The pizza was great, but this location suuucks!!! The CEO of Papa Johns must be turning over as this location is so bad. Yes, wow, they have this great app BUT you can't pay for your order on it!!! They claim to be 'contactless' but they don't take tap (who doesn't take tap???). Sooo therefore there is definitely contact.
AND WHY the efff. Are they asking for a tip???
Pizza was good though.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Samantha G.North Vancouver, BC74142172Sep 28, 2019
Every time I order pizza from this location it's hit or miss on whether the order is going to be accurate, one time or even hot for that matter. I've been through the wringer with this one but the most recent time takes the cake.
Upon finding out that I could alter a specialty pizza, I swiftly removed the onions (I cannot stand the crunch or taste of raw onions) and added pineapple (a request of a family member) and all was well... or so I thought. When I bit into it, I was met with the strong flavor of the onion because I couldn't see them due to the fact they were camouflaged by the cheese. I was then forced to dig through my slices and try to pull out the onions... but I wasn't able to get them all.
If you order from here online as I did... I would call and double-check your order just to make sure they don't screw it up.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Darren V.Alexandria, United States03Jan 23, 2021
They made a mistake in our delivery order, but took care of it right away, no question's asked.
Papa John's is Papa John's, so no point reviewing the food. Anyhow, I called regarding a minor error in our order that was ruining our 4-year old's night (insert eye-roll here). The gal who answered got me the manager right away, who immediately offered a refund, or to just correct the order; my choice. 15 minutes later the delivery driver showed up with the right order. Mistakes just happen sometimes, so it's all about how they're handled. This manager handled it right. As quickly as they possibly could, with as little frustration as possible.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sylvie D.North Vancouver, BC011Jan 10, 2020
Ordered a 14" original 4 topping pizza: black olives, green peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes which was meant to be a vegetables only pizza and got all of that with pepperoni added to the toppings by the pizza maker. This pizza was for vegetarians! I didn't want pepperoni on my pizza. Called to complain after I received and they offered me $5 off my next order which doesn't really solve the problem because now I have a pizza that cannot be consumed because of the meat that was put on there! Very disappointed!

This was my first Papa John's experience anywhere. I did my grocery shopping and just didn't feel like cooking. Getting takeout so I could watch NHL Playoff Hockey seemed like a much better idea.
Service was polite and right on time. Pizza was baked to perfection. Tasted great too!
Sure there are fancier pizza places that cost 30% more in the N Van District. The service and value for money is good with this place. I'll return for sure.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Abi B.Vancouver, BC79157157Mar 13, 2011First to Review
We ordered two medium pizzas (one beef and mushroom and one bacon, Italian salami, and pepperoni), 10 hot wings, bread sticks, and a Cinnapie, which is their dessert pizza. We also ordered dipping sauces: one ranch, one pizza (marinara sauce), and BBQ.
We were advised that our delivery would take about 40 minutes, which turned about to be a fairly accurate estimate. We were charged $2 for delivery. I'm not sure if this was a standard charge or if it was due to how far we were from their location (about 4 km).
Unfortunately, we didn't notice that we didn't get our ranch dip until after the delivery guy had left. We got garlic dip instead; it was a melted butter flavour dip with garlic. We didn't bother calling Papa John's back as we would have been almost finished eating by the time they came back.
Food was OK. The pizza and breadsticks were pretty standard. One of Papa John's selling points is that they use better ingredients and that their pizza dough is fresh and has never been frozen. I honestly couldn't tell the difference. The wings were a little on the fatty side and were more sweet BBQ flavoured than hot. I did think the Cinnapie was yummy but it didn't knock my socks off.
The verdict: Papa John's is a decent place to order pizza but I wouldn't necessarily choose them over any other pizza place unless they have a special promotion. When having your order delivered, be aware that delivery is not free and always double check your order before the delivery person leaves.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Yasen N.Surrey, BC015Nov 8, 2015
If you want pizza from this location you need to order carry out. 0 chance /tried 7 times in different parts of North shore/ to get the pizza delivered on time. Drivers always call at least 3 times to ask where is the location. I have heard stupid excuses as - I don't have data on my phone or How should I know where this address is?
In short - don't order!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Maddie A.North Vancouver, BC01May 26, 2018
My friends and I ordered a pizza around 11:00pm yesterday, as Papa John's is open until 12:45am.
We spent about 20 minutes on the phone with one lady and had to repeat address, order and phone number several times; she eventually just stopped talking and passed the phone to someone else who we had to repeat the entire order too. About 10 minutes later we got a call, from a different person, saying that since we were out of range (North Vancouver) we would have to wait an hour for our pizza, we said that would be okay and that we would wait. 2 hours later the pizza still hadn't come so we called Papa John's a few times, but nobody answered. We finally had to put a note on the door to tell the delivery man that we didn't want the pizza anymore, as it was around 2:30 in the morning. However; that ended up not being necessary since the delivery man never came. The next day we called Papa John's to explain what had happened, but the person working said that since he worked during the day, he was not able to handle problems that occurred at night. Overall, incredibly disappointed with the lack of service and follow through.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gilly E.Vancouver, BC422113Jan 29, 2015Updated review
They went back to their usual style of pizza (no thin crust) and the only guy I trust to make it is a nice asian guy with black glasses and a black hat! He lets the crust rise and makes it nice and fluffy with a good amount of sauce. The only thing missing is making their warmer plate one slice to-go pizzas a lot hotter so that bacteria does not collect. Sometimes they leave the pizza slices on there too long and its hard and chewy crust. Sadly though as many fast food joints do ...MSG is added to the food. PS: do not attempt to go during dinner time on Friday unless you pre-ordered pizza!!! It is crazy busy and they gave me a pizza made to order with a still frozen soggy crust...disgusting.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0May 19, 2014Previous reviewPapa John's used to be good.
The sauce is little to none which is the best part
The dough is raw under the toppings
The pepperoni changed bc now its like oil leaking in the dough on bottom and on top
The slices are usually cool or not fresh and they always say 5 minutes made
Hygiene is an issue
Somethings changed -for me its the sauce that makes it good and the bread but if those two things are not there then its just another pizza. - James S.San Francisco, United States721Apr 20, 2018
Ordered a pan pizza with cheese bread and asked for the pizza to be well done. When I received the pizza, not only was it not well done, it was practically RAW. The centre of the pizza was completely doughy. My daughter said it felt like slime. I completely understand that things happen, they sounded busy when we called. I've worked in pizza places when I was younger, and spent 10 years working in F&B, stuff happens. But when I called back to explain what happened and ask for a credit, they offered me a credit for half my meal. I explained the quality of the pizza ruined my entire meal, and we should have a full credit. The owner/GM ADAM vehemently denied this request. He put his foot down and said he cooked it himself and he wouldn't offer a full credit. Sorry? No credit for what is likely $6-$8 in food cost? Absolute garbage customer service. I won't be using my credit, or ever ordering from there again. He has lost a lot of money in potential future earnings from this (ex)customer. Get a grip Adam. Hope it was worth saving $15 in credit...
