Update review: I had previously gone to j natural spa and had a bad experience. After writing a Yelp review the manager contacted me and offered a complimentary service.

So here is the update! My nail tech , shayla, This time around definitely was a professional that really took time on making my nails look and feel good. She also gave me a bunch of helpful tips on lotions and cuticle oils etc. to take care of my dry hands and feet. I had the shellac mani pedi done and both look great and she even put a little sparkle on my ring Finger! Which adds the perfect touch!
J natural spa hired the right nail tech, she did such an awesome job and is definitely an asset to j spa.I will be recommending her to my friends in the area!
The manager who contacted me really cares about his clients , so on that note I would recommend the business as a whole ! Thanks again.

What a sublime way to spend an hour for my wife and I.This was an incredible massage. May and Ming found points of tension and knots within my body and muscles that I was not even aware of. Such strong hands, such wisdom knowledge and technique in those fingers. I am not sure if I drifted off, or simply began to hallucinate. It was that good. I absolutely recommend this place.

UPDATE
Returned again, because I had injured myself working out. After one hour with May, I feel sooooooooo much better. I feel like my whole body is glowing.

I came in yesterday as I bought a socialshopper for a Mani Pedi.
As I sit down the Vietnamese lady who was going to do my nails was getting yelled at by the other ladies and that was going on for about 10 minutes.
They finally begin and that was by bringing a lukewarm bucket of water to my feet as if I was in Asia.
She didn't talk to me at all and the room was freezing even though I asked them to turn on the heat.
I wanted to ask them the wifi password but they were too involved in themselves to care about me.
I felt so out of place coudn't wait to get out of there

Anyways didn't tip and I'm happy I didn't.

Bought a Groupon for Lipo and was pretty sceptical about what to expect. But the ladies in here were super efficient! Not only I've noticed a difference right after the first session I also felt more motivated to work on my body to enhance the effect.
Very clean and neat studio.
I've had only positive experience and great results!

I've been to over 50 spas in my life, super fancy, super expensive to home based, and inexpensive/inexperienced. I hadn't heard of J Natural Spa before, and when I got a gift cert I forgot to use it until one day I woke up with a kink in my neck & upper back.
They got me in the next day and upon arriving I didn't have high expectations.
I want to tell you how AMAZING it was!!
I had one of the BEST massages and BEST facials ever. I wasn't expecting it to be that great, I was so impressed! Ming was awesome! She's friendly, but not too talkative, and she knew exactly where to pay attention to alleviate my pain. As I was leaving the other 2 ladies that also worked there came and asked me how I was feeling and introduced themselves to me.
Really nice! :)

Summary of my experience:

First it took 5 days to book a date via email. Was out of town for the holidays so didn't want to phone. I suggest phoning in its faster. Initially I asked to schedule on a Saturday for me and my girlfriend at the same time in which they could not give me an answer and kept insisting on one after another for a 3 hour session. No thanks. This went on for 5 days where I wouldn't receive a straight answer. Then I phoned in and booked a date which worked.

First up was the pedi. My gf was attended to more than I, all the lady did was shave off the dead skin on one foot so hard it actually hurt. Then she did not clean my toe nails thoroughly, had some lint in there which remained after the pedi. My gf seemed like she had a better time with this aspect, but had a worse experience in the massage.

The massage for me was fine as I like deep massages but my girlfriend was sore the next day and didn't enjoy it. She mentioned it was too rough but that didn't change anything. Not sure if it was at all therapeutic.

After that there was suppose to be a facial that never came, which at this point I didn't care if I got or not because we had spent 90minutes in there already and just wanted to leave. The session was suppose to be only 90 minutes.


Let's start with the good:

-The place was clean
-Nice setup
-People were nice and polite

The bad:

-Poor pedi
-Massage hurt my girlfriend, I was fine as I have more muscles and needed a deep massage.
-Often spoke in Chinese around customers having private conversations. Not a big deal to me, but it's unprofessional.
-Completely left out the facial I paid for in my groupon.

Will not be returning. I don't like giving low scores but it's my honest opinion. 2 stars for the politeness of the workers.

Granted, we came here with a coupon so I was expecting just a sample of what they offer. I was put on a bed that had a heat pad on it. It was okay at first, but was pretty hot when we finished. My girlfriend and I came together but we had separate rooms. I was expecting a body massage but had only my back done. I have been in the waiting room for a while now and my girlfriend is still in her treatment room. My treatment was mediocre at best.

My girlfriend had a completely different experience however, and completely gushed over her treatment.

Bad experience :( massage felt rushed and as though the lady had no experience with massaging. The room was freezing cold. Although I did enjoy the facial, it was the worst massage I have ever had (if you can call it that)

Purchased the Groupon in anticipation of our vacation to Vancouver. Not knowing the layout of the city or what to expect, we chose this location based on price.
The employee was very friendly when I called to make our appointment and even called me a few days later to let us know there had been a cancellation for a sooner appointment if we were interested.
Once in Vancouver I saw there were many bad and unhappy reviews for this business. I can say I don't know why...
We had the 90 minute couples massage and the ladies did a fantastic job. They inquired about the temp of the room and made the adjustment my husband requested. The pressure was perfect and they each inquired if we were ok if either of us shuffled on the table. I don't usually do oil massages because it leaves the skin so slick, but here they used warm, moist towels to go over the skin after they were done. She draped a towel over my head to avoid getting oil in my hair (which I super appreciated) and we even had a warm foot soak before even going to the room.
I'd definitely recommend this spa to any fellow travelers looking for a great place to stop and relax.

The worst experience I have ever had in a spa. Wish I could give 0 stars.
Bought a groupon for a full body massage and a pedicure. As I came in I was taken into a room, that had window open onto 4th street. I had to close the blinds myself! The room was cold. When I asked to turn the heat on, I was told that I would be 'ok'! The massage table was covered in mismatched sheets. Clean? The masseuse came in as I was undressing and wouldn't leave until I asked her to. She kept saying that we need to start and wouldn't give me time to settle in. The service felt rushed and the experiment was not relaxing at all.

After the massage started, I was told that the 60-minute massage would only last for 45 if I wanted to have pedicure with a polish. The massage itself was so basic! A massage chair would do a better job. The sheets kept sliding off and I felt uncomfortable, cold and exposed. To top it off, the masseuse pressed so hard on my temples that I have had a headache for two days now. The pedicure was ok, but it was done in the entrance area with minimal comfort.
Don't waste your money!
