Ottavio Italian Bakery & Delicatessen

Wonderful selection of meats, cheese, baked goods and Italian fare. They also do coffee and have a patio.

I bought 3 different meats, cheeses and cookies and they were all fantastico.

I highly recommend their rosemary ham and their florentine cookies. Their breads looked divine. I regret not buying a loaf but I'll be going back...

Ottavio has a nice patio with a fountain that's elevated off the sidewalk, so you're not inches away from pedestrians and parked cars. As much as I love the weird little parking lane patios that have popped up everywhere, their patio seating is a reminder of how nice patios can be. Even though their patio is very nice, I'd suggest you walk the few blocks to the beach and eat there.

They have a lot to offer, making this an easy spot to bring a picky eater. They have lots of savory salads, soups, and sandwiches. They've got a selection of fresh bread, cheeses, and grocery items. They've got gelato and they've got wine. And, of course, they have baked goods.

Their offerings are much nicer than the typical bakery / deli offerings. Let's just say this place has nothing in common with what I'm used to from the Jersey Shore. Everything looks beautiful, so get ready to Instagram your food, and they'll wrap to-go items like it's a gift.

This place is pretty popular but my guess is that the customers are all unsuspecting tourists. The sandwiches are way, way overpriced for what you get. I spent almost $15 on a sandwich that, I kid you not, had one thin slice of meat and one thin slice of cheese on it. Here's the pic.

Nice people but a complete rip off.

Where to start ...

The products (both beverages and food I.e. sandwiches) are high quality; I've had many products from them and overtime, and always top-notch!

The location is incredible; not only do I feel safe while ordering and being at their store, I also am quite pleased of where it is situated; with Willows beach and oak bay village both excellent choices!

The people is also what help make it for me! Every staff I have ever met there does the job with an upmost 'friendly-manner'.

Can't wait to come back! :)

Delightful bakery/restaurant with amazing breads and pastries. Cozy atmosphere. Had a Spanish panini with chorizo, gherkin pickles, cheese. Lovely tomato lentil soup and a fab Ploughman's lunch with yummy meats, cheeses, bread and condiments. Fine lunch spot. Nice peeps. Bought a baguette to take home for dinner.

The paninis are irresistible and outstanding. Thank you so much Georgia for being an integral and key member in helping me achieve my dietary and survival needs the affogato was also unbelievably undeniably palatable.

Delivious sandwiches, great customer service, everything seems to be made in house & the quality shows!

I am half Italian by heritage, do a place like this really speaks to my roots. So many fine products for sale, and having a late lunch there is a delight. Counter service was quick and friendly.

I enjoy visiting Ottavio for picking up something special. The recommendations from the staff are always impressive. Such a treat to visit this lovely place and receive a kiss of Italy.

Boom !! Best Bakery / Deli / coffee (latte) in Victoria area :) Lots of yummy yummy to choose from and nice patio to enjoy your treats on ! The morning sun hits the patio , so it's really nice feeling on a sunny day sipping on your coffee and enjoying your treat :) A must go if you are in Victoria
