Red Lantern

I thought this place was a good bang for my buck. they gave so much food and so much free things! here's what i ordered:

orange chicken-- yum! crispy and delicious
kung pao chicken-- delicious! but it had more veggies than it did chicken...
mapo tofu-- i love how soft the tofu was, but the sauce was ok. needed more flavor.

all these entrees came with a choice of white rice or fried rice. soo yummy! they also gave me free egg drop soup too, so kind and great business model!

After an extended trip away from home I looked for open late night restaurants - difficult to do in Denver where most close around 9. I seen this little spot was open late and decided to give it a chance. To my surprise it was precisely what I needed, quiet, relaxed, family-owned, great service, solid 7/10 food quality (depending on dish). Oh! And the water! It's *filtered* This is a big + for me because table water straight from the tap is a definite no go!
I will be back, this place is a good local staple mom&pop Chinese food stop

Food was SO GOOD!! love the pretty decorations and the customer service was lovely :). Highly recommend the cashew shrimp also

This is a classic American "Chinese Restaurant" with crunchie strips and sweet and sour sauce to start, EXCELLENT hot and sour soup, and all the usual suspects on the menu. I recommend the "Kung Pao" anything any long as you are ok with a little spice. I love "dine in" lunch, which is a steal, and "take out" dinner. Decor is classically dated but clean and staff is lovely. Hidden gem!

Great service, good food, flair interior. I got delicious fried pork dumplings. Hot tasty bowl of egg drop soup. A side a not so delicious fried rice.

I enjoyed my experience. The server was attentive. Wish there was more kick to the rice.

Delicious Chinese food served fresh, hot, and quick! Ordered orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, spicy chicken fried rice, pork egg rolls, and wonton soup. That chicken fried rice was absolutely incredible! The entrees came with quite a bit of food - I'd say good value overall for sure. Most definitely will eat at Red Lantern again!

This is the worst Chinese-American food I've ever had. Everything was terrible. The rice was refrigerated cold in spots like it was microwaved. The chicken was stringy and chewy like it's been microwaved too long. The egg rolls tasted exactly like the frozen ones you throw in a friar for a minute. Honestly threw most of it away. Waste of money. They may have good dishes, but I was looking for some good asian fried chicken and this was the opposite of what I was seeking.

Good food great service! We ordered our food and picked it up. It was early before the dinner rush and they had the food out really quickly and even threw in some free egg rolls.

Not great. We ordered a bunch of things and nothing was really great. I'd rather have Panda Express if I want American Chinese food.

OK, I LOVE Chinese food, and Red Lantern is the best.
When I walk in, I am ALWAYS made to feel welcome.
The food is always fresh. I give very high ratings to the hot and sour soup and the sesame chicken.
Even better than the food is the service. They make you feel VERY welcome from the moment you walk in the door.
So, it is well worth the drive for both the food and the service.
The atmosphere is OK, but the service and food more than make up for it!
