These people don't even deserve the 1-star I have to give them! My child who is in Lubbock going to school at Tech went to this emergency room twice in one week with gastric distress. The 1st time they threw antibiotics at her but in the same sentence told her she just had a virus. The 2nd time (one week later) she returned with the same symptoms but they were much much worse. The dr. Entered her room with a finance person and stated 'this is not an emergency' and he wouldn't treat her until she handed over her credit card and paid $200. The dr. Gave her more bogus meds. 12 hours later she was admitted to UMC for FIVE DAYS!! So much for not being an emergency.
And to come at a 21 year old kid demanding money who is very sick AND has great insurance that does NOT require a co-pay is a JERK move. Save yourself and go somewhere else. I'm so angry I want to scratch all their eyes out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lance I.Enid, United States24810Jun 10, 2021
Terrible experience since the buyout from Covenant. Used their blood work service for over ten years. After their buyout they became completely unreasonable and what I would call modern day thieves. Service that cost $150 now cost close to $1,500 with no advance warning of the policy change. Never again.

Never will I ever check in online again. 2 1/2 hour wait before I could check in in person. Then wait and wait and wait before seeing anyone. It is the pits. I thought checking in online would shorten my wait time. I believe it made for a much longer wait time.
I don't want to wait longer.
Ok, so what more do I need to say.
The doctor and nurses were great although I didn't much care for the person (guy or girl. Not sure) in the reception entranceHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rebecca H.Lubbock, United States024Aug 17, 2020
Expect long wait times for urgent care even after checking in online and being on time for you appointment. The last time we did this, there was a two hour wait. Another problem is their outrageous fees for services and labs. Buyer beware.

After 4 visits I have determined that the average wait time is over 2 hours. I'm extreamly upset that you would have to wait for so long just to get seen for less than 5 minutes by the nurse practitioner and not even the Dr. I was impressed with the surgery however I would gladly go elsewhere rather than use this facility again due to the service.

My Father was admitted following a Turp Procedure. He was in the hospital for 3 days on 300 hall. The first day the nurses were informative and caring. The night nurse Ruth went above and beyond to provide excellent care for my father. The next 2 days were anything but good patient care. They removed my fathers Foley catheter and never even bothered to perform peri care on him. He had to request wash cloths to clean himself up. They refused to provide him wet wipes or a urinal. They never changed the date or day on the memo board in the room. So much for orientating the patient. My father never had his bed changed in the 3 days he was there. The underpad was covered in blood splatter when he got out of bed so he could get dressed and go home. Not once was he offered to be showered nor provided hygiene products so he might shower himself. He was having to use the bathroom himself after the first day and having the catheter just removed he made a mess. Nobody came in to clean it and he had no towels in his bathroom to clean up so he had to use his blanket because nobody came to help him use the bathroom nor clean up the accident he had. The board clearly stated he was a fall risk but his call light went unanswered. And he had no choice so he self toileted on day 2 and 3. To me just having surgery they didn't care one bit about my dad's well being, orientation, or risk for infection. Unacceptable.

I was totally disappointed with the first visit after traveling 2 hours to arrive to the appointment, (The staff was not able to offer or refer out-of-towners any accommodations if you have to stay overnight). We waited over 2 hours after being spoken to like I am 'bothering them' by the office staff, then to be seen by a 'Physician's Assistant (PA)'. Next visit saw doctor scheduled the surgery. This office was not able do a 'pre-op visit' by phone so I had to make another office visit to be seen again by the "PA" and given a 'packet' which contained my prescription and follow-up instructions... (After reading the packet, I would have to give them at least 7 days notice for a cancelation or I would be charged $150, no mind you I picked up this packet up the day before the surgery) Day of surgery I check in... 3 hours in I had not seen any staff until I saw one passing in the hallway... only to be told 'we waiting on the doctor'. After being there for 9 hours no food, no water.. I had my surgery done. During the procedure my disabled husband and handicapped daughter had arrived at noon...so they waited along with me all the while my husband spoke with staff regarding the lag time to which no one could give a reasonable answer and referred him some other Department Head to call on Monday. The whole ordeal was the most terrible experience I've had for a medical procedure... and it was all about 'How' I was treated BY OFFICE STAFF & NURSING. Now for the follow-up... no other doctor will see me. I feel like I m being FORCED to go back to these people who in my opinion lack Customer Service skills or etiquette.
