I guess my experience was completely different than most as I rented a Cabana. I do have to say the pool closes at 7pm, which seems very early, but I cannot remember how the time compares to the other pools I have been to on the strip.
We rented a Cabana on a Saturday for $200 (18% gratuity added after check-out). [Prices vary depending on day and time of the year] You get the Cabana from 10am to close (at 7pm). The Cabana came with water, coke, fruits, snacks, misters, tv, media hub, pool floats and a safe. All included in the price. Our server was PHENOMENAL. When he first showed us around our cabana, he said, "I will check on you every 15 minutes" and he was NOT lying. Always there, taking our drink orders, which they had plenty to choose from. The food came in a good amount of time, with plenty of food options to choose from for a range of appetites and budgets. Note: our friends went to the pool the day before, without a Cabana and mentioned the food took WAY longer for them (and it was chips and salsa). My favorite part about the Cabana is that 2 out of the 3 Cabana sections have private pools in which a row of Cabanas shares.
If you're plan is to relax by the pool all day, you might as well fork over the money, especially since the Cabana has a max of 8 people, so potential to pay $25pp. (again prices vary). Although, I would say to heed caution in ordering, it's VERY easy to spend a LOT of money.
QUICK TIP: the Cabana's are first come, first serve and the Vdara gives you a window to check-in from 10am-12pm. I highly advise getting there early to pick your spot!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mar 29, 2024
I rented a large Poolside Cabana last week for a business/friends event. The service was amazing. Our Cabana Hosts, Vanessa and Chelsea, really made the day great. It turns out, it was their opening day. The Vdara pools are classy and beautiful. The music is chill and not loud, so my group could have conversations and relax. The drinks and food was good too. My guests loved everything and want to come back.
I couldn't get the online booking to work, likely since I booked it before the pools were open for the season, so I booked our Cabana by calling the MGM Rewards Resorts Booking phone number that put my through to the Vdara hotel's concierge.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jose T.San Francisco, United States02Sep 27, 2023
Nice pool area, great customer service! Attentive to your pool needs. The cabanas are great to unwind and relax, make new friends, drink if you want, shoot the breeze and listen to the pool music or bring your own small speaker to listen to your own music. You can also watch tv. The very hot weather, esp., during the summer is out of our control, can't do anything about that, except, you guessed it, dip in the pool! I hope you enjoy your stay

The cabana was the perfect Friday afternoon activity, away from the public and keeping us safe! We reserved a cabana online, and went early to get first dibs on selection. We chose the cabanas away from the public pool. There was a private pool just for us. It was perfect! Our server was also attentive, accommodating, and absolutely lovely! I wish I had got her name to recommend her! She was the best! Their cucumber drink has no sugar and was super refreshing in the heat! Lastly, the bang bang noodle salad was HELLA delicious!!! I'd totally order that anywhere!
Will definitely do this again on our next trip to vegas!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Enjella L.Los Angeles, United States26527546796Sep 6, 2018
This pool gets surprisingly packed. It's on the smaller side and so is the lounge area compared to other hotels.
The pool water is always warm and heavily chlorinated because I could smell myself for hours after I showered.
We were tempted to rent a few chairs or a cabana, but since we went during the weekday, we decided to chance it and were able to get chairs on our own without paying.
It is fairly reasonable to pay for a day bed, but as demand goes up - so do the prices (kinda like when you buy airplane tickets - the higher the demand the higher you will pay for your ticket).
The service here is great, and the employees provide you with towels and complimentary ice water.
We ordered nachos, chicken salad, and drinks. The nachos barely had any chicken in them which was a bummer. The salad was the refreshing and very appropriate for the scorching hot weather in the summer time.
The pool closes at 6pm and is located on the 3rd floor I believe.
Have fun!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Lizette V.Chula Vista, United States0176Jul 24, 2018
The best part of our Vegas trip was the cabana at Vdara. We were able to relax by a private pool with our chairs and stay cool with our own ceiling fan. Definitely worth it on a hot day! My husband and I were impressed at how friendly the staff was. Daniella was great! The food and drinks were awesome. Amazing overall experience.

We spent about a day and a half at the Vdara pool. For our "pool day" we rented an Escape Cabana. Pricing varies based on month and day of the week so I can't estimate what it might be for you but on a weekday in May ours was about $150 for the day. The cabana rental came with four waters (regular or coconut) and a fruit plate. You do have to ask for the server to bring your fruit plate when you're ready to eat it.
The Escape Cabanas have a "private" plunge pool that is shared between the cabana guests. There are about 5 cabanas in each area so if each one had the max number of guests you're talking about 20 people sharing a private pool. Luckily, our cabana neighbors weren't using the pool too much and it seemed like most only had two people. Who you are sharing the cabana area with will most definitely affect your experience and unfortunately there's not much you can do about it...just keep that in mind.
We came at the earliest possible check-in time and still had to wait 10-15 minutes until they would let us into our cabana. Once we were settled in, I was very bothered by the super hokie elevator music coming from several nearby speakers. The music was seriously awful and I knew it would ruin my cabana experience so I ran over to see if they could turn off the speakers around us. Fortunately, the cabana attendant was super understanding and spent a good amount of time switching speakers on and off until the ones surrounding us were off. This really made all the difference.
On a different day we spent some time at the main pool with the common folk and it was fine--nothing great or terrible about it.
If you're going to spend a full 8 hours at the pool I highly recommend splurging for the escape cabana, particularly if you can split the cost with friends.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Michael S.Vancouver, United States4925321531649Jul 7, 2012
Staying at Vdara for a couple days gave us a good chance to use the pool a couple times. We considered getting a cabana or day bed the first day, but had no problem finding pool chairs under one of the many umbrellas. Unless you are a large group, you probably don't need a cabana here. The day beds weren't much different than the chairs except softer.
Pool service was fantastic. Towels and tap water are available for free, but you can also order drinks and food to be brought to you. It was impressive how the waitresses found people for their drinks even when they were in the pool.
We tried a Build-Your-Own-Burger with Blue Cheese & Bacon and an order of the Chicken Tenders. Both come with Fries or Onion Rings, so, we got one of each. The Onion Rings were the better of the two sides, however, the fries were a-ok. The Chicken Tenders were thick & huge thanks to a heavy bread exterior that totally overwhelmed the white meat inside. Thanks to a side of Ranch Dressing, the chicken strips were edible. The burger was pretty standard except for the better than expected Blue Cheese which helped offset a slightly dry Beef patty. For drinks, we stuck to beers to match the chill out atmosphere.
The crowd at the Vdara Pool was older than many pools in Vegas which is probably a reflection of the quieter crowd at the hotel. People were friendly, but this was a good pool to simply escape the casino chaos of Vegas for a few hours.Helpful 15Thanks 0Love this 16Oh no 0 - Ingrid H.San Gabriel, United States08May 25, 2019
Horrible service from the time we walked in couldn't even beg to buy a drink or get service. Bring your own drinks and if you have a cabana you get at least served. Oranges dressed Lady told me she was going to come back never did so guess we were either too black or wasn't spending enough on a cabana. Did notice they asked in front of us if they were ok. Poor service indeed

It had a really good chance. I swear it did. We showed up to our cabana reservation at the main pool entrance immediately met with a "sorry maam our pool is closed" without a question for what I was looking for. There were clearly guests enjoying the cabanas, but I was not asked that. I found out the magic word was "CABANA." OK, so I make it to a very nice private little cabana area that was very nicely laid out with a covered area complete with a TV, complementary water/coconut water, and four lounge chairs. There is a smaller but adequate private lunge pool that is actually a lot bigger and nicer than it appears in reviews or photos.
Our server Stephanie was fantastic and attentive. We got some pretty exorbitantly priced bar food and a yummy pitcher of drinks. Of course I expected the food & drink to be over priced, and it was pretty average at best. We were enjoying the hell out of it, and actually really having a great time, until we were told the cabana area, along with the rest of the pool that had already closed, would be closing 2 hours early. Earlier in the day, they had told us that if they were going to close, the cabanas would be completely if not significantly discounted. This was not the case. We had a small discount which to be fair to them did add up to the "lost time" of only 2 hours. But they did go back on their word and were unwilling to be flexible with any other comps, including entry to a neighboring hotel's pool. I realize the reason they closed was not anyone's fault-it was very windy, supposedly a safety risk, I am not faulting anyone there, but the prompt closing was not pleasant for our day and should have been compensated as such by the management. This is supposed to be an upcoming high end resort in a high end city of luxury, and there were about 5 total cabanas inhabited (of like 20), it wouldn't have been a stretch to comp everyone and/or offer a cabana credit for a following day.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
