I have been taking my pets here for a long time and always very satisfied. I love the hours and they are open seven days a week. I have had emergencies to routine care. Dr Singh is very knowledgeable and kind. I think for me the best part is they have the medical equipment needed for things like an ultrasound or a CT and a radiologist available to read x-rays. You can't go wrong with trusting them with your animals!
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 25, 2016Previous reviewLove this place! I have to say I love these hours. They are the most date of the art place here in Livermore! I had a situation where my dog was very, very sick. I was told she would need an ultra sound and to go to Sage. It dawned on me that I had met the vet at a function and he said they had one! I called and they fit me right in. Had a radiologist read it online and there was something in her tummy. Was told to do conservative care and see how she is tomorrow. They thought she could pass it. (Dr. Mann would have stayed late and done the surgery if that was needed, after hours). I was still concerned, but my dog was feeling better. By the next day she was a lot better! No surgery!! I am very thankful and I saved a bunch of money! He is now out vet for both of my dogs!! See for yourself what a great place this is.

Don't not recommend. Only came here because my regular vet was closed (Sunday) and also has a waiting period of 1-2 weeks before we can see the vet. I had an urgent care type of situation vs an emergency.
Tried to tell me my dog had a heart murmur. My dog was screaming with pain because she did something with her back, and none of the staff would hold her properly (with her bottom half supported) so she was just screaming. Doctor wouldn't respond to me or look at me, everything was addressed to my SO (male). Even though it was obviously my dog, and I was answering all the questions. I paid the $$.
Didn't sedate my dog when she had X-rays. I didn't realize how bad it was until I went to my normal vet (Adobe) for a similar issue a few months later (this time it was a back leg issue, no screaming). The staff there is so much more kinder, professional, caring, and (imo) prescribed more efficient medication. Ultimately my gal is old (15) with a young dog mind, spirit, and sometimes energy. We've made adjustments so she doesn't play so hard and has less opportunities to chase skunks offHelpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Susan C.CA, United States062Apr 13, 2024Updated review
PetCura is my go to veterinary hospital for my dog Rose. The staff is efficient and friendly. All medications and procedures are explained thoroughly and Rose has been taken care of very well. Dr Singh is energetic and professional. I feel like Rose is in good hands there. I will take her there in the future!

Dr. Singh explained clearly to me all of the steps and possible concerns that he could encounter during operation procedure. Everything went smooth and before leaving the facility the staff once again went through medications and bandages carefully. My pet is recovering nicely and I will make PetCura my choice for pet health in the future.

-Concerning and clearly understaffed: there was one vet dealing with all of the clients. He didn't have time to follow up with me after the visit, because he was very rushed. We talked hurriedly behind the receptionists desk before he abruptly left while I still had questions. Didn't go over the medication with me (because he was so overwhelmed with everything as he was the only vet). There was a lack of professionalism in client treatment (no asking if the client had any questions and no time to make sure medication was explained). I also gave my pet vaccinations and there was no explanation on when I needed to get his next shots either.
The vet forgot to weigh my cat, after I specifically asked for his weight to be checked and I listed one of my concerns was he was losing weight. It was when I was picking up my cat to take home that I noticed on the paperwork it didn't list his weight, so I asked them to weigh him. I just hope they remembered to input that information in his medical records. Also in every other vet clinic I've been to I've noticed they typically always weigh my cats first.
-unorganized: I got a missed call from the receptionist who told me the vet wanted to speak with me. It turns out the vet who wanted to speak with me about someone else's pet. Very unorganized.
-No vet technician during the initial exam so often they will ask you to do things a vet tech should do, such as hold the pet down, or open its mouth, or lift it to get weighed (which I've never seen done at any of the other vet clinics I've been to), and without the right training I think is not wise.
-Potential rough handling: my cat had rectal bleeding after the fecal exam which either they did not know, so I'm assuming they didn't check. I found out later after noticing it the same day. After talking to other veterinarians I've been told bleeding shouldn't be common with gentle insertion, and that makes me wonder how they treated my pet (he never has had rectal bleeding before).
Also some exam rooms smell pretty bad, like urine of some sort.
There is a website that is designed like an app? So you can use it to send inquiries, schedule appointments, and ask questions. They are all basically just email format and you have to continuously input your name, number, and pet name, and the vet or receptionist will respond supposedly in 1-2 days. This seems like it would overwhelm the vets and staff even further and I'm not necessarily sure if this is the best idea.
There are pet profiles but they serve no purpose other than listing your pets name and DOB. There is no linked medical history, or vaccination history, so to be honest the function of this or purpose seems null.
What I do appreciate about this clinic is that appointments are readily available, however after my last appointment I don't think I want to come back. And maybe that's why appointments are so readily available.
Overall very poorly run and unorganized and hard to trust as a consumer. I would look for other places, even for emergencies.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 2 - Shawn S.Gig Harbor, United States0442Feb 20, 2024
During our winter visit to Livermore, our dog tangled with a fox. It is unlikely they actually came into contact, but I wanted him to have a rabies booster just to be safe. He wasn't an established patient, but he was seen, examined, and boosted. PetCura will be our Livermore dog doc.

I am writing this to hopefully save as many people from ever going here with their precious fur babies. PetCura made the hardest day of my life an absolutely traumatizing experience and I wish I never trusted them with my baby, specifically after Dr. Mann left.
We came in to see Dr. Fahad Munir because our yorkie was displaying symptoms of dementia and would not stop walking in circles for a few weeks. Dr. Munir was absolutely useless, he was acting like he was scared of my 8 pound precious pup, and never went over the diagnostic test results or treatment plan with us. He also never mentioned or talked about vestibular disease which a quick google search immediately suggested. He should not be licensed if he cannot accurately suggest and explain ALL possibilities based on an examination and test results. Because our pup was just absolutely miserable and had been battling dementia for a year or two, we decided to let him rest. Not only was this process not explained to us in the slightest, I had to call twice to get more details about how to make my dog as comfortable as possible and how to proceed.
Another vet was in the office when we went back and he decided to wait till the day of the euthanasia to explain vestibular disease to us. I had spent all week looking up this disease, but ultimately concluded that my dog had different symptoms. I mistakenly trusted PetCura to do their job and thought they would mention this possibility from the very first visit if it was a concern. This is my biggest regret. I wish I listened to my gut and went somewhere else for a second opinion.
The whole office failed us by giving us this information way too late. We were put in the most difficult predicament I have ever been in and we just had no idea what the right decision truly was. It was not a nice or comforting experience in the slightest. I am so sad that their neglect and irresponsibility made my final moments with my pup so stressful.
I hope Dr. Munir feels awful about the way he treated us and I hope no one goes to him, as he is the worst vet I have ever come across. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone at all. Please please please save yourself the heartache and never step foot in this office. Absolutely awful and makes me want to cry just thinking about how terrible they treated us in such an emotional timeHelpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Lynn R.San Francisco, United States243Aug 28, 2023
I wanted to give a 5 star review to the staff and Dr. Singh for being so caring and compassionate to my little girl, Lola Bean who came to them very sick.
Starting from the front desk staff (ALL), behind the scene staff and Dr. Singh. He knew I had a budget I had to work with and discussed every step of the way what he felt was most important for Lola Bean as far as what testing to do. I can't thank you enough, Dr. Singh!!! Also, thank you ALL front house staff! You're all awesome, so caring and have compassionate. Lola Bean thanks you too!
Lola Bean and I highly recommend Pet Cura.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Linda G.CA, United States0102May 28, 2023Updated review
We have been a client of PetCura since it opened with Dr. Mann. This vet is now under new ownership (2021/2022) and ever since, I have been constantly disappointed. The vet was rude and did not check my pet's heartbeat, teeth etc. The vet asked me, "What do you want me to do" I was shocked. I'm not a vet, that's his job. We had to wait about 45 minutes and not once was told sorry about the wait. My calico cat, which is mostly female, he called her by the male dog in the other room. Come on, pay attention. This place just wants your money. He never did help my fur child. Never will go back and I finally found a great vet in Livermore.
The new staff seems confused, unprofessional & very unorganized.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0Aug 28, 2021Previous reviewI wish I could say something good, but Dr. Mann is no longer at PetCura and things have changed. I called to make an appointment for my fur children on Saturday and they no longer have that service for the discount on vaccinations. Even though the coupon had not expired, That is when I found out about Dr. Mann no longer being there. I then asked the person what about my referrals to PetCura, there where 4+, She could not honor them, but would let me have credit for 1. At that time I asked about the exam that was free for the dental work, that was not honored any more either. It was only 2 weeks since Dr. Mann left I was told I believe it would have been in the best interest for the new owner to welcome the patients that have been with Dr. Mann and honor what was already in place. I would have given him a chance. In saying this I am looking for a vet that cares more about peoples pets then money. You have to make a name for yourself to become successful. I do wish the new vet well and hope the vet follows in Dr. Mann's foot steps and still helps non profit animal organizations with medical care, compassion and the time he gave to help. Dr. Mann will be missed.
Nov 28, 2020Previous reviewThe last time I can say, even during these troubling times, the staff was great and gave my Emma ( Cat, fur child) the best care. The young lady who waited on me ( young lady with 2 braids in her hair) was the best ever. She held my Emma with much care and asked me if I liked the fur trim she gave her, It was Fantastic. Very positive attitude.
Now for Dr. Mann, what can I say he is awesome. It was really hard to find someone who took the best care of my babies after Dr. Marshall's passing.
Thank God I found Dr. Mann. He also helps the community by donating his talents through non profit animal organization. Even one's I volunteer for.
Dr Mann is a good listener and understands the love I have for animals. I can tell you if you ever have a problem at PetCura , talk to Dr. Mann and he will listen to your concerns. One more thing, they do not push things on you that you don't need. Dr. Mann is not only a vet, but someone that I respect.

A few months ago I brought my doodle in for an abscess (I didn't know it was an abscess at the time). I was so scared but the entire staff there made me feel comfortable leaving my pup there. They communicated with me throughout the day and scheduled a follow up visit. Blessie even reached out before my follow up visit to see how my pup was doing! When I came back everyone on staff knew who Benny was and made me feel so comfortable leaving him there again. He needed a little surgery this time to remove the foxtail that caused the abscess. They gave me medication for him and excellent after care instructions. When we came in to remove the stitches we received the same friendly welcome.
A couple of weeks ago my maltipoo was having stomach issues. I brought her in and they did a whole work up on her. It only took a couple of hours but even then Blessie still followed up with me to let me know they were making sure she was comfortable. They sent her home with medication. Here we are 2 weeks later and my maltipoo is happier than ever!
There is no one else I trust to take such great care of my pups! The staff there genuinely care about your pets and they treat you like family when you walk in there!
Thank you Petcura for always taking such great care of Benny and Charlie!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
