Just loved our meal here last summer. Everything was fresh and tasty. I had a dish with tomatoes, ricotta, pine nuts and olive oil. My husband had a cubano sandwich. We had delicious brownies for dessert.
My husband gave me the cookbook from this restaurant for my birthday. Can't wait to try it out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 26105405Jan 11, 2024
Our tour guide recommended this place to us. Upon entry, it was full and popular! Came in the afternoon for a party of 6 and waited ~20 min since we did walk-in.
I had the Cha-Cha-Chia Bowl which was surprisingly very delicious, considering it had cranberries and cinnamon apples, which isn't my typical cup of tea. The granola in the bowl was FANTASTIC - they even sell their granola by the bag as well! I had a bit of my friend's #24 Salad, and the dressing was very yummy.
Service was great and friendly. I definitely recommend others to check out this place for a nice meal in Old Montreal!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 7, 2024
3.5/5 for me
The interior of this place is cozy and everyone is polite and kind. However. I don't think I'd come back to this spot for breakfast.
I had the cha cha chia bowl and loved that it's vegan, but it was extremely sweet. Little too sweet for a morning meal.
My fiance has the Tex Mex dish and said it was not good.
The toast and jam were good - wish they had jam options. Overall it was nice, but I've found other spots I enjoy more.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 1 - Nov 5, 2023
Well, it took us forever to locate this place from the Victoria metro station. Turns out to be across from our dinner restaurant last night, Les Pyrenees. lol
This bustling cafe is mentioned in several guides and recommended from the hotel concierge too.
Arrived around 2pm on Sunday and we were quickly seated. Tables are very close together so happy to see the coat rack by the front door.
Server was very helpful and patient. Appreciate everyone's English to keep us informed .
On a chilly day, hubby loved his large bowl of chicken noodle soup and side of sourdough toast.
My kale and veggie Ceasar salad was delicious, good portion, well seasoned. Croutons were even fresh and homemade. The dressing was tasty . I asked for olive oil on the side and a tasty one was quickly delivered.
We ordered hot tea and each pot was large enough for a few cups albeit smaller mug size.
Great rock music and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. Ambience is loud though.
Pastries available for dessert. Brunch options included breakfast and lunch selections.
Would definitely return!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 5198459Feb 8, 2024
I've read so many things about this spot and am so glad to have tried it out. The interior is very festive with painted red walls and green decor. The place is clearly popular but thankfully we went during off hours on a weekday and did not need to wait. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgable. We tried the Cuban sandwich, smashed potato salad (super delicious), and sweet ricotta (this is served with plain, toasted brioche). I would certainly come back if convenient and try something else. I wish that they would include some more accompaniments or sides with their dishes however. $25 for a plain sandwich is a bit not worth it to me, especially given the casual cafe atmosphere. It would feel more complete if it came with a small salad. Still, really enjoyed the meal overall.

What can I say, this place is just incredible. Of course, we found out about this from Somebody Feed Phil, but they definitely stand on their own two feet. The food is simply incredible - everything from the egg on your face panini, to the yogurt and granola, the brioche offerings (cinnamon for the win), and the coffee -- it's all excellent.
Our first visit was on a Friday morning, we arrived shortly after opening and had only a small wait. We loved it so much we decided to go again the next day and we arrived at 8:30 (they open at 9) to a small line - we're very glad we did as by the time they opened, the line was quite long.
It's a cozy place, you'll be seated close to others, but it's bustling and is quite simply, perfect in every way.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Sep 10, 2023
Packed. Twice now I've come for brunch and the coffee is excellent, the pastries and breads, very good and the sandwiches and lunch plates looked appetizing. I haven't gone past the vegan chia breakfast bowls 'cuz they're sooooooo excellent.
Service is very friendly and attentive. It's a small resto, packed from 11am on. They close at 4pm. I reckon they're not interested in expanding hours because they don't need to.
The ambience is a very busy and crowded and hoppin', like a cozy warm and homey spot you'd find in small neighborhoods in Portland, Seattle or San Fran.
Do visit if you're in the area.

Tried this place out after saving it in my Bookmarks some time ago. I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!
Ok here's a breakdown of my review.
Food: 9/10
The food was honestly so good. We ordered a baked egg, Cubano sandwich and a peach french toast. The Cubano sandwich was simple and delish, although I had to be honest it was not super special. However, the baked egg and the peach french toast were both amazing! I will definitely come back for those!
Service: 10/10
Everyone was so nice and friendly, and I could not be happier with the service here.
Ambience + Location: 9/10
It was such a fun place for brunch, with good music . I didn't look around me to see if anyone was doing this, but I couldn't be the only girl singing while enjoying her baked egg and cappuccino.
The restaurant is located in a nice area with cute shops around. Super nice location!!
If you are ever in Montreal, definitely pay a visit here. You won't regret it!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 25, 2023
Great food, great service, and great ambiance.
This place is always packed, so I recommend you to come before they open! I got there on a Tuesday morning at around 8:50, and I still wasn't the first one waiting. And by the time the establishment actually opened a few minutes past 9, there was a decent amount of people waiting behind me.
Per my server's recommendation, I ordered the poached egg sandwich. Upon initial looks, it seemed pretty small, but it was quite filling --and delicious, of course!
Their fresh bakeries also look amazing, which I hope to try during my stay in Montreal!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 20983258Aug 25, 2023
I absolutely loved this place. I walked here from my hotel. Situated near Old Montreal this is an excellent breakfast or brunch option. It's a popular spot so be prepared to wait a bit. They have a nice selection of fresh baked pastries that folks came in to buy and take with them as well as order for their meal. I ordered the baked egg in the sausage and tomato sauce, almond croissants and chai tea. The staff was kind and attentive and did have menus in English and French.
My baked egg was sooooo good. So tender and soft, the sauce was flavorful and the tea was a lovely loose leaf. The croissant was well flavored and had a great bake. I look forward to my next visit to this location.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
