A visit to any Oberweis Ice Cream & Dairy Store brings a little nostalgia and a lot of happiness. We bake our famous waffle cones every day, make our signature whipped cream from scratch and serve our super premium ice cream in traditional fountain glassware. We welcome everyone to relax with a friendly game of chess, checkers or other games while enjoying your favorite ice cream treat. Every location includes farm fresh Oberweis milk for sale in glass bottles in addition to an assortment of premium grocery items. You can even sign up for home delivery and we will deliver Oberweis goodness directly to you. Find our stores in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Missouri. Check home delivery availability on our website.

I made a pit stop here for the rasberry lemonade, regular lemonade and strawberry ice cream. There is an open parking lot available. I was greeted upon entry and went to the fridge section to make my selections. The three items totaled $19.77. I haven't tried anything yet but hopefully it's as I remember.

What a great place! You would be hard pressed to find ice cream of this quality anywhere else, especially anywhere in the area.
How can I describe the ice cream.... the texture is....fudgy? Is that the right word? It does not feel like the cheap ice cream, it's actually thicker and sticks more, I don't know if that makes sense. We like it a lot, you can really taste the quality.
Everything else has already been said by other reviewers.
And! It's an actual dairy so you can pick up milk (in glass bottles with a deposit, so bring the empty bottle back when you are done!), butter, eggs, etc.

I came in on a weekday night. There was only a few guests inside. The cashier was really nice and patient when I ordered.
They bring your ice cream out after you pick a table.
I got the vanilla and mango pomegranate sorbet on a waffle bowl. The sorbet was delicious but the vanilla is a little too subtle for me.
My husband got the chocolate dipped bowl with chocolate and espresso chips. His was really good.
The ice cream is a bit expensive but it comes in big portion.
I do feel like there was less ice cream options this time than before.

I got the vanilla s'mores cone and it was delicious and I'd definitely get again! My husband got the soft serve vanilla and it wasn't very good... almost had a yogurt type of taste like a bit sour.

Great ice cream place. Old school free. They have ice-cream soda. Not very sweet - just refreshing.

Ok, so seriously... who doesn't like ice cream???
Even being lactose intolerant can't keep me from coming back to Oberweis (hey, we all make sacrifices in life). Sure, I'll be miserable in about 2hrs but who can say no to the rich and creamy texture and the naturally sweet notes of peaches, pomegranate mangoes, or lemon blueberry? Not into fruity flavors? No worries as they have decadent flavors like chocolate caramel crunch and honey butter cashew that will knock your socks off!
