I am thoroughly disappointed with the service provided by Millennium Trust Company when it comes to transferring my Roth IRA account. I have encountered a seemingly insurmountable obstacle in my attempts to move my account, and this experience has been nothing short of frustrating.
Despite my repeated attempts to initiate the transfer, the company has been reluctant to assist or provide the necessary guidance. It's disheartening to see a financial institution fail to facilitate a routine process that should be executed efficiently.
Moreover, their insistence on collecting sensitive personal information, such as my social security or tax identification number, without clear reason or purpose raises concerns about security and privacy. It's unsettling when a company is not transparent about the necessity of such information.
I urge anyone considering Millennium Trust Company for their financial needs to exercise caution. The lack of support and transparency in account transfers is a significant red flag. Aug 11, 2020Previous reviewI've had the worst assitance with their staff and company over the course of multiple phones calls and email ever since my account was rolled over here. I've requested to have both of my accounts rolled out of MTrust via fax and online and now I have no account to either of my accounts to check the status of the roll over. I see no funds deposited in either of my retirement accounts nor have a recieved any checks in the mail. I do remember reading checks are drawn on the 15th. And I'm hoping that they'll be here and that will be the end of it so I don't contact your customer service again. Now Im getting another email from them stating my app request is missojg information. Aweful.

What a joke, can't access your 401k by phone, by app, by computer can't call can't get access. Stay away. And they leave a message that says call the same number I've been calling for weeks.

My funds wound up a MTrust due to an issue outside of my or Millennium's control.
I reached out online, upset, and scared after seeing all of the negative reviews. Lisa responded quickly to my review and referred me to Frank, providing a direct number.
I called Frank and we were able to speak immediately. Frank went above-and-beyond to help me to get my funds to where they were supposed to go. He said all of the right things and did all of the right things. I see a lot of poor reviews and frustration here from the past. Based on my experience today, it appears that Millennium has put some fantastic people in place to fix these previous issues. Give them a chance. I hope you have the same positive experience that I have.

I had to help my mother-in-law with a phone call to customer service last week because she's often confused and losing her memory.
The customer service was terrible. I woke up at 2:00 am feeling unsettled and read other reviews. It was no surprise to see low ratings.
The rep showed zero kindness, compassion, or professionalism. I could picture him rolling his eyes or tapping his pen on the other side.
When he said they needed a form of ID, I explained that we sent her driver's license and a utility bill last month. He said they needed another one. When I asked why, he replied, "Like I said, we need a second form of ID." No explanation, no manners. I understand if his job is not fun, but his tone wasn't professional. We went to the DMV today to get another ID, and they were actually nicer there!
We were patient while he put us on hold for 20 minutes. But he didn't give any new information after returning on the line.
We recently e-mailed arp@mtrustcompany.com and promptly received a cordial, informative response from Janet H., a Client Service Support Specialist. She is the only reason why I added a second star to this review. It was meant to be a one-star review when I started my first draft earlier.

Today I had a response from a review that I left 6 years ago about being put on Forever hold when I called and not being able to contact anybody to transfer my retirement.

DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. Use a more reputable vendor.
Mine was a roll over from my previous employer. Been trying for a year to get it to my current employer and you cant get a hold of anyone PLUS the web page just sends you in circles.

My mother passed away and she had an IRA with CapitalOne for years. Unbeknownst to me, they transferred the IRA to these Bloodsucking Monkeys. After months of dealing with them to get the money, they charged $30 for a paper invoice fee and a $100 annual maintenance fee as soon as the funds hit my account. I can't wait to transfer the money, which I tried to do immediately. But no, they say there is a mismatch of social security numbers between the accounts. I can't wait to see my exit fee.

Get your money out of Millennium Trust Company as fast as you can!
You can "TRUST" them to nickel and dime you and pilfer funds from your account without your permission or notice!
Like many others, I had money rolled over to Millennium Trust Company from a prior employer (not by choice) and the money was placed into a "Cash Equivalents" account, which was perfect. Except that my cash kept disappearing!
Unfortunately, the money would have been safer as actual cash under my mattress, because these guys continuously helped themselves to the cash in my account in the name of a variety of fees. They didn't call. They didn't ask. They didn't give notice. They just took the money.
For example, there was an account establishment fee, "Missing Address Service Fee," multiple administrative fees, "Account Closing Fee" an account transfer fee, etc.
So despite my funds being in "cash" I ended up having significantly less money than was deposited with them. Get your money out ASAP.
Edit: Feb., 2023: Still have not received back the fees that M-Trust pilfered from my account, despite them obviously being aware of the situation as they reviewed my account and responded to my complaint. Seems they'd rather keep the shady business practices up and pilfer funds from their unwitting customers than run a reputable business. S H., I am unable to review your accout as I cannot search our records based on initials. When your account was rolled over to us, you should have received a Welcome Letter from us that detailed the fee schedule associated with your account. Within that letter, there were options, on how to handle your funds, including rolling them over to another qualified plan to prevent future fees. I am unable to validate whether you received our welcome letter since I do not have your name. So much about this MTC, liar! Incompetance! Money suckers stealing retirement money from retirees who need them the most.
Marlene contacted me regarding the complaint I filed. Yet, MTC again refused to provide a distribution statement for my IRA distribution reflecting the correct post tax amount which is a majority of the funds. She passed me to the ,manager. Did the manager help me to resolve my issue? No. Instead he used lies to shut down my request. This manager repeated lies multiple times, on recorded lines, that MTC has no information on pre- and post- tax amount of my account from my former employer, even though every other representative I spoke to can retrieve the information, and the post-tax amount was on the first statement from MTC.

Our 1099-R tax form will not show this information, but we are sending you a statement from the time your account opened with us until it closed and it will show the post tax dollar amount. GE rolled my pension funds to Millennium Trust company after I left GE, without my approval!!! Once my funds got rolled into Millennium, it became their piggy bank. Even though it is a cash account, the funds has been shrinking ever since. If I leave it unattended, all my funds will eventually become theirs. There are regular maintenance fees, fees for paper statements, fees for distribution. In order to open a new account there to convert my funds, I need to first provide a credit card to them to charge fees. I have never seen any other financial firm charging such outrageous amount of fees.
What do they do for you with such outrangeous amount of fees? I have to make numerours calls in order to take my funds back from them. The majority of my pension funds are post tax dollars. Every representative I talked would initially tell me all my funds are pre-tax, even though GE provided them roll-over document clearly stating the post-tax dollar amount. I have to convince everyone otherwise. They intentionally keep the distribution process difficult --- need to prepare various documents, and unnecessarily long wait. Even after all my explanations, they still produce a tax document for my distribution indicating all the funds are pre-tax and refuse to make any corrections. They don't care if the costumers get double taxed. They shamelessly charge all the outrageous fees and yet cannot even get the tax document correct, and yet brazonly refuse to correct it! - Anthony T.San Francisco, United States081Dec 1, 2023
If I could give a zero star I would. I have tried to access my account for over 2 months. I've tried to simply log in to my account to access my information and still no luck. Now they claim they need a picture of my social security card. Now I am concerned that this company is a complete scam. I will contacting a financial advisor to handle this on my behalf. They need to be reported. 150% unprofessional!!!!!
