Restaurant Marathon Souvlaki

Marathon's in Laval is a staple the first of it's Kind. The original ! We love coming here as it helps go back down memory lane.

The ambiance is indescribable... it's where I use to go for awesome greek food throughout my entire youth. Till this day, it is still the best place for awesome greek food in laval. The menu is classic! I love love love their tzatziki and marathon's house dressing. It never gets old. They make it all homemade and I love how they never changed their recipe

The diner is always been that way for years .. they just expanded the dinner room a while back but the look is still retro and I love that about it.

Food: amazing, delicious this one makes killer brochettes! The chicken brochettes are extremely tender and savoury. The gyro meat /pita is delish! They actually stuff that pita to the max and it tastes delicious and flavourful.

Service: a little long but considering the amount of people they had to serve is very understandable. This is one of the only places that is amazing unique and worth coming over and over again.

I love it here ! Definitely a must try if you love greek food and you're in laval!

I live in NY and was raised in Montréal.
I continuously search for a good Greek restaurant. Marathon is the best. Even better than the restaurants in Astoria, NY

Ordered the pork souvlaki plate with Tzatziki side. Also had a chicken and pork gyro half and half plate. Pork gyro so good we ordered another side plate ($7) of it. Definitely search out this place to have a satisfying meal.

Marathon is a classic childhood memory for me, which makes every meal there feel like home!
Service at the Laval location is always top notch- waiters are incredibly friendly! The food is consistently delicious, I have been ordering the pork stick plate with greek salad and fries since I was a child, and it tastes the same every single time.

Pro tip: dinner time can be especially busy and waitlists are common on Friday and Saturday nights- if you are okay with not having a typical sit-down meal, you can go to the take-out counter (on the right side of the restaurant) and order at the counter and eat in or bring it home!

Everything is amazing at this place! Location, value for money, service, cuisine and ambience are fantastic! One of my favorite places in Montreal.

Sunday I ordered only a plate of 2 pitas at the Express counter, but waited 30 minutes to get it !!
There was no client but me and the cashier girl didn't even said anything while I was standing in front of the cash these 30 minutes.

I am giving only 1 star for this.

I'm giving a 1 star rating because it should NOT take over 90 minutes to be served your meal when you order at a restaurant!!! 2 people ordering and having to wait and ask, and ask again... first and last time I'll set foot in this restaurant.

Only reason I did not leave is because every 5 minutes I was telling myself, the food gotta be ready soon... was so hungry too...

Marathons makes a fine souvlaki but you gotta eat it fresh. I made the mistake of doing take-out once and it just wasn't as good as it is fresh. And you want the meat to be hot to contrast that cool tzaziki sauce.

Marathons is definitely not a place I go to often but it's also not a place I can stay away from for too long before I get a craving.

Just writing this makes me wish I had one right now.

Been coming here for years! Great fresh food, excellent service. Who can resist that Marathon salad????

Not much has changed over the years even the parking is still bad lol but one you get in, it's so worth it!

You don't get a bad meal at this place! I had the chicken on a pita with salad and their round fries. Great service and great food!!
