I love Panino. I have been to los olivos, solvang, and santa ynez. I usually stay at Chumash when I am up here and did not realize there was one so close. We opted to try Santa Ynez today because I know the other two get super busy on weekends and it's not easy to drive in and drive out.
This one is definitely my favorite and will be my go to from now on. They were very quick and friendly and there is an adorable slightly covered patio to eat at. It was very relaxing.
Now for the food... Suuuuuuh gooood. A little pricey, but oh so good. These sandwiches are just a step above of the rest and as a food addict, I demand I have it every time I am in the area (live in Bakersfield).
I get the 12 every time on focaccia. The Focaccia is definitely the best bread they have and I would not recommend the baguette... it is a hit firm. The 12 has roast chicken with pesto, pine nuts, feta, sundried tomatoes, mayo, and green leaf lettuce. I try the food of everyone I have gone with and they all taste great but 12 has my heart. My husband got the 19 today and really enjoyed it... roast chicken, prosciutto, tomato, basil, red onion, english stilton (like blue cheese), avocado, balsamic vinaigrette, and green leaf lettuce.
Again, I love Panino and this will be my new spot!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 17, 2016
Cute lunch spot in town, a perfect stop after hiking!
Go early for lunch if you want the best selection because they run out of bread later in the afternoon (at least you know to fresh!)
---chicken salad salad: this was yummy but it was really more of a chicken salad with leaves underneath than an actual salad (it can also be ordered as a sandwich)
Take advantage of the courtyard seating in a nice day

We ordered the turkey sandwich and the chicken pesto. Both were excellent. A great lunch stop to make between wine tastings.

I always visit the sandwich shop when I'm visiting the wineries. The sandwiches are delicious and fresh. The bread is great, and so is all the salads they serve. I crave this place all the time and always visited when I'm in town

Small portions, overpriced. Not a lot of options in the area. Service was slow. Been to other locations and they were better than this.

Driving home from doing some wIne tasting in the area, we decided to stop and picK up sandwiches for lunch. We saw Panino had 4.5 stars so we stopped in. I ordered the English Cotswold sandwich-as I am vegetarian, and I'm so glad I did!! I LOVE cheddar cheese, and this sandwich, on sourdough wheat bread, with the honey mustard, fresh basil, and tomato, was ABSOLUTELY beyond DELICIOUS!!! I'm so happy! My husband got the chicken pesto sandwich and he said it was quite yummy, too!! If you are in Los Olivos or nearby, DEFINITELY take time to stop at Panino for lunch! You will NOT be sorry!!

This place is on point with their sandwiches. I highly recomend the #13 - prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted red pepper, and basil - YUM! The Spicy Italian was also a hit with my fiance.
My fiance and I ate here 3 days in a row and really enjoyed the sandwiches in between wine tasting. I advise calling ahead to save time. They also have a location in downtown Los Olivios. On busy days (such as the Christmas parade) it took about 45 minutes but it's worth the wait if you have time!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Glendon P.Santa Ynez, United States0844Jul 31, 2018
Love this shop. Great sandwiches. Do not buy extras here though. A can of soda is $3.50 and I bet you they expect most folks not to check the prices. You can get a can of soda across the street for a buck.
Otherwise family friendly environment. Nice patio to sit at. Lovely folks. Great food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nikki L.Modesto, United States0137Jan 23, 2018
We were so hungry and trying to decide where to get something to eat in a city we were unfamiliar with. When we stumbled across Panino, the menu caught our eyes. The salads and sandwiches are fabulous! We were greeted by such a sweetheart that was gracious and super knowledgeable and patient. Thank you for one of the best salads (salami and Kalamata tapenade) I've had!! I will definitely be back:)
