We've done Gymboree classes in California and had a great experience. After relocating, we decided to check out our neighborhood Gymboree for our younger one. Coral Gables Gymboree was a disappointment. Crawlers classes are okay but the rude, arrogant, and dismissive attitude of the franchise owner ruins the experience.
The franchise owner does not understand that being polite and showing care and concern for customers' good experience builds good reputation and business growth. She says that Gymboree has been there for 30 years but does not seem to care about her reputation in the community, which is at best subpar.
For the 5 months we were there, they had trouble connecting our out of state account to the FL account which prevented me from being able to reserve classes ahead of time. I am not sure what the purpose of reserving classes is anyway because the crawlers class was always extremely full, which made it hard to use the equipment or get as much from the class.
We were approved for 4 make up classes on the phone but they wanted to register us for 2 at a time. We did the first two. When we showed up for the remaining classes, the franchise owner refused to grant us the last two and turned us away. Her tone was rude and dismissive. ("I don't know who gave you the other two classes" she said after she confirmed the dates of our first two make ups on her system. "They should not have approved those." She took no responsibility for the alleged mistake of her team and shrugged her shoulders as if she was following the orders of a superior.
If you are looking for a wholesome experience for your child with kind and caring people from the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, do not waste your time at Gymboree Coral Gables.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daniel D.Miami, United States08Jan 3, 2024
Took my child here for his 1st class Stephanie and Nicole were very rude upon entering the class was mediocre who comes with the curriculum my child ended up crying because an employee jewels made him feel unwelcomed I will not be giving this establishment any more business in the future. I had a list of mothers ready to take their children to Gymboree but after my experience I will not recommend this place to anyone

If Nicole is working, just leave. She's rude and doesn't listen to you. And according to her, the owner is worse. I spoke to someone at the franchise and they get complaints often about customer service but can't do anything because it isn't corporate. Good luck. What

This place is a joke. My husband went in today for the first time with my baby thats 20 month old and the lady in the front desk(nicole) was very rude said shes not having him in the class. Didnt even ask if we needed help or anything she just started screaming, and it was our first time inside the place. This is not i place i would recommend to any parents for their little one. So rude and unprofessional

My daughter enjoys her classes. Miss Lucy is excellent! Cleanliness is good. Nicole can be rude and unwelcoming at times which takes away from the experience.

Gymboree is one of the few nice places to bring your child for a class. It's located in Merrick Park mall which has tons of parking (park on level 3 for ease). Gymboree is always clean and the instructors are very nice. Classes are for ages 0-5, with both parent participation and drop off classes available.
