Stopped in for the lunch buffet at 12:30 pm on a whim and so glad we did!!
The food was FRESH because we went early and they literally just made everything.
When we walked in we were seated but the service was somewhat disorganized. We sat down at the table and no one came to take our drink order. We just got up and went to the buffet without saying anything which was fine I guess lol.
The food was AMAAAZING. Literally everything was flavored perfectly and I've had my share of Indian food because it's my absolute favorite. Out of all the buffets and restaurants from Long Island to Queens this is definitely my new favorite.

This was my first time here and got a deal on Groupon - for $22 we received 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 soft drinks (soda only) and 1 dessert. The deal did NOT include rice and bread (who doesn't eat rice/bread with Indian food?), so we had to pay extra for that. Also, any item over $9.99 we had to pay the difference.
When we walked in, my boyfriend and I were the ONLY ones there (not a good sign). However, the restaurant also serves as a Banquet Hall and there was a wedding & sweet 16 going on in the next rooms over.
Halfway through our meal, members from the sweet 16 came in the room where we were eating to set up & practice for a dance routine. Here we are, sitting at a table directly in the middle of the room, surrounded by loud 16 year olds. It was the very awkward and distracting. My boyfriend literally lost his appetite (which NEVER happens) and we bagged the food up to go.
It was really a shame our experience was so bad because the food was actually really good. As we were leaving, what seemed to be the manager gave us a coupon and his business card. Would I go back for dine-in service? Nope. Would I order food to be delivered? Quite possibly.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Allison C.New York, United States2401654463Jun 1, 2016
I can only provide my experience as a guest of the banquet hall, and not as a customer, but it was a nice space for a large wedding I was attending! This large Guyanese wedding had about 700+ guests in total; I was quite shocked that we all fit relatively comfortably in there! The interior is quite grandiose, with beautifully appointed tables and table settings. The lighting was quite impressive, with different and colorful LED light settings filtering through the venue throughout the course of the evening; the sound system, however, left little to be desired. Even when guests were at their most quiet, the sound was muffled and distorted. Out of the roughly dozen speeches given to the bride and groom, I could clearly hear only one. The MC could barely be understood throughout the evening as well, which was too bad.
The food was pretty good for what it was! The catering was largely Indian food (naan, saag paneer, chicken tikka masala), with some additional lo mein and baked ziti trays. I was satisfied. The staff was very attentive when it came to clearing plates and glasses from our tables. The bartenders were quick with their work, and their drinks were definitely on the stronger side, which made for a fun evening later on. (Haaa.)
I'm not used to attending events at huge banquet halls such as this, so I don't have much to compare it to! Still, aside from the fact that people giving speeches would have likely been better off shouting over the crowd, Golden Terrace provided a great evening.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Brenda R.Brooklyn, United States69118219Nov 28, 2017
I love Indian food, this my first time ordering from Golden Terrace. The delivery was fast, the food was okay. Tandoori chicken was a little tough. Like most Indian restaurants you are charged for rice. I paid for white rice, brown rice and Zeera rice and received 3 containers of white rice. I called the restaurant and was told that's what they have. They should have called me and let me know. At least give me what I paid for or offer to make it right next time. That's just good business. Needless so say with so many other restaurants in the neighborhood to choose from I'm done with Golden Terrace.

The food here is really good. You can taste how fresh and authentic it is. It's not too expensive and the portion size is huge. It lasted me 3 days. The meat is cleaned very well because when I was eating my left overs, the chicken tasted the same and didn't have that gross stale chicken taste it has when you put it in the fridge. I used seamless to order my food and it wasn't a problem. Waited an hour tops on a Saturday afternoon which really isn't that bad. Really great indian food for the price. My go to delivery spot from now on.

This is my usual spot for Indian food if I'm in the buffet mood. Food is reasonably priced. Both vegetarian and meat dishes are available and both are tasty. The food choice is also good for $7.99.
