We are fairly regular customers and the pizza is the best in the area. Last time we went, our wings were not up to our standards (they were to be out with other items and seemed to sit for a few) but they immediately recognized it and made it right and they were amazing. We continue to make Ruckus our go-to because of their commitment to make it right and delicious food. Be kind, don't be a jerk, and you will get the same in return here. Also, best mozzarella sticks I've ever had. Always loyal to Ruckus and always will be.

We've been regulars at Morrisville Ruckus for years. Can't say enough about Kesh. He is always friendly and knows his customers. He jumps in to help when it gets busy and is very hands on. He hasn't been at this location for several weeks now and it shows. Definitely need him back. He is for sure one reason we go there regularly. It would be a shame to lose him. Terrance is also a great employee and we are regulars for him also. I'm giving 3 stars but would rate higher with Kesh there.

I ate here on a Tuesday night for dinner with two other people. These are my thoughts and observations.
-It's loud inside, so you have to shout to be heard. To avoid that, I suggest sitting outside under the canopy.
-We waited 15 minutes for our food.
-I ordered the Italian Stallion with pasta salad and the brownie desert. My meal was mediocre.
-The portions aren't filling.
-I originally rated this establishment 3 stars, but due the owner's rude response to my review, I bumped this down to 1 star.
Overall, my experience was rather ordinary.
My review ends here. I'd like to use this section to address the owner's rude comments below.
-A restaurant can be lively without being loud. The volume had nothing to do with the cancer charity by the door.
-I agree, a 15 minute wait isn't long. I figured people could make that assumption for themselves.
-I never insinuated in my review that your food was frozen.
-I don't expect leftovers, but I shouldn't have to order a dessert because my entree left me hungry.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 1Business owner information

Harrumph.
I think you jest about shouting to be heard at your table.
That would be just silly, if you actually had to shout.
Your words not mine.
It is a Lively place with music and usually VERY busy.
We actually had a Giveback for Fill The Bucket last night.
They are an Adult Cancer 501c3 that partnered with us.
They raise money for adults that have been diagnosed with cancer.
Check them out. There were a lot of them in the restaurant last night raising money to do good in the community. Did you notice their table at the front of the restaurant? Did you notice a lot of mingling around of good friends and acquaintances joining together to support their community? Maybe that's what you thought was too loud. A community coming together to help other people in need.
Or maybe you didn't notice any of that.
Outside is very nice. We have a covered patio with walls so we can heat it in the winter so guests can have the option of dining in our restaurant without having to wait a very long time to sit down in a very busy restaurant.
Well, Um, Yes. You waited all of 15 minutes for scratch made food, that we don't pour from a frozen bag, on a very busy night, on a Tuesday.
Annndddd, You think waiting 15 minutes for your scratch made food is unreasonable?
I'm just at a loss here. Anybody else think waiting 15 minutes for your scratch made food at Ruckus is UNREASONABLE?
Italian Stallion is a pretty good sandwich. May not have been your favorite but with our extensive menu ranging from quesadillas, pizza, chopped salad, build your own pasta, steak philly sandwich, blackened mahi tacos, to everything else. My apologies for the Italian Stallion not being up to your standards.
And well, Um, "The portions are filling, but you won't have leftovers."
I'm really just not sure what to say here.
Maybe a different restaurant that pours food from a frozen bag that over portions crappy frozen food would be more to your liking. You would have plenty of frozen crappy food to take home with you. That right there is a REAL Plus. I can think of 5 other restaurants that really fit your preferred restaurant profile.
I'm sorry for our Busy, Community-minded, giveback, scratchmade food that you didn't get enough of to take some home, disappointing restaurant experience.

Every time we come here we do it for redemption and then we leave remembering why we don't usually come back often. The pizza slices are usually good especially at their mission valley place. But they were pretty burnt here at the Cary location this time. I got a salad this time and it was also sub par. It tasted like a salad i could make at home. The only thing that saved the night was the key lime pie that actually took a while to get out to us. Wednesday night trivia's are fun. Their wings aren't bad but they don't have good options. It's a pretty standard sports bar. If you're here to mostly drink, this is a good spot for you.

Pizzas lately have been very undercooked, over-sauced and very soggy. Also, you'd never know we were still in a pandemic there because it's completely unmasked (except staff) and no distancing. If you want to catch Covid, and a soggy pizza, this is a good choice of venue.

Hey Heidi.
Sorry about your pizza. That's usually not the case.
Actually all our staff wear masks.
All our guests wear masks when moving around the restaurant.
Our guests do not wear masks at their table or when seated at the bar.
Most everyone I've talked with at the restaurant either has had the COVID or has had their shots.
Please join us when COVID is completely eradicated and there is 0% cases in the US.
You gave us a 3 star review in September and now a 1 star review.
We would both feel much safer then.Sep 2, 2020Previous reviewMy review's 3 stars are primarily because the Covid protocols are pretty fast and loose here. Consistently crowded bar area during peak hours, no enforcement of masks when patrons are walking to restroom or to cashier. The employees wear masks but, during my several visits for takeout, they are often times below the nose or... inexplicably - are pulled off the mouth entirely (cashier) when talking to you (I assume because the environment is quite loud/hard to hear... but come on! Pulling mask down to talk?). Food is fine. I would never dine inside now, not with close-in tables and crowded bar and poor mask adherence. There is a decent size outdoor patio. During an off-period (not crowded), it would be fine to sit outside.

If you've ever been to the Ruckus on Avent Ferry you may be surprised with the new location on Tryon. While the original Ruckus is pretty much a bar that serves pizza and sandwiches, Ruckus II is more like a restaurant that also doubles up as a sports bar! But there's a lot of what made the original Ruckus popular here and more.
The menu is simple: pizzas, grinders and pastas for a quick and easy bite. While I haven't tried the pizza here, Ruckus is about NY Style pizza and they do a nice job. There's also a handful of appetizers and other entrees but its mostly about the pizza. Service was quick and attentive, and I'll have to say, awful cute! For those of you living near Tryon and Walnut, you've now got a new neighborhood sports bar that doesn't force you to navigate the maze called Cary Crossroads. Stop on by for a quick meal and catch the game on one of the flat-panels, Ruckus is a nice addition to the neighborhood!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Laura M.Cary, United States40363Nov 23, 2021
Last night, I placed a call to Ruckus to pick up. I was leaving RDU Airport, so they'd have plenty of time to have it ready when I got there. All I ordered was a chicken parmigiana sandwich and 6 slices of pizza. The girl repeated my order to me over the phone. She asked my name, I told her and she said 30 minutes. I replied thank you,see u soon. I arrived a bit early but I gave my name and she couldn't find my order on the computer ! Another girl came over to help her. Then she asked me if i placed my order under a different name. I replied no. Again I said my name. Then they apologize and tell me they'll put a rush on it! I still waited another 15 minutes. She gave a lame apology, I paid and left. I wasn't even given money off for the mistake or given something for free. Bad business in my eyes. Not a very happy customer here! Not thrilled with what happened at all!

Out experience at this location is always top notch. Our server Jay was outstanding and despite them being short staffed they provided great service and the food was perfect.

Stopped here for dinner after running some errands on Tryon Road. Initially I was really impressed with the menu and was having a difficult time figuring out what to get. I ended up going with Getting an order to go, BBQ chicken pizza and a house salad.
Pizza was good, but the toppings were not evenly distributed. There were some slices with no chicken at all. I liked the flavor of the bbq sauce tho because it had a bit of a kick to it and the roasted red peppers were a nice compliment.
The house salad was super underwhelming. It was essentially bagged salad mix with 3 slices of cucumber, and one slice of tomato. I did ask for no cheese, but it really just seemed lacking. Also, a large is supposed to come with fresh baked bread which I didn't get.
Staff was friendly and the bar section definitely had an 'everybody knows your name' feel to it. I'd give it a second shot, but I don't know if I would make the pizzas their headliner.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

While it's wonderful that you enjoyed our menu selections and the service, Meaghan, it's a shame to read about your disappointment with your takeout order. I can assure you, we use the freshest ingredients and treasured recipes, so I'm deeply sorry if the BBQ Chicken Pizza and the House Salad left you underwhelmed.
It sounds like this was a bit of an off day for us, so would you mind telling me when you stopped by?
Thank you,
Robert
