Well, I'm 55 years old and have never been kicked out of a bar before. I've been having friend gatherings here for a few years now, sometimes 30+ people. I've never had an issue until tonight. We had 12 people who all brought food (allowed) and gathered in the outside area. It's a glorified boat storage space of concrete, but they've added chairs, picnic tables, and fire pits. It was cold out there and after about an hour and no other customers using the space, we moved the second fire pit appx 20 feet - next to us A few employees came out periodically and never said anything. We assured them more than once that we'd put everything back where it was.
Two and a half hours later, after we had collectively spent $350 in drinks and $20 in music bingo cards, a lady (who I assume was the owner) emerged from a locked gate behind us and proceeded to say that moving the fire pit was unacceptable, that if we can't enjoy the space as intended, this isn't the place for you. It was like she was letting this anger build up in her, she was shaking, her voice was shaking, and she was extremely rude. We are not a group of children. We're in our 50s and she's speaking to us like that. She said we have 15 minutes to finish up and leave.
Fine by me. I can guarantee that we're never coming back there. They can save their overpriced wine and subpar cider for others. We only liked the space because it was large and open, but there are plenty of other spaces downtown, like Seven Seas or Dystopian. Goodbye.Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - Sep 23, 2023
At the end of a hill that leads into a marina. In the heart of the marina is this tap house.
They have rooms to host your events, an indoor /outdoor seating, board games, snacks, and to go Beers.
Getting a table outside will add to the ambience.
Staff was super friendly and helpful! She suggested a peach cider. Yummm.
They also have tasting flights!
Don't forget about the gift shop!
Definitely recommend!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 5, 2024
The beer selections are amazing. If you feeling like sunset over the Narrows Bridge this is it for you. Place some board games or not, quite the view to enjoy after a long day. There's no meals in this restaurant but offers snacks. Friendly staff and again the view is amazing.

Really like this place. Visiting Tacoma and this place popped up for a nearby drive. It's right off the marina with some great views of the bay. It's a small, quiet brewery.
The gentleman at the bar was super friendly. I got the peanut butter cookie blonde ale. I really like it. Has a light beer taste with a hint of peanut butter cookie.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Jul 8, 2023
Three of us met for lunch on a sunny July Saturday. We hadn't been here before. We brought in our own lunch, and ordered beverages.
SERVICE: 4.5. Two of us needed recommendations, and the bartender's suggestions were spot on. Smooth yet prompt service.
AMBIANCE: 3.5. We sat outside on the single large picnic table, sharing it with others. View of Narrows Bridge was precious. There were also standing counters outside; the small interior had several tables.
BEER: 4.0. I had low hopes as I saw the beer selection was dominated by fruit-tinged brews. My two companions wanted fruit and were delighted with their choices: Peachy Voyage and Fruity Pale Ale. The bartender recommended I try the non-fruit Hwy 16 Blonde, which was surprisingly good, being refreshing and non-hoppy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 3, 2023
Cute location but to me the beer was only ok.
I really liked the view on the waterfront. Very pretty.
They only offer snacks but partner up with a nearby pizza place to have the pizza delivered.
Service was super friendly.Helpful 5Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jul 18, 2022
Recently checked out Narrows Brewing Company on date night, and loved it!
Narrows Brewing Company is tucked away in an unassuming little part of Tacoma. Wasn't sure what to expect because it's in an older warehouse type of spot, but the taproom was clean, updated, and cute!
Staff was super friendly and offered us samples of pretty much whatever beer we were interested in. I tried a sample of their Peanut Butter Cookie Blonde just because curiosity got the best of me, and I'm glad it did. It was interesting. The smell of peanut butter is a lot stronger than the actual taste, but it was still pretty good.
For my actual pint choice of the evening, I went with the Tempest Hazy IPA that they have on tap right now - the only hazy they have, actually. I'm partial to hazys so I just went with it. It was pretty good!
There's indoor seating, and two outdoor patios overlooking the water. We came right in time for sunset and the view was killer. Definitely a great spot to come and watch the sunset over the sound.
A good experience overall, and we're already thinking about coming back this weekend!Helpful 21Thanks 0Love this 25Oh no 0 - Jun 7, 2023
Came here looking for a place to drink by the water. Very cute place located near a loading dock in Tacoma with a great view of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. They had a variety of beers both on draft and to-go. I am currently pregnant, so they had a few options non-alcoholic options which I was thankful. Staff was very friendly. Nice patio outside with tables and standing room. There is also an inside area but also attached to the patio is another indoor area that has chairs and a fire pit. Downstairs is a restaurant as well as a bait style shop.

I very rarely say "I've had better," but in this case it's true. The beer was fine. But fine isn't memorable when it comes to beer. This is a good place to meet up with friends, shake off the week and watch the sunset with a local brew. You're going to remember the moment more than the beverage, and that's just fine.

Came here for the music bingo but was told they dont do it anymore although it was advertised in the whole brewery.
The view was amazing and the staff was friendly. They do also have a lot of games that you can play with your friends.
Will definitely recommendHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
