Everyone here is always friendly. The staff are great, there's a wide selection/number of price points.

The guy's attitude was off putting and unpleasant from the time I walked through the door. I did get to see him have a pleasant and audible conversation with someone else. Which, in my mind, solidified that I was not just misreading him. I ended up asking the lady to help me complete my transaction. She was great, very personable. I do not understand being able to give bad customer service, unprovoked, in such a short time, in such a simple setting. I do appreciate her being able to out customer service said experience in such a short window though.

I've grown accustomed to the finer things in life over time and I have to say this store lived up to that hope. This was the only store that carried an exceptional wine I had been hunting all of Greater Portland to find. I was going to give up and ask a friend in Manhattan if they could stop in my favorite store on Lexington Ave and then just pack it very well and ship it hoping it would survive the trip.
Than I stopped in here and wistfully approached the register to ask about the wine I liked expecting to hear the typical, "I've never heard of it". To my surprise she not only knew of it she walked out from behind the counter and walked me over to it.
Not only was she gracious and helpful but they knew what they were doing here and I have been back three more times to get gifts for people here.
Excellent service and I highly recommend.

Very well stocked and organized. We came here looking for some specific brands and had already assumed that we wont be finding it here anyways because none of the other liquor stores in the area had them . well, we were proven wrong and they did stock it and had some of the other brands that my hubby was looking for . The shelves are well stocked and they are organized so that you can see most of the stuff up-front without having to ask for help . Service was fast and we were in-and out within 6-8 minutes.

Thank goodness there was parking in front. Unfortunately the fridge was down - so no cold champagne. But they had a good selection of bubbles.

The worst customer experience I've ever had.
I walked in, both cashiers noses' buried in their phones, not so much as a hello. Ok, whatever, good help is hard to find. I locate my bottle and had back to the checkout area. Neither employee bothers to look up. I have to verbally say, I'd like to pay. The woman at the first register rings up my bottle. The price doesn't match the one listed. I ask why. She doesn't know. I walk back to where the bottle was placed and hand her the tag. She tells me prices have changed. I protest, say the prices for all bottles are clearly displayed, will you not honor your own pricing? She says, what don't you understand, prices changed. So, with no notice, and going against the largely listed price, prices are now 30% more than listed. Criminal. I will never come back. Customer lost for life. I'm going to spend the rest of my time in Portland telling everyone never to shop here. If a manager reviews this 5:30pm 11/27.

Best customer service the staff is knowledgeable about all liquor, beer, and champagne (my interest but I am sure they know more) great experience with staff overall "shine shine SETI" she is amazing!

I must admit pre-pandemic I rarley ventured into a spriits store. That is why there are bartenders. In the middle of a pandemic you must become your own bartender, which I am found out I am not, but with the help of the knowledge staff here I was able to make a decent cocktail. I had bought a spritz and was looking for something to accompy it. I showed a picture of my previous purchase to the employee who was full of great suggestions. My cocktail came out delicous.

I found this place on a walk in our neighborhood and was very happy to find great local gins, cocchi americano, absinthe, etc. They have lots of exotic bitters also. Not your dad's liquor store!

Pearl isn't very large space wise but boy do they have things you can't locate elsewhere! Very nice and ready to assist staff. A real gem to get everything for your craft cocktail needs.
