unprecedented environmentally friendly all electric cab fleet to Montreal, but they do it with style and are very customer service minded. They have a great Uber-like app for hailing a car and you get to ride in a Tesla X or Tesla 100 for your ride to and from the airport. Now that is a stylish ride. Response times are quick as well. I can't think of a single reason not to use this company for all my transportation when I'm in Montreal - and I always do.
