What a place to be! Haven had all the fancy, upscale brunch vibes. A pretty poppin restaurant in Edgewater with a great view of the city skyline across the water. We found parking on a street nearby but we also noticed a garage with some free (2 hour?) spaces on the first floor close by. The staff is polite, proper, and very well trained
Expensive but standard for the area honestly & still a tasty meal. We opted for their pre fixe brunch menu that comes with an entree and 2 drinks (choose from Mimosa, Bellini, Bloody Mary) for $39 pp. Speaking of drinks -- they were STRONG. We ordered two rounds of 2 mimosas and 2 bellinis but noted each one looked different than the other. This is definitely the type of brunch place that could send me to another planet if I tried.
As for the shrimp cocktail, only three shrimp came with it. For $22, you'd think we could at least get enough shrimp to cover the rim of the glass! Shrimp cocktail app was good but definitely too small of a portion for a pretty penny. The cocktail sauce was good - remember to drench your shrimp in it if you get it!
Now onto the HITS, the truffle mac and cheese (without bacon) was amazing! So amazing that we had to get another order of it for the table. Again, the portion was very small but the flavor was everything. There was pecorino, truffle oil, and mushrooms -- all the things! Of course, these flavors tied together perfectly well. The entire table was impressed and we all collectively wished it was a bigger plate. DEFINITELY recommend this dish, they absolutely nailed it!
I am a serial huevos rancheros orderer so of course, I had to get the casserole huevos rancheros (without chorizo) and was just thrilled with the plating and taste of my dish. The green salsa Fresca was zesty & flavorful and complemented the eggs nicely. The salad and pico was a delight & everything came together perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal!! Left no crumbs. Would recommend the dish to anyone.
Steak and eggs were good -- we noticed that they already cut the steak into pieces, made it easy to eat! The eggs Benedict were also a hit and the farm house breakfast sandwich was very filling. The famous breakfast potatoes served as sides were so crispy and seasoned nicely, tasted great & I would honestly go for a full side of the potatoes next time!
This restaurant was a delight. A bit on the pricier side but the views and vibes are there! Great place for a celebration, birthday, date, brunch with friends, etc. Lots of nice photo spots, roomy booths, tables in front of the window in front of the skyline view, good eats, and super polite staff.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 11, 2024Updated review
We went back to Haven after a year to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant is by the river, has midtown view from its dining area.
This time we got some new items. Shrimp firecrackers that were okay, the outer layer seemed stale. The scallops were nice but the potatoes and the blanc sauce wasn't tasteful to me. For entree got the sea bass, that to my surprise was served with noodles and miso broth, making it a ramen bowl. The fish was cooked really nice, runny eggs were delightful, but the ramen bowl wasn't an upscale dish to me. Finally we also got the steak skirt which wasn't tasty at all.
The service is still a problem here, hard to get hold of them during the dine-in. Other than nice NYC view this place doesn't offer anything worthwhile for me.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 1Business owner information

Thank you for your support and feedback Nehal.
Sep 7, 2022Previous reviewHaven is a beautiful river front restaurant with stunning view if NYC midtown. They have an outdoor patio seating area and also few in the pier deck.
Their menu has some great appetizers. We loved the Octopus to start of. It was not burned, accompanied by green sea weed like vegetables.
For entree we had the risotto and duck with Singapore noodles. The risotto is made with black rice and lots of seafood. Singapore noodles lacked seasoning, it would have been great if they cooked the noodles on th same sauce as the duck.
Throghout our dining, the service was pretty average. Our server was way too busy. I had to wait about 20 mins to get my mochito order in. Similarly at the end of our dinner, took me about 10-15 minutes to get my check.
There's 3% additional fee on the bill, if you pay we with your credycard. - Mar 11, 2024Updated review
I had skirt steak. 2.5/5 honestly not very good. But all other items are great. Sea bass, scallops and shrimp firecracker are delicious and well presented.
Very busy at Sunday dinner time. Reservation is highly recommended. View is amazing.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

Thanks Wei, it was a pleasure and we are thrilled to hear you had a lovely time with us.
Sep 15, 2022Previous reviewVery nice restaurant by the river. Definitely make reservations. No way getting a table by walk in.
Seafood risotto is ok. It's purple rice so it's not the same texture I expected. Grilled Octopus is good. I like the glaze on it , make it on the sweet side.
Bangkok Duck is the best out of all. Very impressive. The flavor and the portion are excellent. - 902402861Mar 9, 20243 check-ins
Brunch @ Haven in Edgewater
Pretty good menu and great ambience for brunch.
We had chicken salad and French Omelette; both were very good, and enough portion too. Just that it was a bit too salty for us.
The lounge area was already fully reserved, so we were seated at the Happy Hour area on the right side of the restaurant, which is still great with the 90s music !!! We loved it !!!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 19, 2024
Came here for lunch today... We walked in and was greeted by the hostess who had the most cheerful disposition and wonderful smile! It was rainy and gloomy outside, so we weren't in the best mood, but she turned it around quickly! We were seated at a table that overlooked the view of the ocean and even though it was cloudy outside, it still was a serene view! If you do happen to dine at this restaurant, please get a table where you can take in that beauty!
Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu, and because they changed up the menu there were some dishes that they no longer had available. But he was able to offer us great alternatives which was great! We decided to order a variety of appetizers so we could taste a a few options. We ordered the pan seared sea scallops, the short rib bruschetta, the southwestern chicken spring rolls, and the truffle mac & cheese. The seared scallop dish was the best I've ever had! The scallops were cooked beautifully (in my Gordon Ramsay voice) the dish was perfection. It was to die for! and whatever the sauces that accompanied the dish blew me away! My only negative is that I wish I had much much more! All of the dishes were extremely delicious, and you can tell that the chef goes the extra mile to make sure that each plate that comes out is no less than perfect! I truly cannot wait to come back to this establishment! Please do yourself a favor, and if you are ever in Edgewater, New Jersey, run, and do not walk here! You will thank me later! #chefskissHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 179174Feb 8, 2024

Ooh. I attended a bridal shower here. It seemed to me that everyone had a fantastic time. The staff was super attentive, including the hostess at the front door who greeted us with a smile and offered to take our coats.
I enjoyed a spicy margarita. Delicious. The cheese and cracker spread was wonderful. So was the salmon and short rib dish. There was so much to eat I didn't get to taste it all.
The bathroom was super clean and I loved that there were hand towels instead of paper towel.
Lastly, the views are stunning!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 1, 2024
Food was fresh and tasty. Not busy so we got to pick our table outside, yet under the tree shade. (Randoms walking by -if it's a busy day I probably wouldn't like the seat on the walkway) lunch quiet vibes

Came here for brunch on an insanely rainy Saturday which did not ruin the vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
I did a prefix menu and ordered the pulled short rib Benedict which was incredibly delicious. The pulled short rib sat on what I can only describe as the 15 hour potato in a slice that mimicked a slice of toast which was insane and crispy and creamy all in one. This was so genius! The meat was tender and topped with caramelized onions and then had two poached eats on top. The dish was great as a whole and I would absolutely get again, but I knocked a star off because the yolks of poached eggs were filled cooked like hard boiled cooked. While it did not ruin the dish, for an eggs Benedict they should have been runny. The mimosa were good that was part of the prefix but they were nothing fancy.
Would definitely come here again for the food and atmosphere especially on the summer as their outdoor space looked quite lovely.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lauren O.NJ, United States02459Apr 26, 2024
My experience was absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to go back. I was there to celebrate my husbands birthday and this restaurant didn't disappoint. The ambience was really romantic and sexy with breathtaking views of the city. The service was top notch and the food and drinks were delicious. I honestly have zero complaints. The scallops are a must for an appetizer and we also got the lamb and New York strip with a side of asparagus all cooked to perfection.
