Since the Victoria tour picks up the Richmond guests last and drops them off first, my day was only from 9:30am to 8:45pm since the Holiday Inn Express is one of the stops. Still a long day but I enjoyed all of it. Alex the tour guide was really funny and attentive. He made sure we weren't too warm or cold during the trip and was always on time.
Each van sits about 30 people so it's not one of those huge buses. Comfortable seats but no window curtains or charger for your phone. You'll be able to charge on the ferry though.

Outstanding tour to see the infamous Butchart Gardens and the capital city of Victoria, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island! Long day of travel by bus, ferry and more bus to see the beauty of the gardens. What a thrill, enhanced by many, many fun facts by Brent, tour guide extraordinaire! Actually he's a walking history of Canada . . on steroids. Loved every minute of the 12 hours together. Use this excellent company next time you're in Canada!

Highly recommend booking a tour with this company, whether it is through Viator, GetYourGuide, or through them directly. The shuttle was prompt (they offer drop off and pickup service if your hotel is in certain areas), and the whole tour was pleasant without feeling overwhelmed with too much information.
My guide, Casey, was incredibly professional and courteous. He made everyone feel welcome and was a great guide for everything Vancouver. I would highly recommend if you have the chance to take a tour with him to do so. We even made extra bonus stops because he wanted us to take advantage of the beautiful day we had!
Thank you Casey and this tour company.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Apr 4, 2023
Our family of four did the Shannon Falls, Sea to Sky gondola and Whistler Tour, a 10hr day filled with history, story telling and sights. Our guide, Brent was informative and helpful. Seeing the water fall was beautiful, but the sea to sky gondola was a treat to experience. It was snowing and cold, and we enjoyed snow falling. We crossed the suspension bridge and took great pics of the scenery. Whistler was also a wonderful spot, we spent around four hours and enjoyed the SLCC museum and lunch. We are not into any snow sports, but can appreciate the lovely sights of nature. If you're into snow activities this would be right spot for you. Our family enjoyed a full day of sightseeing and leaving the driving to the guide.

What an awesome tour we had with Alex and Land Sea tours. We we picked up at our downtown hotel.
Our guide and driver was Alex. What a nice guy! Land sea is back after 2 years of being locked down due to covid. Alex was just as excited to explore as we were.
First stop was the Capilano River Hatchery. Not the right time of year to see a lot of fish swimming the ladder, but still interesting. Afterwards we took a nice walk through the rainforest to the Dam viewpoint.
Next stop was the Capilano suspension bridge. We spent 90 minutes exploring this popular park and then continued on to Grouse Mountain.
There, we rode a ski gondola to the top. Saw two rescued grizzly bears who just emerged from hibernation and watched a fun lumberjack show.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jennifer H.Chicago, United States0389Jul 27, 2022
Before our trip, everyone told us: "Make sure you go to Victoria". OK....we'll go. We booked with Landsea. Pickup couldn't have been easier, it was at a hotel just around the corner - a 90 second walk. It did take a bit of time to pick up folks at some of the hotels not in downtown Vancouver, proper. I guess if those folks don't book, you can start your day a half hour later, but I digress. Transportation was clean and comfortable, and temp was great as it was a pretty hot day. Tim Main was our guide. What a good guy.....He pointed out sights, talked about the neighborhoods we drove through to get to the ferry terminal, the process for loading/unloading of the busses on the ferry, when we would meet back at the bus, the food/drink offerings, best place to sit, etc. He even talked about the different ferries utilized. The man knows his stuff.
Once we got to Victoria, Tim pointed out the various spots we should see as well as when and where the bus would be later that afternoon. When it was apparent that no one on the bus knew for sure which area they wanted to see first/disembark, he made a loop around the area to let us all see what our choices were. This was great as all of us on the tour didn't just jump out at one particular spot and inundate an area with tourists.
When it became time to meet up at the bus, there was Tim with the air conditioning already running so we didn't swelter while we waited for the others on the tour.
The next stop was Butchart Gardens. It's really not close to Victoria, so there's a bit of a ride. Here's where Tim shined. The man loves his puns and Dad jokes. Seriously, you will groan your way through the countryside just listening to his puns and his really, really bad "tour guide-specific" joke.
If you manage to not throw yourself from the bus after one of his jokes, Tim will explain quite a bit about the First Nations and Indigenous Peoples and their history, both good and horrific.
Butchart Gardens is spectacular. That's really all I can say - go look up some of the reviews. I'm sure they're nothing but glowing.
As for Tim at the Gardens - he made sure all of the stragglers got back to the bus. After the day's events, there were a lot of stragglers!
The trip back to the ferry included more insight into the people, the island, etc. Ferry trip back was just as beautiful. Drive back to downtown Vancouver was purposefully different from the route we took in the morning. Tim showed us a variety of neighborhoods, sights and made recommendations for restaurants and other things to see.
We got back to the hotel at the time we were scheduled and never did we feel unsafe or unhappy.
Book the trip.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Charles B.League City, United States33013May 3, 2023Updated review
Bazil was awesome on our trip to Victoria and Buchart Gardens. A third generation Canadian, he knew the route we'll and chatted during the trip, adding much value to the sights. Buchart was so beautiful, it cannot be described in words.

Tim Main, the guide and driver, never once passed a cross word. A super young man and a credit to his company. We saw Shannon Falls and Whistler, of course, on a shortened timeline. A lesser guide might have turned the bus around and said too bad. Not Tim, just a super young man.

We took the tour to Whistler, which included Shannon Falls and the Sea to Sky Gondola. Our guide and driver was Tim. He did a fantastic job telling information and showing us the best views. We did have a slight delay (5 hours) due to a traffic situation. Tim took care of us and made sure we were all comfortable. I highly recommend this young man and the company. He made sure we saw everything despite the delay.

Enjoyed a wonderful tour of Vancouver, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Stanley Park and Granville Market, Chinatown and the Lookout. Our guide, Greg was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. Great way to see all the sights in a short time. Very professional

On August 10th while driving southbound on Main Street, I was driving next to a Landsea Tour bus. Everything was fine until the bus decided that he could just switch lanes without shoulder checking or signalling. I was in that left lane and had to slam on my brakes in order to avoid being hit by the bus as it nonchalantly wanted to come into my lane without checking. He decided to switch lanes again without shoulder checking or using his blinkers. Just because it's a larger vehicle doesn't give the driver a pass for recklessness or expecting people to yield.
I've never been on a Landsea Tour excursion so I have no experience on that front. But whomever that driver was needs to be reprimanded for unsafe driving.

Hi Arleen C.,
I am very sorry to read this incident occurred with our company. With over 33 years of experience in hosting guests on our tours from around the world, this is not the type of feedback we typically receive or pride ourselves on. Defensive driving, safety and guest experience are key components we focus on during our multi-week Tour Guide training program. After our Tour Guides obtain their class 2 drivers license, they then undertake an additional 40 hours of defensive driver training with our in-house driver training team. On this particular day, we did narrow down who was driving the bus, and please be assured we will follow up with them about this incident. Please accept my apologies on behalf of our company, and if you would like to discuss further, please feel free to call me at 604-255-7272.
Kind regards,
Karen Lewis
