our favourite family restaurant, great food and great service. our server Manal was so pleasant and friendly, made herself available even though it was a busy Wednesday. would definitely recommend to anyone.

Service was lousy and the food was not that much better. There are so many better options if you're looking for Middle Eastern food. This place is not up to snuf...won't go here again.

Staple for middle eastern. Shish tawook is a generous portion and falafel are also crispy and flavorful

We ordered the mixed combo and found the meat to be a bit dry and tough. The rice wasn't too good either; a little undercooked it seemed. The pitas were pretty good because they were made fresh and were still warm.
We placed our order using the website but they didn't start making the order until you actually showed up and paid. So whatever time the website tells you that your order will be ready is useless.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael V.Markham, ON016Dec 15, 2022
We ordered the full BBQ beef platter. Picked it up and took it home, and instead what we found was the cheaper ground beef skewers. On top of that, they gave us only 3 pita breads for our whole family. I have been eating Paramount food for years, but unfortunately this location does not measure up and I think it tarnishes the great brand. Will not be going back. For what they charge, portions should be generous, not skimpy.

I've always heard good things about Paramount but never tried it cause I didn't think it was much diff from other cheaper Mediterranean chains. I happened to have an Ubereats coupon and decided on the chicken main plate. It came up to almost $30 including all the fees etc. Although on the description it didn't mention An included salad, usually other chicken plates include salad. To my disappointment, it actually arrived without a salad. There was only chicken, rice, pickles, garlic sauce and a pita bread! This meal was 20 bucks without the fees and tip. Such a rip offffff. So not worth it!

I happened upon this place as I was heading home from a long day and decided to pop in to try it. Showed up 45 minutes before closing and the staff was as friendly as if it was midday. Was escorted to a table quickly and my order was taken/arrived quickly. I ordered a falafel wrap with lentil soup. The falafel was good, warm and flavourful. I found the falafel itself to be a bit on the salty side. The soup was great. Absolutely loved it. Worth trying again and I will be back to this place.

Got the beef wrap for $13.55, they also gave me Fries as well (not sure if that was a mistake or it was to compensate for the long wait time).
-fries seems very fresh, on the softer side (not soggy)
-the portion side of the wrap seems small for its price. Beef itself didn't seem dry but a tiny bit on the chewy side. Taste overall is ok, I would say it's better than Osmows and Shawarma Stop on Hwy 7.
Overall I give it 3-3.5/4Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 24, 2018

Paramount is an amazing spot for any meal of the day! They have an extensive breakfast menu, brunch, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner - literally anything you could possibly think of.
Paramount has middle eastern cuisine, and a few fusion dishes like their take on poutine and quesadillas.
Came here for brunch on a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The service was efficient and attentive, and the food was fresh and tasty. The ambience was nice, and I was seated immediately.
My group ordered a variety of dishes so I got to try a lot of things. The manakeesh is amazing - you definitely have to get this (I got zaatar manakeesh which is like an Arabic pesto of sorts). I also tried the chicken shawarma fries (like a poutine) and a bit of a shawarma wrap. Honestly everything here is pretty good, you can't go wrong with anything you order. The portion sizes are also pretty good, and quite filling.
You can really taste the freshness and quality of the food. It's a nice spot for a more upscale take to middle eastern cuisine. I'll definitely be back to Paramount soon!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 6, 2017
I've been to their Sheppard Avenue location several times and have always enjoyed the food but questioned the process of ordering at the counter and prepaying for the meal. This location has full table service. Yay! Did they all change? I hope so.
Our server was very patient and attentive while my friend and I waited for a third companion to join us. He was friendly and engaging but lacked the finesse of a seasoned server. Very good effort though.
We ended up ordering Falafel, two Mixed Grill Plates (chicken beef, kafta), a lentil soup, and a Mezza Plate (hummus, moutabbal, and tabbouleh). It was served with their signature puffy pita. As expected, everything tasted really good and the portions were generous (enough to take some home).
We finished our meal with some cappuccino and baklawa. A good finish.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
