Q:
Are they open due to covid on Saturdays still? Do they have sea urchin
A:
No answers yet. Answer this questionQ:
Do they open on every Saturday morning? And do they have sea urchin recently?
A:
Yes, they are open on every Saturday with the exception of a few holidays. Try to arrive before 0800 otherwise the free parking gets filled up fast. I think they always have urchins and rock crab all year round.

Great place to get fresh off the boat fish! Go early and beat the crowd. There's a pay parking lot right next to the dock.

Not really happy with the experience. Let's just say: 'this ain't Seattle' (aka Pike Place).

This Saturday fish market has been on my to do list for a while and although it was smaller than I had pictured it in my head, the market still had some very good buys and was well worth the trip down from Oceanside.
Fresh tuna, sea urchin, and rook fish of various types where plentiful and the prices were reasonable. And although we didn't find anything that jumped out at us shouting, "buy me", it was well worth the trip - differently one we will be making more often.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - G D.Santa Monica, United States03522Oct 3, 2017
If you love open air markets, this is the place for you!!! Freshest fish available! Most caught the day before! I bought a whole blue fin tuna for $60. They have a guy that will filet it for $5. My bf and I bbq'd it and had some sashimi too!! Lots left for more seared salads and fish tacos later! Maybe share with a friend next time or have a party They also have crab, urchin (sells out quick) and spot prawns! Excellent prices!
Go out and support your local fish monger!
They are uber friendly !!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Jacqueline V.Anaheim, United States9205Jan 23, 2020
Each year its a blessing to see how the fishermen bring in fresh lobsters and crabs while its in session. Good price, and the product is awsome.

It started out as a curious search for a fish market in SD. I saw the ratings have lots of good things about this spot, so I decided to get up early on Saturday morning and check it out. It blew my expectations. From fresh crabs, urchins, and even whole tunas. However, I would advise any newcomers to bring cash. Several stands take cards but some would charge an additional fee. I ended up getting a spider crab and a 2-pound sheephead. I walked away with über fresh seafood for $21.

A new open air fish market has opened! Every Saturday down at seaport village pier! Freshest fish you can buy from local fisherman! The fisherman tie their boat right up to the pier and sell their mornings catch. Yum!
