Considering the other Schools that I've been to around town. It's time for the City to invest some money here. The kids deserve better

My kid started this year. So far the teachers have been great. I would give it four stars, but I will wait to update at a later date. The academic advisor or counselor did not seem very professional, and neither did some man working at admissions. Talking to him was like talking to a robot. I observed him giving a student the wrong file. When the student returned a short time later to inform him that he had given him the wrong file the man acted like it was the student's fault. I was like the nerve of this man. My kids' academic advisor didn't seem very professional. She did not introduce herself or shake my hand, was not friendly. I am a clean cut guy, slacks and dress shirt, upper middle class, so I don't know who she thought she was.
Other than the first day the school seems to be okay. My daughter actually loves school now. She seems to be hanging around good friends and her grades are up. The email exchanges I had with her teachers seem to be positive.
I was told by people in the community that this high school has less trouble with troubled students. Less drugs and other things that may not be lawful. The students that I observe seem to be good kids. Marshall definitely seems like a good high school to this point.

The track around the football field is a great place to go running! It helps to keep track of how far you've run. Very little has changed in the 60 years it's been around. I only had one really bad experience with a teacher, but that's more of reflection on the teacher than the school.
