Dreaming of syrup. began in South Africa in August 2011 and the doors opened in September 2012. It started with a small group of friends who had big dreams and a belief that simple things can make a big impact. While in South Africa, cooking evening meals, "Breakfast for Dinner" became a common theme. As lovers of all things breakfast, it made perfect sense to combine the foods we loved with the causes that stirred our hearts.

Q:
What is the bumble bee drink?
A:
The menu says "This is an in house cold drink that mixes coffee, some honey, and a little magical dust. If you haven't had it and you like iced coffee, this will become your favorite drink. It is for sure a crowd favorite."

My wife and I were looking for a good non chain breakfast. It is nice they have the Waitlist feature. We got there and still waited about 30 minutes which was expected for a Sunday morning. The have open seating at the bar and a community table which is neat. Parking is limited by the way.
The staff and service were excellent. The menu has some variety and the food is great. You can get all kinds of fancy coffees. Prices are reasonable. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shane T.Fayetteville, United States2523Mar 25, 2024
If you told me any of our food was cooked fresh I would be shocked. My honey chicken sandwich was definitely not fresh. The biscuit was hard and soft at the same time. You could bend the biscuit in half and it would return to its shape. Good biscuits don't do that. Biscuit legit made the roof of my mouth sore from biting and tearing.
The two chicken tenders my sandwich came with was uniform in shape. Definitely came from a factory cut and frozen. The potatoes were fine but very uniform, so probably from frozen stock too.
The bacon was generic, flavorless, and had to come from frozen stock. It looked and tasted like bacon from a hotel breakfast bar. $5 for three pieces was absurd. My daughter didn't even finish her bacon.
Spouse said her eggs were extremely bland. The only one of us that like our meal was my son who had very bland taste. He enjoyed his bland waffles. The hot chocolate was pretty. Soda machine was broken.
All in all, skip this place and heat up your own frozen breakfast.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lauren K.Tuscaloosa, United States1572Jan 31, 2024

Traveling from out of town, I got excited about this spot after seeing it on TikTok, so I had to check it out! It took a little bit for the staff to attend us when we sat since they were swamped, which is totally fine. But man, when the food arrived, it looked delicious but sadly didn't taste great at all. Such a letdown, especially with all the positive buzz it's gotten. I usually finish everything on my plate, but not this time lol! The place was alright, I guess. If I end up in Oklahoma again, maybe I'll try it once more and hope it's better than today's visit.

Cute breakfast place real close to the Asian district! The place itself was kinda cute, simple but modern. We went on a Saturday for brunch, where the wait was insanely long, so just be prepared for a wait if you are here on a weekend.
Coffee was delicious. Hubby had a sesonal drink, I think, called the Sinatra, which had white and dark chocolate in it. I had a cappuccino with honey, and while they made it a little too sweet the first time round, they straightened it out and it was perfect after the second attempt.
The food however, is a little on the disappointing end. The waffle just felt like a regular waffle, and the fried chicken was just alright too, little on the dry side. The skillet scramble while a good combination of things, was way too greasy to enjoy. Everything was sitting in a pile of grease, so it was a little hard to eat. I did love the eggs though, but that was about it.
I'd give at least the coffee a try if you're around the area. Ending on a positive note, the service was great, very friendly staff who were eager to help and were very sweet.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 54792Dec 1, 2023
Came here for brunch a few weeks ago. It's a cozy place with parking surrounding the building. We came during a non-busy time and had no issue finding parking. However, you could tell that it might have been difficult to find a spot if the place had been very busy.
This place does not serve alcohol so just be aware in case you wanted to do brunch drinks.
The food and drinks were delicious. We got the Salted Caramel Latte and the Iced Chai. The food was so good I started eating it right away and forgot to take a picture lol.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 11752108Sep 9, 2023
Syrup is nice restaurant for breakfast but make sure you add your name to the wait list if you're going on the weekend.
Pancakes that don't need syrup, crispy potatoes and yummy bacon. The chicken for the waffles lacked seasoning.
A great environment to dine with friends and family or if you want to eat by yourself.

I've o my been here twice but so far every time i come it's always amazing!! the food is always hot, there's never really a wait and if there is it's less than 20 mins long. the servers are always doing the right thing and makes sure everything is perfect. and it's a small place. the only con is that it has a small parking lot.. on mother's day there was no parking but luckily after being there for about 5 mins a family left.

Food was just mediocre, long wait despite joining waitlist, prices on menu was lower than what was on the bill. Waffle was just limp. Long waits for coffee refills. Kids meal was very small. Side of bacon was 3 thin pieces for $5. Overall just not worth the prices and long waits.
