The best butter chicken and garlic naan I've ever had in my life, impeccable atmosphere, kind and friendly service, prime spot to bring a few friends, prime date night spot.
Very high in my list of favourite Vancouver restaurants. keep up the great workHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 15, 2023
Genuinely enjoyed this restaurant. Very welcoming and friendly servers. The garlic naan was the best I had ever had...my husband said the same. Perfectly light and buttery with garlic that was not overpowering. Lamb korma was also delicious. The chicken tika masala was a little more tomato-flavored than we'd had before, but all in all a solid meal.

Solid Indian food with plenty of vegan options, but there are a lot of better places in town for Indian food.
I ordered 3 dishes online ($16 each plus tax), and my order was ready for pick-up exactly when I requested. I got:
-Spinach Portobello Curry (hot). This was my favourite of the dishes. You get plenty of portobello mushrooms in this classic saag dish. Amply spicy, with a nice mushroomy, umami flavour depth. This was great. 4/5
-Okra Masala (extra hot). Reasonably done, but on the oily side; it had a nice tomato-y depth but was otherwise pretty simple despite its intense spiciness. Solid enough. 3.5/5
-Mixed Vegetable Jalfrezi (hot). This was a rather disappointing jalfrezi. Other than cauliflower, you get what are surely just mixed frozen veggies from a grocery store bag (peas, corn, carrot and green beans). The curry sauce itself was alright, but also lacking in depth. Pleasant enough, but rather disappointing, especially the lame frozen veggies. 2.5/5
All in all, decent Indian with lots of vegan options, but not one of Vancouver's best.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ana Karen C.Tacoma, United States4141917Dec 9, 2023
Amazing service and food please give them a try! Very tasty! I came down from Seattle in looking for some good eats and came across this place. I am coming back for sure!

I wasn't a fan of their butter chicken. I asked for it spicy, and it tasted like tabasco or some other hot sauce was added to it. Paratha was very dry. Service was good, quick, and kind.

Amazing food and very kind service. I eat Indian food every time I travel, and Spicy 6 did not disappoint. From appetizer to main, I was served tasty food in plentiful quantity. Highly recommended!!

This was our first time trying Spice 6 Fine Indian Cuisine and we absolutely loved it! HIGHLY recommend for anyone who comes to visit the area. Service was wonderful and food came out very quickly, warm and exactly as ordered. Best Indian food I have ever had!

Ordered a lot..
Pakoras were great
Samosas were great
Goat curry was horrible
Butter chicken was your average spicy stuff
Tandoori chicken was average
Biryani was average
Mango lassi was really good ..
It seemed like their curry dishes follow that standard model of lots of oil and lots of spice thrown together to get something out quickly..
it's mostly tastes okay for the neighborhood it's in, but there seemed to be no effort on an effort to any dish really special that should get them a better score from meHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 6, 2020
N wanted Indian food downtown so I let her choose the spot. She's been a few times to Spicy 6, which is located upstairs over an eyewear store, Art Face Optical.
We dropped in on a Monday (around 5:30pm) and were the first customers of the night. It wasn't busy. The place oddly doesn't play any music. Service was friendly and they came by several times to refill waters. They ask you how spicy you want your dishes; we went with mild (N is a wimp when it comes to spicy food).
The two page menu consists of starters, non-vegetarian, vegetarian, tandoori creations and rice & naan. They also do a lunch buffet (11:30am to 2:30pm) on weekdays.
- Naan ($3.00) - standard fare. Soft and warm but not crispy.
- Chicken tikka masala ($16.00) - grilled chicken cooked in onion and tomato based sauce. Sauce was tasty but it's a small portion. Mostly onions with a couple sparse red and green peppers.
- Biriyani ($17.00) - basmati rice cooked with vegetables and we opted for lamb. Lamb was dry and needed the raita sauce. Biriyani itself was good but not worth the price point.
Prices are high at S6. Not a likely return visit for me when I want Indian food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
