Golden City Chinese Cuisine

We ordered take out from here so I can't speak to the ambiance of the restaurant or their service but the food was decent. We ordered barbecue spare ribs, crab Rangoon, eggs rolls, wonton soup, sesame chicken, and fried rice.

The sesame chicken with fried rice, wonton soup, ribs and crab Rangoon were all good.

The egg rolls were oily and the wrapper/outside was literally tasteless (the inside was slightly better).

We'll probably order again but will most likely skip the egg rolls.

Quick, friendly, affordable and tasty! I always get the boneless spare ribs combo or the sesame chicken. I hope golden city is around forever, I never want to go anywhere else.

Solid Chinese takeout and delivery.
Food is fresh and hot every time.
We have had soup....both Wonton and Egg drop.
Their wontons are excellent
Boneless chicken with vegetables in brown sauce is a solid choice.
Beef Lo Mein is awesome
Food is very similar to China Wok on Englishtown road if you need a reference.

Typical chinese. They deliever to my job so alot of us order from there. Their food is okay. I usually keep it simple and dont order anything unusual. There egg rolls are actually really delicious. My usual fair is the moo shu, which tends to be too soupy all the time. I keep saying ill try something else but I stick with that. Next time I will try their mei fun. They are reasonably quick on delivery. Prices are reasonable. You get alot of bang for your buck.
Not my favorite by any means but cheap and edible. There menu is extensive and they do have chop suey which you dont see on asian menus often. I know they do alot of take out, not a sit down place from what I've heard and seen. Their food is passable for many crappy chinese places in the area that deliever. So if your in the area and craving chinese check them out.

Yummy yummy yummy!!! All that we have ordered so far has been so good. My favorite is the fried wontons in garlic sauce.

Sort of hit or miss here. I really liked the dumplings, but my wife thought they were boring. We both agreed the dipping sauce was good, and that the crab rangoon were too fishy. The scallion pancakes were only 6 slices to an order, so 1 cut pancake, when just about everyone else gives you 2. Egg roll was pretty standard, and ribs were meaty, but all overdone.

The general taso's was tasty and crunchy, so all good there. Mongolian beef had a flavor like old oil, but wife liked it anyway... I did not. Pork fried rice and veg lo mein were a bit bland. Wife hates mushrooms and thought the lo mein tasted like them. I didn't notice as much.

Overall, not terrible.

This place is only getting a 2 star because they are always arriving earlier than they say. But otherwise it's always a guessing game with how the food will be. We have let so much slide from wrong orders and missing items but today was the last straw .. I ordered shrimp with broccoli and the shrimp was rotten like so smelly. I called and wanted a refund it took them 2 hours to come pick food up and give us our money back. Do not recommend. And will not be ordering from there ever again.

I'm not picky about Chinese food but this place is not good. The broccoli in garlic sauce had literally no flavor...it tasted like broccoli in water. The general tso's chicken was dry and just not appetizing at all...it went right in the trash. Disgusting. Never ordering from here again.

Kind people. Consistently outstanding food. Super-quick delivery. Outstanding performers on all levels.

Our go to for Chinese food in the area. Very nice people. Food is always very good. General Tso's is always very good. They also have the option to have it with "White Meat"
