Used to be my favourite location, but not anymore. It's a busy location, so many items are out of stock and employees are less patient. Often times have to go somewhere else.
A bigger selection of food and beauty sectionHelpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Mar 16, 2019Previous reviewMy fav shoppers in the area. Almost always has the sale items in stock. Even in the evening. Large food section with produce. Clean. Self check out. I often visit other stores and don't find what I am looking for and need to go here instead. Sometimes there's rude service from cashiers and the lines are long. Most of the time it's good though.

This is a nice, rather large Shoppers Drug Mart that is open 24hours. Huge plus there! It has also recently started carrying more grocery products like produce and such. The prices for these items are premium though, as you would surely guess. I'm not sure if anyone would really go to SDM for groceries seeing that there is a Longo's and a Walmart within a 5 minute drive, but the option to pick up an emergency lemon has it's place I suppose.
This location has a pretty good selection of products, but not as wide of a selection as other SDM's that I've frequented. I've noticed this more in the snack foods and cosmetics departments.
The pharmacy at this location is where I deduct the most points. I don't think I've ever waited less than 30 mins for a prescription here. I called in a refill yesterday and was told that it wouldn't be ready for 1 hour..! I understand that filling prescriptions isn't something that you would want to rush, but I think waiting for an hour is excessive. Getting my prescription transferred over from a different SDM was also an extremely time-consuming task, probably about 45mins wait time for what I would think to be a simple transaction. Regardless of the waits, the pharmacists are pleasant enough. I just suggest bringing a book if you're coming here to get a prescription filled!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 165673459449Jul 14, 2010First to Review
This Shoppers Drug Mart at 9th line and Hwy 7 is the one that I frequent most often out of all the Shoppers in the area. Why?? Because it is open 24 hours.
The shelves here are always stocked and I love their beauty department here.
Again Nothing beat their opening time! Since you never know when you feel like shopping or pick up some milk and ice cream in the middle of the night!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - P K.Markham, ON02Apr 14, 2020
I was in this location this morning and was charged twice the price i was supposed to be charged for Orange Juice - flyer said $2.99 but i was charged $5.99. I brought this to the attention of the manger and he insisted that the price was $#5.99. As there were no flyers to check because of COVID-19 I returned the juice - terrible customer service.

I love this Shoppers as it's the closest to my house. As well, it's open 24 hours...I mean, who doesn't love shopping at Shoppers at 3am in the morning! Just kidding. :)
This Shoppers is located between Wootten Way and 9th Line on Highway 7, so it's quite out of the way for the majority of Markham residents. In fact, there are at least 2 other Shoppers within a 5km radius. However, this is the only one that opens 24 hours.
There's also a wider selection of merchandise here, as well as a rather large food counter compared to other Shoppers Drug Marts I've been to.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christine F.Markham, ON602Oct 25, 2018
Be careful who you get at the pharmacy. I got a Caucasian lady who was very rude. I simply just wanted my kids medication and to leave right away. But this lady was out of line. I requested someone else to service me since I find this lady very dramaful. Another lady helped me and the rude lady was telling her not to service me like this is 1920s when they didn't service blacks or asian... how rude and racist! I'm very disappointed with the pharmacy staff at this Shoppers location.

Pharmacy is not very helpful at all. They will put you on hold and never come back. They also weren't very helpful when I managed to contact them. The lady I spoke to was very rude when I eventually got them to answer.

I checked as of January 2020, no longer 24 hours, open only to 12:00 midnight. But still a great store

I started going to this location recently and had some good experiences that I would like to share with fellow "yelpers". I needed to get a prescription filled and had a problem with my work insurance program. The pharmacy staff really stepped up to the plate - they made a few calls and figured everything out. I was very impressed. Talk about putting the customer first. The pharmacist has always been very willing to help with various questions as well.
I also like the broad selection of products which is not really unique to this location but more to the chain as a whole. I like that I can grab a few groceries, pick up some shavers, shampoo, Cologne and any prescriptions all at the same time. I also tend to buy my magazines here as well. The staff at the front counters have always been friendly while engaging in small talk. Great hours as well, I think it never closes - even on most holidays. The point card is also cool, they have 20 times the point days or bonus $'s if you use your points on certain days.
My wife tells me the only negative is that this location doesn't sell certain cosmetic products. I must confess, I have no idea what these products are but she needs to go to the Markham rd. near Bur Oak location for these items. Also, prices are higher than your local Wall Mart but I like the convenience.

Good store overall. 24hr is convenient. Wide product selections compared to other SDM in the area. Very friendly customer service.
Cons: Senior discount requires age 65, compared to 55 for other SDM stores in the area.
Occasionally, you may be served by a rigid old cashier. One time I bought 2 items and handed over 2 coupons. On each coupon saying "one per purchase", but doesn't say "one per transaction". I explained to her the difference, she still insisted only one coupon allowed. But after she scanned all the items, she even forgot to put in the credit for the one coupon allowed.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
