Shawarma Prince

This is our go-to shawarma place in the west end. The service is friendly, the meat is tender, and the portion is wonderful. I always ask for extra onions and tomatos and they give me a plenty at no charge

We order 1 mixed plate shawarma (chicken & beef) and it's large enough for 2 people. Sometimes a little bit for leftovers the next day.

Parking is plentiful and free as they have their own parking lot.

Really good and fresh ingredients !! The shawarma plate has plenty of food to fill you up, enough of two people.. Abdool and Mohammed really do a great job and helped me pick the perfect dinner plate. Prices are super reasonable and good quality. I truly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back and recommend :) Won't be disappointed!

I visited shawarma prince today for the very first time for a quick lunch meeting with my mom. The restaurant was very clean, the tables were clean, everything was well displayed. When I approached the counter to place my order the gentleman suggested a better deal for me which I really appreciate it because he save me some money. The preparation area was extremely clean which I really liked, the toppings were freshly sliced and the display was quite nice, please see picture. There's a gentleman who took payment, the prices are well displayed therefore you will not have any issues figuring out how much you'll have to pay.

They have a dispenser for their soft drink and my Coca-Cola tastes fresh and fizzy, the way it should always taste.

The shawarma was fresh and delicious, they are very generous with the chicken. The salad and side of potatoes, fresh and scrumptious. The garlic sauce is perfect, I'd like to say it's the best in Ottawa, can't wait to come back!

I visited the washroom, there's an employee washroom and a washroom for customers. Overall it was clean but the toilet seat was Peed on by the previous customer, it is not the restaurant's fault as you can clearly see by the way the rest of the washroom is that they try their very best to keep it clean.

I'm very happy with my visit today, again it was my very first time visiting this restaurant and I really enjoyed myself. The Shawarma tasted amazing and I feel that I will be back again for some tasty Shawarma. You guys must try it!

Review for delivery.

I would not order from this restaurant again for delivery or otherwise. I'd recommend people going in-store to order so they actually get a classic shawarma, if that's what they want.
I'm only giving 2 stars because the sandwich was well wrapped and didn't fall apart half way through. As someone who detests messiness when eating, I appreciate a wrap that doesn't need to compromise too much on fillings.

Now to the bad:

The shawarma and salad didn't come with pickled turnip. The salad also didn't have pickles or hot pepper--ingredients that (in my opinion) should by default be added because they distinguish Lebanese salads from other kinds. I would've thought that unless a customer stated otherwise, shawarmas and Lebanese salads should be made the way they're intended to be made.
As well, the beef's texture felt like paper when chewed on (comparison based on childhood experience).

Finally, the restaurant is either sloppy or intentionally deceptive with their advertising of products on their online ordering menu. I ordered a Combo 3 which, according to the written description, should've come with a large sandwich; instead the "Regular" (with no added cost) for the Combo was a small sandwich. So Combo 3 was in fact the exact same as Combo 1 but around $2 more. $2 isn't too much but it's about the principle.
Don't scam people. Just focus on making good food, and the people will come (back).

But probably not me.

Great location for a healthy quick grab meal. Everything looks and tastes fresh. Hummus is crazy delicious. Meats have lots of flavour and moisture.

I like getting the family tray here, serves 4+ adult sized meals, includes big containers of hummus, garlic, pitas, salad, rice meats.

Guys are crazy fast and friendly here too. Will return again and again.

One stop shop for deceivingly healthy garlicky goodness. I can't get enough! Definitely recommend

The shawarma place is pretty good as well. I like how they separate the sauces from the dish. I like how they give you three sauces. Plenty of space to sit and dine in and parking as well. The pickles and other veggies are a bit too sour for me. Me and my wife share and it's just the right amount. I actually want more rice and potatoes. I'll come back here if I'm in the mood for some shawarma. A bit too much salad. The meat was okay with sauce they provided the meat tasted a lot better.

What more is there to say?

I've been there twice, and had a pretty damn good shawarma each time.

I would certainly recommend this location for a quick, quality meal.

Not sure why this place has four stars, the falafel plate (1/5) I ordered was rubbery, not impressed. Chick sandwich (3/5) and hummus (3/5) are ok but nothing special. We called in adavance telling them our pick up time as we are tight in our schedule. When we got there at the time we specified, our order hasn't start yet.
