Gillis Home Building Centre

This was my first and likely my last trip to Gillis Home Hardware. The staff in the store part were semi friendly and I quickly got a sheet for a box trim to be picked up in the yard.
From here on out was just horrible. There was this man named Earl working and he took my sheet to get my order. From the start he was grumpy and mumbled. At this point I have to mention that I am a 27 year old female. I asked if he needed help, he says no and starts going on and on about how women shouldn't work in wood yards. After he spilled the trim everywhere, I helped him pick it up and pointed out it was the wrong stuff. He then starts saying "You don't know nothing about anything out here", when I replied I probably know a lot more than he thought, his response was to quiz me on where I'd find certain items in their (messy) garages. So when I said I had never been here before so of course I would not know, he again started saying "See, this is why women can't work in wood yard, they don't know anything"
There was no joking tone plus I caught him checking me out and staring at my boobs often. I felt absolutely gross and belittled. I have never had such rude and sexist service before. I do not recommend women to ever visit this store. Plus the store is very old, dirty and chaotic. Stay away.
