It appears this location has really improved based on the older low scoring reviews. I find the staff are quite friendly and efficient. The hot drinks and smoothie products come out fresh and correctly. They've even baked fresh chocolate chip cookies when they don't have any on the rack. The line moves relatively quickly during rush times. The only thing that I've noticed from time to time the trash is to the brim, but then someone attended to it pretty quickly. Compared to many other locations this one is far from the bottom and in many ways closer to the top. Thank you for your hard work, good service, positive attitude and respect for nice customers.

Back when they sold milkshakes (I'm not sure if they still do); I had ordered a strawberry milkshake and a Big Mac, to go.
You're made to pay first. The young woman filled my drink from the vanilla machine, and quickly put it in my bag, hoping I wouldn't see it. I removed the drink, and told her this was vanilla, and not the strawberry, I had ordered. She tried to convince me that I had to stir it, to make it turn to strawberry. I refused, and asked for a refund. She refused, and made another one, put it in the bag; I removed it, and asked to see the manager.
The manager comes out, and starts arguing with me. I told her, "I've ordered enough strawberry milkshakes to know, that they don't look like vanilla, and I never had to stir them before". I again demanded a refund, and started getting loud; and threatened to call the police. (Yes, I was willing to go that far).
Finally, she relented. I got my refund, took my Big Mac and left. I never went there again.
Side note: the McD's on Atwater quite often used to run out of the strawberry mixture for milkshakes. They would try to sell me vanilla. The company didn't seem to stock enough strawberry mixture, and then was pressured to push something/or trick you into taking something you didn't want. THAT, is bad service!!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tamara H.Westmount, QC1603271276Oct 6, 2017
Weirdest experience ever.... wasn't allowed to order anything even though I walked in 15 minutes before closing time.
"Sorry I already took out my cash" "we're closed" even though there were still lots of people in the restaurant. She even walked me out as if to say "get out".
Guess I'm avoiding this Mcdonalds from now on. Maybe she had a party to attend on a Friday night... franchement.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Elizabeth S.Montreal-West, QC151415Nov 27, 2016
Waited a total of 15 minutes for one chicken junior and one order of the new waffle fries. I sit down and aren't the fries cold!? The burger was "ok" but the fries I asked for a refund. Never returning there. There's a A&W and actual real restaurants right next door so.......

Coming from the motherland of McDonalds, the United States of America, we must confess the the McDonald's in Francophone McDonald's differ dramatically from their American counterparts.
They tend to be much smaller in space, their menus are much skimpier. But, Canadians seem to emphasize on health. So their food is less greasy, less sweet, and healthier
For instance, the oatmeal tend to be 2/3 of a cup, in the US it's only 1/2. The fruit in the Canadian oatmeal doubles those of the USA. In the USA, the brown sugar is melted into the oatmeal by default, and In Canada, it comes separately.
This example highlights the Canadian emphasis on health.
Another striking observation is that I have never experienced any ordering mistakes, while in the USA, I encounter it quite often. But, the large southern neighbor of Canada is not without merits, the waiting times in that country are much shorter.
Overall, it's a learning experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Michel C.Saint-Eustache, QC33324Mar 15, 2016
If you need to use their bathroom, you will find them to be the filthiest of the chain in town. Tables dirty. As for food, you will be ok, well maybe. Not my 1st visit there and disappointment every time. I used to work in a McDonalds as a teen and this totally unacceptable. The restaurants in the red light district are found to be usually cleaner.

Showed up on a Sunday morning. They only had about 15% of the menu available because the manager wasn't there to allow employees access to the freezer. I understand, it's real tough to get out of bed in the morning.
