There's a small market in the back too!

Got the birria tacos with consume which was delicious! Tacos were not skimpy, good flavor and the consume was yummy! Very filling!
Got the sopes with Al pastor. The sopes was okay. Kinda bland and the meat was so soft and not too flavorful. Good portion though!
Got a carnitas quesadilla and it was delicious! So cheesy and good portion! Came with guac inside
Got a Cali burrito with carne asada and it was just okay. Wish it was cheesier and I it was lacking flavor. But big portions!
I'd def come back for the quesadilla and the birria tacos

I've been coming to this Bushwick location less often now because they have a second Park Slope location that is a bit closer to me. But, the charm of the original location is still here, from the throng of people waiting for their orders to the Mexican snacks they also sell at the counter.
The birria ramen ($14.56) is made with Tapatio ramen and Nene's own consommé. It is a bit of a lava red greasebomb so I would advise against wearing white when eating this. But, it hits the spot when it's late and super cold outside. My favorite still remains the birria empanada.

I've stopped by on several occasions where they said they were doing Taco Tuesdays ($2 tacos) or Burrito Thursdays ($8 burritos) but got charged regular price. However, I would like to point out that regular menu prices are not unreasonably expensive; I would rather they be transparent and consistent about pricing though.
Otherwise, they have some really delicious creations. One of my favorites is the birria empanada, which features a crispy and light fried shell with the spicy stewed birria meat and fresh onions and cilantro stuffed inside. You get so much texture and flavor in every bite, and you still get to experience their famous birria.
There is street parking, though it can be a hit or miss. Be prepared to wait at least 15 min for your food to be freshly prepared! If there's a line ahead of you, then the wait can get up to 30 min or so. I'm excited for their new Park Slope location as Bushwick is a far shlep for me.- Nov 19, 2023
Possibly the best birria I have ever eaten . The consommé was so flavorful, the piña hot sauce was delicious (the green sauce was my fave tho)
The place is a no frills deli that sells mexican products from drinks to snack . The customer service was great, the gentleman that took my order took the time to explain the menu with a smile . Spent about 30 bucks for 2 people and enjoyed every penny spent .

26661108Mar 26, 2024So good I forgot to take a picture before eating it. The only thing better than the tacos is the salsa. All the tacos we had here were amazing and the food came out really fast. There's also a lot of Mexican grocery items and ice cream bars inside the store.

These are THE BEST Birria tacos I have ever had!! Get the Birria taco combo! Also get the salsas and a side of guacamole. The Birria quesadilla is out of this world too.
This is seriously the kind of meal that you will think about days later and you won't get over how good it was.
Although, I will happily drive or walk 45 min to this place at anytime, I highly recommend DoorDashing for pick up or delivery. The inside is more of a bodega and they don't have a ton of seating.
