Epic night.
Our Tom Keifer Band (Cinderella) concert ended at the Saban Theater, and the buzz in the front foyer was that everyone was going to the Rainbow, so, off we went!
We explored the place inside and out. For those not familiar with, "The Bow," it has a well-earned reputation for hosting many rock icons over the years. You will see that Lemmy from Motörhead's presence is still very felt with a lounge, shrine, and statue dedicated to him. The inside has lots of music paraphernalia, photos, and other interesting things to draw the eye, including the rock patrons, who were all very nice.
There are three floors inside, with the top floor having live music on the night we were here. We even found our way into the crow's nest, which is a little wooden room at the top, about the size of a sauna, we got the history from a rando who was holed up there. Then there is an outdoor patio and a covered patio with a bar dubbed Lemmy's Lounge which is where we sat for a spell. Drinks were good, the bartender was friendly, and it was overall just a fun and chill spot to have some drinks. They also serve food; we got a big cheese pizza to end the night. Don't expect it to be fast, any pizza will take about 20 minutes.
Overall, I'd recommend stopping in for a drink at the Rainbow, especially if you are a rock fan! The characters you will meet are beyond reproach, it was an epic night.Helpful 14Thanks 5Love this 13Oh no 0 - 1677372582Feb 9, 2024
We had to check out the Rainbow Bar while in LA! We are both fans of hard rock/metal and this spot has a reputation of hosting many rock icons over the years. You will see that Lemmy from Motörhead's presence is still very felt with a lounge, shrine, and statue dedicated to him. The inside has lots of music paraphernalia, photos, and other interesting things to draw the eye. We enjoyed looking at the display of photos and recognizing many rock artists that attended the Rainbow Bar.

Drinks were good, the bartender was friendly, and it was overall just a fun and chill spot to have some drinks. They also served food (another group got pizza which looked good), but we were just having some drinks before setting off the explore again so didn't partake this time.

I got to have my first dining experience during a toast to Lemmy night, I made a reservation for dinner specifically for the event, had the BLT with onion rings, with Iron Maiden "Trooper" beer. The food and service was great, it was a fun night, celebrating Lemmy! I look forward to going again

But I was able to see the amazing mural of Lemmy outside! I've never been inside or eaten here yet, but I've made my reservation for the April 19 event toasting Lemmy's ashes being enshrined here and I'm very excited to have my first dining experience at this fixture for the L.A. music scene. I'm a big fan of Lemmy and Motorhead, but just never made it to the Rainbow back in the 90s, for some silly reason, so this is perfect #LemmyForever

The best and arguably the most infamous bar in Hollywood. Takes me back to my youth and late nights after seeing my favorite bands. Anyway, great spot to hang a have a few drinks. Staff is great, drinks more than fair and food can be pretty good, but didn't eat this time around.

The coolest scenery. La has some of the best attractions in my eyes.
Super rock and roll & had all my favorite artist everywhere. This place was definitely my scenery. It was Ozzy Osborne in the tutu for meeee HAHA! Felt like a museum /bar. You can smoke outside and eat. What is more better then that? Can't wait to come back.
I can't dim a star off because this place was THAT cool. I don't really like pizza, I tried it here it was good! I'm just more of a softer bread/puffer pizza eater. The pizza was flat. Hommade but ehh. The wings were 10/10. I'm excited to try something else off the menu next time.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 7Oh no 1 - Dec 19, 2023
Yes, its old and tired. Is it still iconic? Yes. I am a Midwesterner and when visiting my LA family they always try to take me to do and see things I would not otherwise get an opportunity to in the Midwest.
I have Celiac's disease and the only real options were a salad and a gluten free pizza - which is ok, I was feeling the pizza that night and it was fine enough.
The service was a little off that night, my tablemates food was delivered looooong before my pizza came out - like 40 minutes before my pizza was ready. It was fine, I was enamored with the old Hollywood stories that my family was telling me about different booths therein (Jim Belushi's last meal, Marilyn Monroe and Joe DeMaggio)...
Go for the environment and the story telling.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Anthony L.Atlanta, United States3751Apr 16, 2024
The place was lit the other day! I loved the Powerman5k band and the others. It was cool to see so many cool bands all together during their anniversary! Everyone here was super nice, and the service was great. They had amazing food too! I'm thinking about coming back in a few days for sponge.

everything was nice except this rude ass waitress. called me and my family "Walmarts" because someone accidentally spilled a drink. its that hard to clean up a drink? you gotta be rude like that? then find a new job you can enjoy lol.
Also the food wasn't the best.
We got fried zucchini and stuffed mushrooms.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
