Their delivery via ChowNow.
Listen the food was 3 stars but the packaging and the use of rice paper for the cha gio gets that extra star.
I'm always wary of ordering delivery bc of the horror stories but wasn't feeling well and needed pho.
Ordered Vietnamese fried spring rolls and a chicken pho (white meat only).
Packaging: the outer bag handles were wrapped in a sticker so in order to open you'd have to cut the sticker then the soup was wrapped in Saran Wrap as well to prevent drips. Winning!
Now to the food:
chicken pho: came hot but I still heated up the soup; came with all the side goodies : bean sprouts, limes, mint, peppers, and container of hoisin and sriracha - nice portion of chicken meat and noodles (I do mostly beef pho but under illness I prefer chicken and this one was pretty soothing)
Cha gio: crispy and yummy with lettuce and nuoc nam, rice paper wrap is nostalgia and happiness in my tummy
Def will not hesitate to order pho from them again. Since I was under the weather I didn't order their banh mis but I do remember those being delicious. Next time.
Keep supporting local esp shops like this in downtown that are still feeling the effects of Covid and remote work.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 20, 2013Previous reviewIt's alright.
The interior upgrade from what it was when it was Pho Nga would be a 1000 stars lol. The new owners took this place and made it more chic.
There is a small "bar" sitting area with a big screen TV for sports, etc It's not super fancy but much nicer than a lot of standard pho places. The restroom alone would make me go back. Way cleaner and nicer than most pho shops :)
Now to the food. It's stand options - pho, vermicelli, rice plates, and banh mi sandwiches. The prices are about standard - large pho is $6.50 and the banh mi sandwiches range from $2.95-3.50.
I ordered the large pho with meatballs and my cousin had the grilled pork rice plate. We split a pork banh mi sandwich. The pho was ok. The portion was good. The banh mi sandwich was ok. Not the best I've had but still fairly good.
Overall, it was a nice lunch. The food was good, the prices were reasonable and the restrooms were clean. The service was good too. We had two young waiters who were attentive and polite.
Definitely try this spot again when we tire of Cali or Pho Saigon. - Apr 30, 2024Updated review
I live right across the street from this joint and I come here probably once a month or so for their pho and dumplings. A large pho with all the fixings is roughly $14, which is pretty hard to beat these days. The broth is heavy on the flavor and light on the color, which means they took their time developing a clean, yet flavorful, broth. They're always very fast on their takeout orders, which is a huge plus. And the place is always full, another great sign. All in all, I definitely recommend.

Their pho is really pretty fantastic honestly. The broth is nice and light but flavorful and they don't hold back on the noodles and the meat. Their sides are great too actually. I get their egg rolls very often and they hit all the time. The service is really good as well. Very kind and sweet. Ambience seems cool, but I can't really speak to it too much because I only do take-out. Overall, I'd highly recommend if you're in the area.

Great Pho! Went here with the lunch crew. The pork banh mi was gone so fast. The pho was yummy and the large was enough for take home.

The food is fine. I like the parking lot, it is nice to have a big parking lot in midtown area for lunch time

Excellent pho with large portions. There is a free Vietnamese Iced Coffee on Tuesdays with purchase of food.

We've been here a few times for their pho and definitely like it a lot. We tried their lemongrass steak during one of our recent visits and it was very good. It had a lot of flavor and you wouldn't need to add anymore sauces to it. If you do want a sauce then ask them for their lemon and pepper sauce, that would go well with it.
It's a pretty big place with lots of seatings. It gets busy during lunch time but for the most part they have lots of seatings available. Their service is ok depending on who is serving you. Sometimes they come pretty often to check on you and do interrupt your conversations. Overall it is a great place for a good and reasonably sized pho.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Abigail J.Oklahoma City, United States0812Mar 1, 2024
The egg rolls are great! Definitely homemade and pack with tasty ingredients. The pad Thai was good, great portions and came out piping hot. The meatball pho was okay. Heavy on the cinnamon or maybe nutmeg.. I was the meatball would have been fresher. They tasted like that had been cooking for 15+ hours. Appetizer came out very last, Pho first, pad thia 10 minutes later.

Restaurant is in a good location and parking is easy as there's a lot behind the restaurant. It's open late and their menu is huge! Gets quite packed for dinner. Dishes are very reasonably priced as well. The quality of the food is okay compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in Houston, but the flavors are still present.

Simply Pho is one of our go to places to order from when my coworkers and I need a quick pick me up in the form of Vietnamese coffee. A good Vietnamese coffee is potent and will wake up night shifters like us. We always have it delivered and more than once we have had something missing. We get our refund, but it sucks when you got hungry people waiting for some food or drinks.
The coffee is always good and strong. The condensed milk gives it just the right amount of sweetness without being too sweet. My only complaint is that the coffee can be a little grainy from time to time. Food wise, we've ordered an assortment of things and everyone enjoys their food. Their Vietnamese egg rolls are really good. Nice and crispy and stuffed with deliciousness. The banh mi is hit or miss but mostly good.
Overall, we don't have many choices as far as delivery goes when in the mood for Vietnamese, but this place does the trick.Helpful 20Thanks 2Love this 17Oh no 1
