Customer service is unimpressive.
We've ordered product from iCork a few times, the most recent time so much product was damaged in shipping that we had to order more -- we ended up two planks short out of 14 boxes. Be aware of that potential when ordering to ship.
Without the damaged product the project would have been completed with the initial order, but now the installer needed one more box. When we requested consideration, iCork offered $20 off of the standard shipping rate of $99.59 a box, which rate is $20 more than the product itself and about half the cost of shipping the original 14 boxes.
Owing to this experience, it is doubtful that we will order again from iCork. Flooring is broadly available and the differential must be service, which in this case was lacking.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Wayne S.Seattle, United States7881May 18, 2020
I'm giving two stars because I owned a business and I know how bad a 1 star review hurts. Don't want to destroy you. Do want you to get the message.
I called the store twice in the last couple of weeks with quetions about their ad or how to order samples. With the words barely out of my mouth the woman said "You can find all your answers on the Internet". Translation - "Don't bother me ... I'm not here to help. We're so successful that we don't have to answer questions".
I did order the samples but that tone told me how my ordering process would likely go, so after some searching I found a private party who had similar cork, then called around to find more because I was short. I ended up getting in touch with Pacific NW Flooring. They found that the product is no longer manufactured but spent the day searching and found some in Georgia so I bought it.
It cost me almost $800.00 more, but I'd rather spend my money with someone who actually took the time to earn it.
Gonna answer the phone? Be prepared to be grateful you have a job and give the customer service you expect to be paid for.
Translation - Those two calls cost you $2,000.00Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Billy T.Murrells Inlet, United States01Jun 24, 2019
The product is first rate and the customer service goes beyond what I expected!
These really care about their product and will help in any way during installation and sealing! We couldn't be happier!!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 9496247950Jan 16, 2014
iCork Floor doesn't just offer variety and amazing quality products, they also have superb customer service, I mean, every business big or small should learn a thing or two from iCork. I live in South Florida, and I was looking for glue on cork wall tiles for an accent wall in my media room. I looked everywhere locally and the people who did offer cork tiles mostly offered just floor tiles not glue on tiles but also they only had a handful to choose from and the prices they were quoting me were ridiculous! I searched all over Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and I still couldn't find exactly what I was looking.
I did a Google search for cork wall tiles and came across iCork Floor, I ordered several samples from a very friendly and patient rep, 10 different samples were shipped right away to me along with an email and tracking confirmation, I was shocked to find that these where large samples not a tiny little patches offered by the many local stores I encountered.
Not only did I receive large samples delivered to my house FREE OF CHARGE, but my overall order came up 3 TIMES CHEAPER than any of the local places I had gotten quotes form and that's including the shipping costs to send it to south Florida! Anne took my order when I called, she was also very friendly and knowledgeable. I have to admit I was nervous of the quality of the actual order because I couldn't believe it cost 3 times cheaper, but the quality is wonderful! I couldn't be happier with my purchase.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sue W.Seattle, United States3311Sep 1, 2014
The one star is because of the poor customer service I received; I did some research and it does appear that iCork Floor has the best prices around. I don't expect any kind of superb experience buying flooring, however, the lady who helped me was extremely impolite.
I had just bought a house and wanted to replace the carpet with something more hygienic. My father is quite handy, so I brought him along to give me his opinions on flooring. The woman (I don't remember her name) who worked there kept making comments like, "Dad, looks like she has expensive taste... I'm sure you know all about THAT." Even after he told her that he's just here to help, not to buy me flooring, she kept insinuating that "daddy" was buying me a floor and that I was a spoiled princess. A blue-collar worker who rents, he was extremely embarrassed. Needless to say, I was also very embarrassed.
If you're looking for cheap (and cheap-looking) cork flooring and don't mind being judged by a complete idiot, iCork Floor is a good choice for you. Otherwise, 0/10 not recommended.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

I am sorry that this occurred, this is in no way something that should have happened in our place of business. Should you have called back to tell us we could have dealt with this situation right away. But please be assured that employee is no longer employed with us shortly after the incident occurred.

iCork flooring down in Kent turned out to have the best price on cork flooring in the Seattle area. And they have a huge selection of styles, in both the click and glue down versions. I got the click kind.
They delivered enough flooring to cover my 1000 square foot condo for $100, which was a bonus, because flooring is heavy!
They don't install, so I had Dallas Watson lay the floor. They look fabulous and feel great! And since I live on the second floor of my condo building, the cork needed to reduce noise transmission to my neighbor below me and she thinks it has. I also used the cork underlayment for this reason.
I also put it in my kitchen, and so far so good.
The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them and iCork!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Janeen B.Bridlemile, Portland, United States03May 12, 2020
I had been researching flooring that was non toxic which happens to be cork or marmoleum. I cork floor is 2-$3 cheaper per square foot than any competetors I had found, plus they send out free samples whereas the others charged for their samples. Once I placed my order, I received a follow up call and realized I needed the glue down vs. floating floor. I would have had not known all this information without that follow up call. In addition, they have a very detailed attachments and videos explaining multiple times the 2 products needed for sticking it and finishing and explained how other products will actually ruin the floor! They do not push at all for you to buy the install products through them, only inform. Their list of tools is also very comprehensive and well as a how to video! They are top notch products and top notch customer service. Highly recommended 10 of 10 stars. Thank you! Janeen

I purchased 70 cartons of Forna White Granite cork flooring from iCork. Within 2 years of installation the floor completely changed color and is peeling everywhere. ICork was great at telling me why this was NOT covered under warranty and that essentially they would do nothing. I just figured out that the product has failed everywhere it is exposed to sunlight. I highly recommend NOT using this product in any room that is exposed to any direct sunlight. Forna's warranty is more like a list of excuses and does not state what it covers, only what is excluded, and that is everything. BRUTAL. I have to replace all the 2 year old flooring and it won't be with cork.

Instructions to install the floor were great; the process was easy enough for a flooring beginner; the time from start to finish was within my tolerance. Now I have a beautiful and warm cork floor in my bathroom!
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 25, 2014Previous reviewOK, I agree that the selection is outstanding and the price is right, but I haven't had the same easy customer service experience as a previous reviewer. Now granted, when I am conversing with someone who is prickly, I tend to get prickly back, but it takes two to tango. My experience - First call: "i'm putting you on hold" click. No customary, "do you mind if I put you on hold?" So I waited a little and hung up. Called back later and asked if customer service rep had time to answer my Qs. We were both a bit prickly because I called her on putting me abruptly on hold. BUT. She was fantastic at sending samples quickly! So I selected what I wanted and called for advice on adhesive and sealant amounts. I got a quick and professional answer and a promise of a call back when she could provide a shipping quote. She did call, but I was not available. So, I called her the next day to complete the purchase. She gave me a shipping price, told me she assumed I knew what the merchandise total was, so she didn't provide that, and would/could not give me an invoice with the total amount my card would be charged. Hmmm??? She wanted me to give her my credit card number over the phone with no invoice. I'm simply not trusting enough to do business that way. In my business, I give invoices (before payment) and receipts (after payment). She told me I would get my invoice only after my card was charged and that I would get my receipt on delivery of the flooring. I understand that most customers order online and I would have preferred doing that, but after multiple attempts to register on the site, I gave up. I repeatedly received an error message with no instructions on what to do to fix the error.
So...I am going to try to have someone else register an account and work through the only ordering process (online) they seem prepared to handle. This small test project was supposed to lead to future orders from me, but for right now, the jury is out. Will update after transaction is complete...assuming we can get there from here.
