Stopped by for some cake!
I came early morning around 8a and only "breakfast" type pastries like croissants and danishes were ready.
I stopped by again around noon and all the goodies were out! Lots of options but I had a soft spot for strawberry cheesecake. Around $7 for the slice.
It was packaged nicely in a box since I was going to eat it later with dinner.
Good seating indoors and some outdoors seating available.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 341257493Mar 2, 2024
Great little bakery coffee shop!
Service was a 10/10! The gentleman that helped us came around the corner to talk to us about the pastries they had and answer all our questions! He was so patient and personable.
We ordered a latte with almond milk which was good and a napoleon and chocolate fudge type cake. Everything tastes great together!
We sat here for well over an hour, laughing and talking. Great little shop! Would definitely recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 532105Feb 21, 2024
I've been here a few times and the brunch, pastries, cakes, and lunches have always hit the spot.
This time I got brunch of a caprese omelette. It comes with breakfast potatoes and a bun. The omelette was good, but the highlight were the potatoes. I almost wish I had asked if I could sub the bun for more potatoes because they were just perfectly crispy and creamy.
I also got the cafe mocha. It was good and very creamy.
The tables are sometimes hard to come by, but if you wait a bit, one will usually open up. My friend and I ended up studying after we caught up a bit while we ate. The ambient noise is a perfect cafe level for getting work done.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 4, 2024Updated review1 check-in
Let me start by saying I just love coming to this place on a weekend to chill! Such a cozy aesthetic vibe on top of delicious and fresh food! I'm a fan of their Salmon Benedicts, and anything you order from the brunch menu comes with a croissant and a fresh orange juice!! The staff are nice as well, even though they're always fully packed, but it wouldn't take too long for them to come find your table, bring your food and make sure the table has been cleaned!

Has the best cakes, my personal favorite is their strawberry shortcake.

Drove over to the west side for a meeting at Elysee bakery. Always love being in Westwood since it was my old stomping grounds when I spent summers at UCLA.
Elysee has been a fixture for decades but I had never been before! It's a cute cafe where you could have a meeting or sit back and enjoy a book! The staff is super sweet and friendly!
But now... I have to talk about the Don Corleone crepe... it is incredible!!! I want to go back just to have it again. When it was set in front of me it appeared very unassuming , with a couple little ketchup packets on the side, but once I took that first bite...I was shocked!!! The pesto was so flavorful and they don't skimp on the prosciutto. I added a photo of it sliced open just to prove how much they stuff into that little crepe. Do yourself a favor and order this the next time you are by UCLA. I definitely will.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rachel L.Los Angeles, United States31719May 20, 2024
A nice cafe in Westwood but with mediocre food and drinks, especially when compared to other cafes nearby. While I enjoyed the iced coffee I got at Elysee, my sandwich was just okay as the bread was stale and the sandwich lacked flavor. The food and drinks here are not bad by any means, but they aren't amazing either. Pretty normal and nothing to write home about. Great spot for studying though!

I love elysee! I started coming every finals week - it's a great study spot since it has plenty of seats and some outlets.
Their coffee is really good, not acidic and has that deep roast/nutty essence to it. Their cakes are also delicious, they're pretty big so I usually split it with someone. Overall ambiance is very homey and rustic - great spot :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 15871185Dec 3, 2023
This place always seems popular in Westwood so I wanted to try it out for breakfast before work. Was able to get free metered parking before 8am during the week. Was able to walk right in and order, youre given a number and then you find an open table. I thought they would have a lot more options available and pastry products on display. Not sure of the ones available were left over from the day before but there weren't many to choose from.
I did get the chocolate chip scone which was good. Latte was a latte. Breakfast sandwhich was a disappointment. There was more bread than anything. I wouldn't order again and would try something different if I came back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Emma L.Newport Beach, United States611224Apr 29, 2024
Overall, I love the taste of the food! We ordered the French toast, which came with a side of potatoes which had good flavor and some dill sprinkled on top! The portion was huge for the French toast (3 big slices of bread). I would recommend splitting the French toast because it's a lot of food for breakfast. The cafe latte and the mocha were pretty standard, nothing special but both were still good. Ambiance wise, the morning sun coming through the windows is very pretty and does give Europe cafe vibes which loved. The service was pretty fast too! :)

Went out for breakfast this morning with the three (young adult) kids and enjoyed our time at Elysee. Free two-hour parking across the street on a Sunday morning, order at the counter, take a number, find your own table, and everything is delivered to you.
We ordered two different omelets, an egg sandwich, and a make your own scramble. The side of bacon was the perfect crispiness, the home fries were chunks of potatoes deep fried (a tad too oily) - but can be swapped for fresh fruit, and you have your choice of white or wheat toast. I enjoyed my mushroom, scallion scramble (ordered cheddar but it was missing but oh well, healthier for me), but also found it a bit oily. We also tried a bear claw but it was underwhelming - the pastry wasn't particularly light or flaky, and there was no filling inside. Panera has excellent bear claws by comparison.
It was easy for us to find seating and easy parking, and a good breakfast, so that's why I give it four stars, although it might more accurately rate 3.5.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
