El Salon

My daughters and I recently visited El Salon, we always receive great service with beautiful results! Any time we schedule an appointment we leave feeling like rock stars. My daughters are excited to head back to school with their new looks. Thank you El Salon! I'll continue recommending my friends and neighbors!

I got color and a cut here. I specifically told the stylist (Ed) to not to cut my hair short and to take only a a max of about an inch off from my hair. I told him this repeatedly. He acknowledged it and said he will take off about an inch. He ended up taking off about 4.5 inches off my hair. I was devastated. My hair grows really slow and it would take about another year for me to grow back that hair. But I, like a good little girl didn't complain and even tipped him 20%. Total charges $360+. I went home and cried and then called the salon and told them what happened. The person who answered apologized and said he will have Ed call back. No one called me back, no apologies, no concessions nothing. I suffered in silence. I'm still so so upset about my hair. I spent $360 and am still suffering every time I look at my hair. Save your money ladies.

I would not recommend this salon for new clients. I set up this appointment for my 16 year old daughter with Ed. First they made her wait an hour after her appointment time with no heads up prior to the apointmnet they were running late. Ed was clearly trying to make up on time as he did her partial highlights and cut in little over an hour. The end result costing us $300.00 was a partial highilight/blond streaks and a choppy hair cut. We were offered to come back to the salon and have another sytlist take a look but we declined. Not a great experience and won't be back.

This was, hands-down the best haircut I've ever had!!! Highly recommend! Danji is an absolute pro! Speechless! I'm not a narcissist, but damn....I'm looking good! I'll never go anywhere else!

I absolutely love this salon, I have been in search for a place like this for a very long time and I'm so pleased that I discovered it. Jessica is a very talented professional and so sweet. She is super easy to talk to and I always look forward to my appointments with her. The salon is very clean and the covid protocol makes you feel extremely safe. In the many times I've been in the parking has always been super easy find. I highly recommend El Salon, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

I received a "welcome to the neighborhood" coupon for a free haircut (a very nice gesture). I haven't gotten one since the pandemic started so I was excited. When I walked in, I was first told to wash my hands and then given a sanitized pen to sign some forms. These were the first of several cleanliness protocols including immediately sanitizing anything anyone touches, I was amazed and felt much safer than almost any public place I've been in recently.
The haircut was great and Jessica was fantastic and so friendly. Highly recommend El Salon, especially for anyone already in the Wash Park neighborhood as their location is incredibly convenient.

I visited El Salon for second time yesterday , worked with Brad for a hair cut and color. Brad was great, very professional and I'm sad to say I won't be returning to this salon due to the management there.
While my hair color was processing, 2 more clients came in with a photographer - right away the photographer started taking pictures as the two clients were getting hair services-
The photographer was walking all around, not being very respectful of the social distancing protocol , as well as taking photos from all angles. While sitting in the chair, due to multiple mirrors through out the salon, I could see others images reflected, and I was concerned that my image may be in the photos. I didn't appreciate this breech in privacy, so I calmly walked to front desk and asked the manager there to ask the photographer to be more respectful of my privacy and comfort. Well-- I'm not sure what he said, but the photographer and the client started glaring at me- obviously annoyed. Then, another manager, AJ came over to the client and photographer and introduced himself, welcomed them, stating we are so glad your here, and if we can accommodate you in anyway, we are happy to do so!
So it's obvious they consider the needs of one client more important than another-
and sadly, they could have easily accommodated all clients by diplomatically stating - please be considerate of all the clients in the shop-
I wasn't there to be part of anyone's photo shoot while getting my hair done!
Maybe I wasn't in any photos, but I don't think it was up to me to have to ask for the basic consideration. Again, sadly this situation could have been handled much better if the management was more professional and considerate.
I won't return to a place that charges high end prices for low end service!

Oh my! I went in for a hair color and hair trim and was charged over $400.00. You may want to get a price quote before going in. It's been 3 weeks and the color is gone. So disappointed.

I went to El Salon for the first time yesterday even though I have lived in the neighborhood for many years. I got a Groupon for a facial because I am getting married this year and wanted to try to find a place I really liked for making sure my skin is where I would like it to be by August. The service they provided was just as if I had paid full price and that is VERY rare. The greeting staff were so warm (A.J.) and especially Oso the dog ;) and they even had a sign welcoming me since it was my first visit! Small touch that goes a long way.

The facial experience itself, with Tiffany, was wonderful. She was super sweet and knowledgeable and did not make me feel bad about my skin - which I have experienced before with other estheticians. I had was given two masks with a total of 3 treatments after the steam and extractions. While the masks were setting, she gave me foot massages, which was a very welcome surprise! Tiffany was not pushy about additional treatments but did share with me how different treatments would be beneficial down the line if I decided to do them.

Great experience, I will be back!
