A frequenter of uptown waterloo venues I've somehow never managed to go here - until last night. I see now why.
The decor is okay - a bit dark and kind of a ski village vibe. Patrons were a mix of students and 30+ year olds. There a couple large groups.
Service: our waitress wasn't great, as soon as we sat down she wanted to know if we knew what we wanted to drink and eat- she had JUST handed us the menu. Um no we do not, but thanks. She also told us once we did order that it would be quick (we only ordered apps). However it took nearly an HOUR for our wings and shrimp tacos to arrive.
Food & Drink: mediocre. My cocktail was way too juice centric, could not taste the alcohol. Shrimp tacos were okay but too much aioli and tortillas were soggy. Wings were under fried for our liking.
I probably won't rush to come back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mark F.Cambridge, ON19Mar 25, 2018
Great food and good service!
My daughter and I went here after our disappointment at The Symposium down the street.
I had the Perri Burger, which was amazing, with the home cut fries. My daughter had the pulled pork burger which was also very good.
The downside was that we came in right after a large group and had to wait a while for our food. The owner apologized for the delay and was kind enough to reduce our bill to make up for the wait, a very nice surprise to be sure.
Certainly worth checking out, I'll be back for sure.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Midori N.Waterloo, ON02214Mar 16, 2018
This place is spacious and is great for big groups.
The food I got was pretty bad though. I got the only vegan item on the menu, which was a ratatouille. It was watery and didn't taste like much. Others who were with me seemed to think that the burgers and poutine they got were a-ok.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eric D.Kitchener, ON654Oct 1, 2016Updated review
I am shocked by my sexist experience at your establishment. It started by asking the door security that we are waiting for one person. He said that if someone waits out front they can come in. We were a party of six and just waiting on one person. My friend and her boyfriend waited for this person who is a girl. When she arrived, the bouncer would not allow them to come in because of my friends boyfriend. They were told to go back to the end of the line after they already waited in line.
I wanted to talk to a manager and a understanding security employee inside told me to go over to the bar and asked to speak to one. I waited over 15 minutes at the bar and was not approached by anyone behind the bar. Not even approached if I wanted a drink.
On the way out, I overheard the same security employee telling other guests that they are douche bags and that he doesn't care if they are a loyal customers. Even if the guest was being a douche bag. The security employee is not in the right to call them that. Calling a customer name when they are already escalated does not help the situation. This employee's actions are a direct reflection of this establishment and on how you run their business.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Sep 18, 2016Previous reviewThis establishment is sexist towards their guests coming in on the weekend. Newly reopened bar on the corner of King and Princess, attached to the Night School building.
The atmosphere was definitely a highlight. Interior design is really nice, decor is modern, music is not played overwhelmingly loudly.
Service was above average, beer list was excellent. Definitely worth checking out!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Katie G.Kitchener, ON0244Feb 12, 2017
Great hangout spot for groups. Good drink selection and the food was tasty. Reasonably priced. I just wish they had more individual tables!

Would have been a 5 star if they still had breaded chicken wings but sadly they don't offer the selection :( other than that the food is amazing, I always recommend going here to friends. It's a completely different place from weekend to weekday. It's more of a bar type thing on the weekend but on the week days it's more of a restaurant. Will never stop coming for the Monday wings!

I found the staff (particularly the waitresses) very pushy while they would make their way through the crowd, telling people to move instead of being polite about it. Gabby the waitress was so rude, yelling at customers and swearing over our table. Definitely not going here again.
