Q:
Do you have dessert?
A:
Yes! They have a delicious Oaxacan chocolate cake with espresso ice cream! It's so good. I think they also have churros.

For a NY'er yes. For a Dominican (my gf) definitely not.

Had an amazing early lunch here yesterday with a friend! We stopped in at 1:30pm with no reservations but they were fairly empty so we were greeted and seated right away. Everyone we interacted with were so polite and professional. They've earned Michelin stars every year since 2019 (except 2020 which I would guess covid). Our entire experience was definitely 5 stars and worth every penny. Andres was our bartender and Joselene (spelling subjective) was our waitress.
The ambiance in here is so beautiful. It's very bright with a lot of natural light and the light color way is soft and relaxing. I also love the hanging plants from the ceiling. Can't wait to go back for a date night and also to try their dinner menu.
Drinks: we started with the mariachi, which is a mezcal hibiscus drink that was very tasty and refreshing. It didn't taste strong but it's definitely a creeper. Next we tried the spicy mango margarita and the nopalito. The spicy mango margarita was really good but the nopalito was a complete fail. However, the bartender was more than happy to replace it and I got another spicy mango margarita. They also have some fresh brewed coffee/tea options. My friend got the peppermint tea and it came in the cutest "container" that brews in right then.
Food: honestly, they seem to use some of the freshest ingredients I've ever had. Like from garden to kitchen fresh, it was amazing! We started with the punta verde Caesar (their bomb twist on a Caesar salad) and the spring pea tlayuda, which is like an open quesadilla - both were soooo good! For entrees we had the pork carnitas, lamb barbacoa, and arrachera flank steak tacos. I don't eat beef so I can't attest to it but they looked good and my friend said they were delicious. The pork and lamb tacos were so juicy and tender, well seasoned, and they gave a generous serving of the meats. The sauces they dress them with just took it over the top. We wanted to sample more items but we were so stuffed.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 18, 20241 check-in
We came here for brunch on a Sunday, it was busy but service was friendly and prompt. We got spiced mango, chips and salsa, and three meaty tacos: steak, pork, and lamb. I liked the salsa presentation and different spice levels. Spiced mango was unique, sweet, tangy, and spicy. Our first taco was the flank steak - steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, queso asado and caramelized onions gave just the right amount of contrast. It was amazing. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. I thought the pork in pork carnitas tacos was extremely dry and one noted. Lamb taco was visually pleasing with squash blossom, but the lamb was chewy. We were amazed by the steak tacos and naturally expected the same quality from other tacos, and they didn't deliver.
Cocktails was delicious, except I was not feeling their take on michelada. Yes it was fancier than what I was used to, but it didn't have the usual acidity that I'm looking for. Personal preference of course.
Will I trek all the way to Green point again for this, nope. If I happen to be in the neighborhood and they happen to have reservation open, maybe I will try again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - James F.Forest Grove, Worcester, United States012Mar 19, 2024
Before I begin I'd like to preface this with I NEVER write reviews and I NEVER tip under 15%. I used to work in the restaurant industry as a waiter and bartender. I have great respect for those who work in the service industry.
However, I can say without a doubt this was the WORST service experience of my life.
This was a special restaurant booked for my best friends birthday. The food was decent but underwhelming for a Michelin star restaurant. Especially coming from my friend who is from Tampico, Tamaulipas, MX and lives in Austin, TX.
But the real kicker was the service. We had the 3 different servers over the course of our meal. The first was extremely pleasant and nice. The second was rude and condescending but nothing near as infuriating as the 3rd server. And had the it just been the first two servers I wouldn't have been angry enough to write a review or leave such a poor tip.
Now to the 3rd server: the blonde, flamboyant server with glasses. He could not have been more rude and condescending if he was a prison guard at a maximum security prison. The first server misheard me and brought the wrong drink. Which I drank and didn't say anything because I'm terrified to send things back. But when I ordered a second drink I made sure that she was sending the correct drink over in a very polite manner. However, when the 3rd server asked if I wanted another drink which I said yes and specified the correct order. I then watched the bartender make the wrong drink 15 ft away from me. When he brought it over I specified if it was the correct drink and asked for the correct one very politely. He very rudely rolled his eyes and walked away. Up until this point everything was fine with me. I then watched and listened to him and the bartender complain and roll their eyes about me while I started directly at them to make them aware I could hear them.
I do not complain often. But ridiculing me and complaining about me while I am in earshot and within eyesight is unacceptable. At the very least have the courtesy to go into the back room and complain.
We were all severely disappointment with this restaurant. And while everything else (the food, location, presentation, timing of the course's) was all very poor, it was the service in the end that brought me to write this review.
I am absolutely certain that you can find a better Mexican restaurant in the city and am completely perplexed how they obtained a Michelin star.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 29, 20241 check-in
An amazing meal, I can absolutely see why this place has a Michelin star. We ordered a ton of stuff off the menu and pretty much everything was an absolute knock out.
Another wordy review you ask? Yes-
Here's what I got and also what I recommend:
- Chips and Salsa: Not your typical run of the mill salsa & sauces. This is a fine curated selection of 6 different sauces to suit your taste buds. Each vary in texture, composition and taste. The darkest green being the mildest and then counter clockwise until you get to the most heat. My friend and I both seemed to favor the third salsa which felt more like a glaze. Pro tip is to make sure to save some of the salsas for adding to eat plate you get during your meal to customize each dish. (Highly recommend)
- Mango with lime: While I enjoyed this snack in its execution and simplicity, this isn't a "must get". It was definitely delicious and I'm glad we ordered this for the table, but if you're looking at your budget and need to cut down somewhere, start here. I agree that these are better than the TJ version (by far). This would be a good option if you wanted to pop in and sit at the bar, have a snack and a drink as opposed to adding onto a full meal. (Good, not do or die.)
- SOYA MARINATED TUNA TOSTADA: this was incredibly well seasoned, fresh and bright. I loved the addition of the radish to add some additional texture and softer crunch to the light tuna. A hint of spice but toned down with the avocado/radish combo. (Highly recommend)
- SWEET POTATO TLAYUDA: Here's where things get tricky- if you ask me, this was good but not mind blowing BUT if you asked my friend who joined me for dinner, they'd mention that this was one of their favorite parts of the meal. Don't get me wrong, it was creamy and mild in flavor and was a nice contrast for our courses because this was more subdued, but I would have preferred a bit more salt or cheese-y flavor to elevate this. (Good, not do or die.)
- LAMB BARBACOA TACOS: As soon as you bite into this your taste buds tingle. I loved the bbq styled meat. It was almost like pulled pork but not that flavor. Paired with the 3rd (glaze like) salsa, this was amazing.
-SWORDFISH TACOS: This was the table favorite. I had never had swordfish before and I am so glad that this was my first experience. The texture was so unique- a cross between really moist/tender chicken and almost haloumi like (but not flavor wise). These had a beautiful smoky grilled char on them. Mixed with the creamy labneh and onions, this was a masterpiece. (Highly recommend, a must order.)
- Carrot Cake: In theory this sounded like a nice way to round out this stand out meal but this was the only item we ordered that I wish we didn't. The cake was dry- something I found odd because I feel like that's a sure-fire win with carrot cake. The mole topping was good and the dollop of cream made it better but I'd definitely pass on this or go with a different dessert selection.
Drinks: I got the Mariachi, which I loved even though I'm not a huge mezcal fan. It was very refreshing. My friend got the guava marg and this was more mild in flavor but they ordered two, so I think they enjoyed it.
Service was amazing. I didn't catch our server's name, but she was so friendly and personable. She offered feedback on our selections when asked and also provided her opinions on what to try from the menu. My friend had even accidently spilled salsa on his white shirt and she brought over a tide to go pen- that was so sweet.
Overall ambiance is great. I love the airy, tall ceilings, beige/creamy scenery mixed with green plants. Very clean borderline boho. They offer a decent amount of seating both inside and in their (for now, covered) patio, including round booth seating for larger parties. The bathroom was also super cute (random) because there is a mini disco ball inside- lol, it's the little things.
A great meal at a great restaurant.

I am happily able to say I have been here twice for their Michelin star experience.
We tried I believe all their tacos!! Believe it or not my fav was the beet tacos.. my least fav was the lamb, a little too gamey for me.
Drinks were good and they offered diff types of tequila for the margaritas.
If you can get a reservation, give it a try!!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 8, 2024
I went here on a Saturday evening with a party of 6.
We were fortunate enough to grab last minute reservations the week of.
The environment is very clean and upscale. Our server was very attentive. We ended up getting the ceasar salad, chips and dip, guacamole, chili mangoes, and tuna tartare for the table. Definitely recommend the salad! It's a bit roasted so has a subtle smoke flavoring touch. The chips and dip came with 5 distinct and unique dips. Guacamole was fresh as well! Tuna tartare was very good. Would also recommend.
For my entree: I ordered the swordfish tacos - I thought it was just alright, more on the saltier side. I also tried my friend's Maitake mushroom tacos, and that was also very salty. The tacos sadly were a bit too salty for our liking, but it also seem my other friends in the table enjoyed their lamb barbacoa tacos.
I will say the cocktail here are very good and creative, definitely worth ordering! Would I come back? I would! I think maybe the tacos I had was just a bad night and would be willing to give it another try.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 19, 2023
My go-to spot when friends come to visit - amazing for both brunch and dinner! Perfect for a date or girls night, their selection of mezcal and tequila is unique for the area but their food is where they really shine - the perfect combination of flavors in Mexican influenced dishes.
For brunch, highly recommend the masa pancakes - one of the best pancakes I've had (the sweetness of the pineapple and the saltiness of the pancakes is a winning combo) and any of their tacos - flank steak is my personal fave 10/10
They are deserving of their Michelin star from service to ambience to food!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ken W.CT, United States05Apr 25, 2024
Excellent food and menu options. This restaurant is very much in demand and caters to vegetarians. I am a carnivore- but enjoyed each dish we ordered.

This place is truly a hidden gem In this area of Brooklyn. When we arrived we had the first table as we would need to make it back to the city for a show. We waited outside for a few while the wrapped up their pre dinner meeting. Once sat we were greeted by several different people, all friendly. We started out w drinks mine being the frozen blood orange margarita, tasty is an understatement. As starters we had the guacamole and the salsas, both came with freshly made corn chips. I had the crab taco and my friend the tuna taco. The food here is just delicious! I'm looking forward to coming back with my husband.

Had lunch here and it was an enjoyable meal! The ambiance/interior is quite nice, and the service was attentive without being too invasive.
Tuna tostada - solid option but perhaps not super exciting. They were generous with the tuna, which I appreciated.
Masa pancakes - large and SO soft!
Papas bravas - they gave a lot of potatoes, which had good texture, but honestly felt pretty ordinary
Steak tacos - the highlight for me. So flavorful and juicyHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
