Oh, well, it's all okay, I suppose. I didn't think that this place really offered very much considering the prices (which were fairly expensive for such mediocre food).
The service kind of made up for it because it was very good. Very attentive and professional. In fact, I felt that the service went the extra mile. But, unfortunately, I'm paying for food so I would have liked that to be, you know, quite nice?
At the same time, it was interesting to try some different kinds of food and I would be willing to go back if someone recommended that I give it another go. I won't be going of my own volition though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jamie M.Cardiff, United Kingdom41365240May 26, 2010
We actually only came here for a drink and I'm so glad we did. For just under a fiver I got the most amazing cocktail. Margarita on the rocks it was and had cointrean and sour mixes, yum.
The food looked amazing as it was whizzed past our noses and will be coming back again to try it out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ben R.Butetown, United Kingdom17246396Sep 28, 2010
For the majority of people out there who have never tried Lebanese food I will illuminate the general trend, recipes are mostly consisting of fish poultry and rarer recipes include red meats but in this case lamb or goat is a delicacy. Humus is a favourite side sauce with pita bread and prepared to have copious amounts of olives as most dishes are cooked in olive oil, yummy.
As a flavourful change I felt the atmosphere was relaxed and the waiter service was attentive. There cocktails are highly praised, but I stuck to soft drinks.
Grilled marinated skewered lamb meats are worth a try. As with quite a few dishes sauteed, lemon with spices are a classic.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Adam K.Plasnewydd, United Kingdom42255Sep 4, 2010
Not to be confused with the frankly addictive La Mina baguette shop on Albany Road, this Lebanese/Mediterranean restaurant is equally fantastic. The prices mean it's probably best suited for special occasions rather than a weekly meal destination, but that suits the cosy vibe. Once inside you may not quite feel like you've journeyed all the way to the Middle East, but you'll instantly forget the surrounding takeaways and traffic of Crwys Road. The Lebanese wine range should be your first stop, the reasonably priced, quality cocktails make an intoxicating dessert substitute and in between thoughtful, filling ranges of regional chicken and vegetarian dishes seem particular specialities. Friendly service, while it's wise to book a table at weekends/notable nights like Valentine's Day to avoid a trawl round the streets for inferior alternatives.

Judging by the reviews none of the others have tried the food but have tried the amazing cocktails. I have had a chance to sample the food and i must admit I was quite impressed. I would say the food was reasonably priced for what I got and tasted fantastic. Although I can't quite remember what it was called I had a lamb dish which was served with rice and salad. The decor inside is quite nice, fairly well lit and the staff were very helpful in getting us our drinks soon after seating us. The food arrived promptly and it was really easy to grab the waiter's attention when we wanted another drink or to ask for the bill. I will be definitely going the Mina again if not for the scrumptious food but for the awesome cocktails.

Delicious food, very reasonably priced, super friendly staff, love it!
Highly recommend sharing a load of mezze with mates, washed down with lashings of lebanese wine, finished with lebanese dessert and mint tea.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (aligib…)Cardiff, United Kingdom244May 22, 2009
Been here a couple of times, its located in a student area, without the student prices however. It's really good food, they do lebanese food- but also some english- good in case you have children/less adventurous friends etc. I really love the lebanese salad as the starter here. Doesn't take too much room in the stomach, because the main courses are quite large. Lots of choice for the vegetarian as well.
