RBC Royal Bank

My first time visiting this location and hopefully my last. There's a lot of people here and some of them are so entitled. I know he's a senior and I might get crap for this but I don't care: don't cut the line. I don't even mean going to the front of the line when there's about 10 people in line...I'm saying this grandpa just went right up to a teller and wanted service. WOW. She kindly asked him to go sit down and she'd remember where he was in the order. I get that he's old and doesn't want to stand the entire time but surely he could have asked or said to someone in front of him "can you tell the person who comes behind you that I'm actually in line? I'm in no condition to wait standing up". Considering we saw tons of seniors in the bank, what if every senior did that? I'd be there for over an hour.

My second complaint is more RBC related than this specific branch, but it's getting the brunt of it since this is where I received the bad news. I wanted to buy a visa gift card for a client. Turns out you can't because it's been discontinued for some reason. It was honestly the best visa gift card around because it had no hidden or monthly fees for the recipient. The teller told me they discontinued it. I was annoyed because I waited almost 15 minutes to be told that...I wish I had known so I could have not come in at all :/

As a long time RBC client, when it came time to apply for my first mortgage they are the ones I went to see.
We got a great preapproved rate even though our initial mortgage specialist was tough to deal with.
Because of the difficulties we had, we chose to make an appointment with someone else to finalize the actual mortgage. (Not normally done, but given the situation they were able to make an exception)
The mortgage specialist we ended up with was Sam In. He was incredibly helpful! When there was a mix up with our rate that was sent to our notary, Sam helped to take care of it while he was on vacation and not even in the office!
