Been going to The Greek Village for years and that says enough but let me tell you that our whole extended family find the food consistently wonderful, the kind of Greek dining experience we all sorely missed until finding this treasure. Servers are fantastic and ambience is simply lovely with greek music in the background. We come from White Rock because the only thing comparable there sadly no longer is. We recently hosted a Christmas gathering with relatives here, have brought friends who all heartily agree this is the Greek food experience we all remember and have a hard time finding anymore. 10 out of 10 for food, service and ambience. Also. if there are any issues (seldom occurs in our experience), they happily make it right. Great place for special celebrations, large or small. We love it here and hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

My wife and I have been going this restaurant for over 30 years and have always had excellent experience with both the food and the server's, they are personal and friendly. We have arrived with the two of us and also with a larger group of our family, 4-6 most of times.

      Updated review

The last time I was at Greek Village was so long ago they are having me write another review, not just an update.

We recently moved back into the hood and for our weekly treat, we decided to go back to Greek Village. Can I just sit here an fan girl for a while? Cool. Strap in folks.

So a decade ago when I was last here, I was charmed by the family run service, the solid, quality food, and the comfy ambience. And while it's COVID-Lockdown2021 and I can't go in for the ambience, DH announced that "it hasn't really changed. Maybe new floors?" and the food and service was still really great. The use such good quality feta and it makes a huge difference in the texture of everything from your salad to your spanakopita. It is delectable and I am SO EFFING STOKED that we're back here so we can go pop in for a half litre of Tsantali, a fasolada (so to die for that it's criminal), and some of their hand rolled spanakopita.

Okay, I think I'm done. Basically it's been around forever (20? 30 years?) and there's a reason, people. Best Greek this side of Greece.

Went here for a birthday dinner with 5 adults and 2 children. Service and food was alright but surprisingly the bill came with the gratuity attached with no mention to any of us. So the server accepted the double tip without a word. If not for my wife I would also not have noticed, but the others doubled up. I can see why this place is mainly empty. Warning, check your bill.

very poor!!!! under new ownership. not owned by Greeks anymore . it's more like south Asian . that's who owns it . had 6 adults one child. one server for the whole restaurant. no Greek wine, no baklava, no Greek music . the whole amostsphere was awful. it was my husband birthday. made reservations. no happy birthday, no offering of dessert or coffee.. I called the next day . and the owner could care less if u didn't like it. was very nasty.. we went there for 20 yrs. no more!!!!! terrible don't waste your money. if you want real Greek food . go too a real Greek restaurant!!!!!!

My second visit to this place was more or less like the first one. Greetings can be better and with a smile. We were seated n then waiting for someone to take our order.
Finally we got our server who was in a bit of rush to take our order.(maybe coz there were less servers or thats how they are) dont know
Ambience of the place is good. Greek inspired decor with spacious seating arrangement. Seats could be more comfortable rather then just dining chairs. Bar was not sufficient and big enough to serve the customers on counter so no bar counter i would say.
Our food serving was not bad. The chicken breast in our chicken slovakia was not cooked well . I mean some people prefer really cooked n others dont. I m the former one butbi had it anyway. Didn't order any drinks so cant comment on them but there are plenty to pick from cocktails, whisky n other hard liquors .
Enough parking on the side of the restaurant. Infact there is plaza right next to the building so feel free to park there. Road facing seating is kind of distracting n nice at the same time. There are some tables at the very end of the restaurant for some private dinners.

This place has a find. I wanted some Greek food as it has been an absolutely horrendous crummy despicable money wasting day. And this was an oasis of niceness in what has been a XXXX day. It is a family owned place and the serverWas lovely. I was in a pretty foul mood I must admit. But the lamb and the Greek salad and the two glasses of wine made it great. I highly recommend it

Went to the restaurant for a Graduation Celebration October 5 2021 there were 14 of us plus a two year old.

We had the room at the back just for our group which was fabulous. Being a Tuesday the restaurant was not too busy.

I had booked in advance and met with Gina to talk over how things could be done to ensure all went smoothly. The food was fantastic everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent; food arrived at the table hot and delicious. Some of the best Greek Food I have ever had in Canada. Been in Greece 3 times so I am familiar with good Greek food. Servings were plentiful.

Gina did a great job of taking of us. The entire event exceeded expectations. Will definitely go back. The owners have been there for over 20 years so that is a further testimony to the talents in the business.

Thank you for making our celebration a succes

We just love this place!!! Everyone we are on from Chicago we make a point to visit!! The food is scrumptious and the people who own/run the restaurant are just so warm and welcoming you feel like you are going to Grandma's or a favorite Aunt's for lunch. I highly recommend the Saganaki, Souvlaki, Spinach Pie and Greek Salad. My cousin loves the stuffed grape leaves. We have been coming here for over 20 years and still haven't found a dish we don't love!!!

We recently had a large take out order for 20 or so guests and everything was perfect from them being on time to the flavour in every dish. There was so much food and everyone was very happy and full. Thank you Greek Village you are the best Greek food around and very kind and caring owners.
