Best Indian food I've ever ordered. I've had their lamb curry, tikka, butter chicken, and byriani. Every time the meat was so tender and delicious. The sauces were incredibly flavorful and the portion sizes for the price were Amazing as well. Their momos and gulab (which I've never had before) were incredible.
I felt like I was having a religious experience with my food.
So good I've had it four times since I discovered it 2 months ago. I'm so excited to share this spot with my friends coming to town soon!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 365234720912Feb 19, 2020First to Review
I had the Mulligatawny Soup ($6) and overall it was good, but a bit light on the chicken. I chose the meat version, but a vegetarian version without the chicken is also available.
The soup had lentils, basmati rice, coconut milk, and chicken. It was served really hot (thermodynamically hot, not spicy hot) which I loved (I also appreciated that it was in a paper bowl and not a Styrofoam bowl - I'm super leery of eating hot foods out of Styrofoam due to chemicals leaching into the food). The soup was creamy, but not overly rich and it was full of flavour. I found the amount of chicken to be a bit lacking though, as I only received a few cubes. I also personally found the portion a bit small for the price.
Their Dinner Combo Specials looked really good. They had lots of meals for $10 (vegetarian) or $12 (non-vegetarian) where you get a protein, rice, salad and naan. I intend to try one of these in the future.

I recently ordered from Masala Guys through the Kitchen Hub app, and I was pleasantly surprised! To be honest it's difficult to anticipate what we will receive when we are ordering online as it often does not live up to the quality of what you would expect to find in a restaurant. In the case of Kitchen Hub they outsource and arrange for either delivery or pick up from different restaurants in the city. As such I was even more hesitant because there are multiple steps involved here in ensuring that your food arrives in time and of the same quality from the restaurant.
I ordered the half tandoori chicken and the butter chicken dishes on this occasion as pictured. First of all, I was very impressed at the packaging as everything was well sealed to ensure that no leakage occurred. This is a must have!! Secondly the staff at kitchen hub were great and the pick up was seamless.
Now to the food itself: The half chicken was a generous portion although I do like a bit more of a char on my tandoori chicken. This also came with condiments and a salad which was a nice touch! The butter chicken wasn't the best butter chicken I've ever had, although the taste was pretty good. Overall it would appeal to those who who aren't familiar with the original and authentic butter chicken (no offence). It's a very tomato forward sauce without the creaminess and unctuousness of a traditional butter chicken. Overall the dishes were satisfying and delicious!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sneha S.Markham, ON153151109Sep 6, 2020
Went to Masala guys today when I was at the Annex Food hall. I got the lunch special with the Sabji Kurma, and it came with a whole naan, rice, and salad. An incredible deal for $9 and the quality of the food was on point. Everything in the box tasted fresh and the naan was hot out of the tandoor. It was soft and chewy and had a bit of char on it and probably the best part of the meal.
The curry I chose was a mixed vegetable curry in a cashew cream sauce. It was flavourful and spiced and had large chunks of cauliflower, broccoli and carrots. So good. The rice and naan complimented it well and the salad was fresh and cold and cut the intensity of the curry perfectly. This lunch special was exactly what I needed, the perfect portion, and so so delicious. I will definitely be returning to try some of the other dishes.
I recommend going in person if you can so you can enjoy the food fresh and hot like I did. 10/10Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Protorontonian C.Toronto, ON19208131May 7, 2021
Deee-licious.... I ordered à la cart. I ordered the butter chicken, Naan bread & veggie samosas. Came out to ~$25. Enough for 2 people.
The butter chicken was tasty - tender pieces of chicken breast in lots of spicy creamy tomato sauce to slather that chewy Naan bread in. The chicken was tender which is what I was looking for. Again - yes the chicken is indeed TENDER. And they spiced it with chilli peppers - another plus (10/10). It came with a small serving of rice.
Their Naan bread was a generous size & was chewy like I like it. (10/10) BIG enough it can easily be shared by two people. It's so chewy & lovely, you will probably finish it.
The samosas were just ok - a bit dry on the inside.
I ordered take out. The next time I would probably whip up a salad at home to have with a main dish - just to balance the richness a bit & make it a bit more healthy. It makes sense that their specials include a small salad.
Definitely would recommend this HIP place situated in Annex Food Hall for take-out CASUAL lunch or dinner. Cannot not mention there's a bar there too. Dine in when covid blows over.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Whitnee G.Oakland, United States2312039Oct 12, 2021
I ordered from this restaurant from Uber Eats and was not disappointed. I ordered the Aloo Gabi, Dhal and vegetable birani. It was by far the best Indian Food I've had in Toronto, by far! Evenly spiced, made with love, delivered piping hot and filled with fresh vegetables. My entire family loved it soo very much. We will definitely be ordering soon!

We picked up the spicy vindaloo and a butter chicken, with 2x Naan for two people. Both were delicious, and the quality of the chicken was excellent. I'm a little picky with chicken fat, and had no issues. Serving size was large, for two relatively light eaters there was definitely enough leftover for a big lunch or light dinner. We'll be back for sure!
